I have cleaned out my registry 6 times and it still will not download. Keeps telling me that the Your free giveaway license has expired. You need to register your license to use Apex All in One PDF Tool for lifetime. It gives the email for the support and the url for the site. I have already contacted the support but have not heard back from them. I am getting very frustrated, and unfortunately the giveaway for this software is expiring soon. I had it downloaded from the last time you had it as a giveaway, if I knew that if I downloaded it again it would give me this problem I wouldn't of tried to do it again.

1. ( Apex all in one PDF tool with translator). Change PDF,s to any language, ideal for students, ideal to send to friends in other countries and vice versa to learn and communicate in their language - etc.
2. (Apex all in one PDF tool with translator and voice over for hard of hearing). This would be "AWESOME".

This Apex all in tool is great as a GAOTD, VERY NICE TO TRY. Thank you Sir/Madam.

I don't deal with a lot of PDFs. But I looked at what is being offered today and PDfill. I think it would be very nice if GOTD could get PDfill featured for a day. It covers all the bases and lets me write on the PDF and print.

GOTD GET PDFILL PLEASE.

I bought a new PC a month ago, and the install file only loads up the "Activated" box. I was able to install a couple programs over the past month, but it's not letting me install this one. Are there any settings that I need to change on my computer to get the install file working properly?

GAOTD TEAM.... yesterday I gave this comment....."GAOTD....please go back to numbering the comments. It makes it much easier to go back to see the answers given by remembering which ones (numbers) you want to check later on. The way it is now it takes way to long to find the question or statement to see any replies".... I had 29 people give this a plus sign....so I hope you will reply as to whether you would consider "numbering" the comments once again to make it easier for us to locate the replies to specific questions. Thank you in advance......Unruly

unruly, I agree with you, however, things as they are I use the "find" function in my browser to find things quickly.

Reply   |   Comment by JonE  –  7 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-4)

unruly,

Going back to September 30, 2015, when GotD changed the comments section, along their Blog announcing the changes and asking for feedback -- I think the number 1 complaint was (and still is) that the comments are no longer numbered. While using the "find" function can work as a [distant] second choice, numbering the comments is much more logical for following replies.

I hope your request to renumber the comments once again is accepted ;-)

Reply   |   Comment by Suze  –  7 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+36)

unruly, It would be nice if the GOTD team would at least address this issue. It has been requested many, many times since the number system was abolished. So far the requests have never been answered.

Suze, I don't what arrangements GOTD have with the developers, but it is fairly reasonable to assume that they must be making money and as long they are doing that our opinions don't count for diddly squat .... Sorry GOTD, but you know it's true :(

Comment numbering will be added in the near future. Thanks a lot for the feedback

The GiveAwayOfTheDay installer is not compatible with Kaspersky AV/IS. This was know as long ago as last year. Is there any work around to to get these to install? Apparently even when turned off, Kaspersky deletes something and one gets a file corrupt message when unzipping a file.

This program has a feature that is only seen in high end PDF apps. It can batch change pdf metadata. It can remove or change metadata of dozens or hundreds of pdf's at one time. A rarely seen feature. This alone makes this program of value.

Reply   |   Comment by Ray  –  7 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-1)

Ray, Unless this software can do page editing, you can only call it useless PDF metadata and page shuffler. Without capability to edit text can not be "all-in-one-pdf-tools"

Reply   |   Comment by Nathan  –  7 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+8)

Nathan, I never said it was an all in one set of tools. What I said was it offers a rarely seen tool, that of batch metadata change. If you know anything about pdf files, you know how hard it is to find batch change for free. That said, I e mailed their support and have not gotten a response about installing it. With a library of almost 10,000 pdf files, batch change is important to me.

Reply   |   Comment by Ray  –  7 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-1)

Ray,
You're correct, that is something of a rare feature, but one that I happen to use frequently. FWIW, the program (free) that I use now for that purpose is AutoMetaData. It's a very good app that I've been using for several years, so if batch editing is also important to you feel free to give it a try.

Installed program, web page says activated but when I open the program, a window pops up that says expired and I must buy the program.
Doesn't anyone test the downloads before releasing it on this site?

