Install and activation was quick. I was able to paste the activation code into the program using ctrl+v. However, like someone mentioned earlier, cut and pasting with the mouse did not work.

I played with the program for a few minutes. I like that I can edit pre-existing PDFs easily, and create PDFs from a blank page directly in the program, but I couldn't find a spellcheck or a word-wrap feature.

I realize that this is not marketed as a word processor, but a word-wrap and spellcheck feature would be very helpful when editing within ApowerPDF, if it's not already in the program.

Installed without problems.
I see on the web there is an OCR menu option, but it doesn`t appear on the installed version.
How do I activate the OCR option?

Registration process is a big pain. Uninstalled the program after several fruitless attempts. There are other programs that seem to provide the same features.

Wow, thanks for the offer, had tried the Trial version, and was never impressed, glad to try the paid version, but not much difference from trial.
This PDF editor actual price is way overpriced .
Poorly designed, very limited & Basic, Unless overlooked in it's very limited options, does not even have OCR options, and could not get Apower editor to even make scanned PDF docs editable.
It cannot edit or change all PDF info on loaded PDF forms , only certain limited info on forms
It cannot save in different formats, or even do basic conversions from PDF to WORD or other formats etc.
Who would pay for this editor each year? Even free PDF editors have more options than this one. Sorry, must pass on this one.Thks

Installed fine and activated without any problems. Used to edit a form I had created with Adobe Acrobat that had fillable form fields. I was able to make a simple text change in a matter of seconds that would have taken ten times longer with Acrobat. Great program!!

Most GOTD offerings are excellent.
However, I do not think it appropriate to offer products that are going to expire.
Too many are now offering 1 year or less usage.
This becomes try before you buy and not in the spirit of GOTD.
One does not expect free support or upgrades but at least that it will keep working..
Why invest time in something that you will lose in the future.

"Add/remove password protection"

I've just read the manual, and it seems this is misleading. Many so-called pdf editors pretend to do this, but they can't do what most people would think it means and would like to do : remove restrictions placed on documents by the third party which created them.

Oftentimes, you download a pdf document from the web, only to discover that you cannot add your own comments to it, highlight parts of it, copy and paste its title in order to name the file on your PC, print it, etc.

This is a royal pain, and that's where one needs a program to break the password protection. Unfortunately, all this software seems to do, along with many others, is remove the password protection if you know the password. Thank you very much !

I only found once a genuine pdf protection remover here, and it's called Wow Tron PDF Restriction Remover.

If anyone is having trouble registering/put in activation key, copy & paste it in. I believe the key has a O not a zero in the key. Just a suggestion. Thanks!!

Several have already asked "What happens to this software in one year", and I still do not see any reply of value from the manufacturer. I notice that this seems to be a trend among manufacturers. Why such a secret? Thanks.

This is very frustrating. The offer is bogus. When I download and try to activate, it comes as not a valid number when I enter the activation code provided in the readme text. Do not believe this free offer.

This GOTD appeared in the inbox at 8:05 AM EST. I have been trying since then to simply register an account in order to activate the program. It's now 12:20PM & still no success. There has been no response to an email sent to their support site.

The first few hours their server could not be contacted. Then I got connected & actually received the 6 digit verification code which was correctly entered & submitted. The first 3 times the response was "unknown error." The next 2 were "incorrect code."

This is entirely too much trouble. The download was deleted.

What will happen after the 1 year of licence is over? It is completely not usable or become crippleware? If there is a charge after that 1 year, will there be an option to upgrade at a price? How much?

Like other free PDF editors, this program can't edit existing PDF content or reformat and reflow the text. It can only add new content on top of the existing layer, covering something up if necessary. In any case I don't feel like messing around with Apowersoft's 1-year license - all their programs have registration issues, and tend to become unregistered at random.

I see the note saying this is a one year license. What happens at the end of the year? Revert to Trial version? not work anymore?

To the developers: Does this program revert to trial basis after a year, or are we merely unable to apply updates?

Tried to register several times but was not successful, kept getting Incorrect Verification Code in the Enter Verification Code window, gave up and uninstalled. Registration seems unnecessarily complicated, needs to be simplified.

I used a private domain email to register a new account no problem for this software.
Works magnificently for what I needed to do today!

Opens and easily edits pdfs and allowed me to easily add different levels of encryption!
No watermark.

Allows me to add text and signature as I needed.
And remove and add multiple pages without losing fill in text like I was with Adobe!

Any software which claims to "edit PDF files" must edit the original text.

What this software does is not editing. It whites out existing text, and then the user must attempt to replace that text with text which has the identical font and size, which is exactly aligned with the existing text, and which takes up exactly the original space. That's not editing; that's more like forgery.
Besides, editing would mean being able to add or subtract entire sentences, not just little snippets.

Lastly, why bother? There are excellent always-free PDF tools which do just about everything this software does:

Never mind the registration aggro, I think this is almost certainly another PDF painting program, ie 'editing' is done by painting a white (or paper colour) rectangle over the text to be 'edited', and then the new text is placed over the old now covered text in its own selection. Apart not being editing as we normally know it, this type of editing (and redaction) is wide open to reverse editing, as in deleting the painted on bits... though it may be possible to 'fix' the painting by re-printing the PDF as another PDF which will bake in in the modifications - go figure...

I entered the 6 digit pin, all it does is spin.... uninstalled...

Worst waste of time I can recall in recent history... 8 minutes so far and I had to kill the page 2x... it won't register the code it sent... took 2 minutes to accept my submit in registering an account. Stay away!!!

This is...interesting: while installing and registering THIS PROGRAM it took me unto me into my RE-REGISTERING (in-addition) Apowersoft Screen Recorder Pro (already installed and registered, formerly) AFTER MY entering registration for this...program! One doesn't KNOW WHAT--if one could re-register...itself: SUDDENLY BECOME a "Trial Version"--one might have OTHER INSTALLS from this vender reverting BACK TO "Trials" as well? So, carry on with THIS INSTALL--at cost of...former ones, probably?

Need another PDF program like I need a hole in my HDD. But that aside they have some impressive free software I intend to explore.