Reply   |   Comment by Ray  –  7 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+8)

Hi Ray,
We have tested the activation before and during the giveaway on several machines, everything works correcttly. We also see that most of the users successfully activate the product. You may probably have some leftovers in the registry from the previous giveaway of this product. Thus you need to remove the software completely and repeat the installation.

If the issue persists, please, contact apexsofts.com support team at support@apexsofts.com
Sorry for the inconvenience

Giveaway of the Day, I did uninstall the software before installing this version. I used the application's native uninstall app. to do so. I'll try again, Thanks.

Reply   |   Comment by Ray  –  7 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+1)

Ray, to remove entries in the registry need to use a good UnInstaller program. I have tried them all and bought most of them. The best by far is Revo UnInstaller. It uses the program's native uninstall and then scans your computer for leftover files and then Revo scans for leftover registry entries.

You can set the level of how deeply it searches for leftover items before you start the uninstall process.

When it finds leftover files and registry entries - it let you review them individually and select only the ones that you wish to uninstall. If you are not satisfied with a program does all that, you can install programs through Revo and it knows exactly what has been installed.

Of course it backs up the registry and sets a restore point before doing any uninstall operations.

Ray,
The only sure way of ensuring there are no traces of the software is to manually remove them from the registry, but unless are 100% sure you know what you are doing then I don't touch the registry, you could do some serious damage to your system. Good luck

Surprised that they are offering the same version as last time, wonder why they bother to put it on this site when they take no notice of the feedback.
It was compared unfavourably with PDFill PDF Tools freeware then and it hasn't improved and so I also will stick with the free version program.

A quick couple of points; first, if you create a PDF file by whatever means if there are links included in it check that they work after, second, often when the PDF file is created it is done without bookmarks, an index, you can create your own using the freeware program at the following link:-
https://sourceforge.net/projects/jpdfbookmarks/

They say it is a complete solution... Appears it can't OCR or even edit a PDF?

I've seen heaps of these "PDF" tools that really dont do anything but shuffle minor things around. Seems pointless to me.

I'll pass on this.

Twelve months on from its last outing here and the $30 Apex All in One PDF Tools 2.4.8 returns entirely unchanged. Also unchanged are the software's principal virtues, as extolled on the developer's page:

http://www.apexsofts.com/products/pdftools.html

"Split, Merge, Remove, Extract Pages: Software allows you to split your PDF documents into single and group of pages. You can merge your PDF documents into single file or multiple PDF files. Its best software with extra features, that allows you to extract single and multiple pages from your created documents and even you can delete or remove single page or multiple pages simultaneously from your PDF documents."

Elsewhere, however, software house Plotsoft's $20 PDFill PDF Editor has been updated:

https://www.pdfill.com/

whilst its long established freeware PDF Tools continues on:

http://www.pdfill.com/pdf_tools_free.html

offering these principal features on the developer's web page:

"FREE PDF functions to merge, split, reorder, delete, encrypt, decrypt, rotate, crop and reformat PDF pages, to add information, header, footer and watermark, to convert images to PDF, PDF to images or PostScript to PDF, to delete, flatten and list form fields, to scan to pdf, to create transparent image, and more. No watermarks! No pop-up ads! Free for personal or commercial use! Free distribution!"

Disappointing, then, to see Apexsofts' failure to update last year's product -- and even more disappointing to see that it still hasn't reduced its sticker price to match Plotsoft's because dollar for dollar, PDFill PDF Editor continues to be superior. As for Plotsoft's freeware PDF Tools, the GUI may be about as attractive as Atlantic City in the rain but as its principal features are identical to today's giveaway then for most folks's every day purposes, there's no incentive to forego the freeware route.

Though GOTD is a wonderful platform for both commercial developers and prospective customers in that the latter, having tried a product from the former, may then wish to buy it as a keeper, Apexsofts seems not to have realised that what it's offering continues to cost too much and provide too little in today's marketplace. Thanks GOTD, but no thanks.

All in one? Well, this program lacking in features that some plugins make it possible in Adobe Acrobat, like Quite Imposing and PitStop Pro does. Those are quite expensive :( Professional need them, so i do not like that this kind of programs call itself "all in one". I really like to get those features free! But like this "All in one" -program, it remains only a dream.

But this is only my opinion.

Many of people here it might think that program is useful, although it is not All in one. :)

Peace! :)
