Helen, I am sorry that my post with key code was wrong doing?
Anyway, my code was no longer valid and thought that was not bad to do.

I apologize if that was the case, and my comment removed.

Helen, Hi there, It seems that the activation code is missing a digit? There are only 19 digits. Of the four octets, the first one only has 4, whereas the others all have 5 digits.

Dear Helen,
Sorry for the inconvenience, for I too was presented with the "Your license code is not under validity period". It also says, "If you believe that you are getting this message in error, please contact support@aomeitech.com for help". I'm inclined to do so. What say you?
Yours truly,

Hi,
I noticed yesterday the reg problems and the promise that everyone would get the opportunity to register. Now I want to install and get the 'install period is over'. Less than 24 hours later (reading that the message 'problem solved' is only posted 21 hours ago). I reported that problem for us, Europeans, already in the past. By the time we can do something the offer is over.
Can I install & get a key somehow? Thanks

Thank you for fixing the registration problem. I just wish I had noticed this is only a 1 year license. I never would have uninstalled V6 which was a lifetime registration. My oops I guess. I just assumed this would be the same, only an upgrade. At least I don't need a partition manager too often.

I cannot even get it ti install due to an error. It gets to 43% and then has this error.....

C:\Windows\ampa.exe
An error occurred while trying to create file in the destination Directory:
Access is denied

Click Retry to try again, Ignore to skip this file (not recommended), or Abort to cancel installation.

I tried several times with same issue. I did uninstall an earlier version first so now I am not able to use that version or install this new one. Is there some way to get a a copy of the software that I Download, Install and Register this software tomorrow.

Thanks

Mine seems to have remained at v9.3, but suddenly a screen comes up saying it's been upgraded to 9.6. However, in my start menu and in the software's "About" dialog, it still says 9.3 and there is NO PLACE to enter any newer license code (There is no "key icon").

I'll await resolution along w/ others.

Thanks

Further to the comments below: Same here, it said I was using the wrong License Code. But then noticed that it had installed Standard Edition, not the Pro version. Would it have changed to Pro if the Key had been accepted?

i am also experiencing a problem with activation. But, i think that i can see the problem. The activation code supplied is only 19 digits? First Octet only has 4? All of the others have 5. There is probably a digit missing in the first octet.

Downloaded AOMEI Partition Assistant Pro 9.6, after unzipping & running setup, it says it is activated...But it is nowhere on my computer. Even tried deleting old version 6.1 & temporarily suspending my security suite (NORTON360) & "re-installing," still no joy.

Where did it go? Why did it not install?

I installed and the program required me to uninstall a lifetime version 6 before installing this software. I followed the instructions and it did uninstall my previous version. Then, I find I can't register! Something is wrong. Now I just noticed this is only a 1 year license and I can't register it. I do hope something can be done about this. i really liked the previous version.

It seems to be installing but it does not. The process ends with the GOTD message and serial no but the software does not exist anywhere on the sytem; so it is not installed.

Is there somebody experiencing the same problem? Is this the so-called "registration problem" mentioned here?

Best

Reply   |   Comment by Fulgura  –  2 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+3)

Fulgura, did you download the zip file with the installer in it, as explained in the GOTD message that you received?

Reply   |   Comment by Drew  –  2 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (0)

Drew, Yes I downloaded the original archive file with a Setup.exe, Setup.gcd and Readme.txt. I did the usual thing; unpacked and double clicked on Setup.exe, after some seconds a dialog box asking for installation language appears and the disappears. Then, a window telling me that installation is successful with a serial number.

But the software is not installed. It is nowhere on my computer and searches cannot find it either. In theory, I have it but in practice it does not exist on my computer.

Now after the registration issue is solved I tried again, to no avail. The deadline has passed and I apparently have missed this software with no apparent reason.

I had been running Partition Assistant Pro 8.5, a GOTD from December 2019, that still installs & activates, upgraded to v. 9.3 when it was on GOTD 8/2/21, but it soon deactivated, so I went back to 8.5. Then I upgraded to 9.6 earlier this month when it was given away on another site. This time it seems to be fine [so far], but I've still got the setup files & key for 8.5 just in case.

I don't work with partitions that often -- there's no need -- but I have Partition Assistant on all our Windows devices because when Win10 updates required a reinstall, too often Windows setup would add an additional recovery partition -- no real harm but you could eventually wind up with 1/2 dozen or more.

Partition Assistant Pro includes a tool to create Window To Go drives, & it works well, using the Microsoft Win10/11 boot loader, and is compatible with Secure Boot. Using a $20 SSD in a $6 USB housing I used it to create a Win11 Win2Go drive, added a 2nd partition, restored a backup of my previous Win10 Win2Go drive, & used EasyBCD to add it to the boot menu. Works well plus I can see how well any of our devices work with Win11 without having to go through installing Win11. Note: I use the Enterprise ISOs for Win2Go drives since they won't try to activate, which *I believe* could count against the hardware changes you're allowed before an OEM Windows license deactivates.

I have used Partition Assistant Pro to convert hard disks from MBR to GPT, and it works well, but there's a gotcha that AFAIK applies to any of these MBR -> GPT conversion tools... if you dual boot, & have more than one OS on a hard disk, the conversion Only works for the 1st one -- the 2nd will not boot.

Cloning partitions also worked well, though using it to individually copy the many partitions on a drive with the Linux file system setup files for the Google Flex Beta [to a VHD] it did crash once. I have not tried the Migrate OS to SSD tool. It's *possible* that it works like the tools from Paragon, Macrium, & Samsung to modify the boot menu when migrating to an NVMe drive. Note that's only necessary when the boot partition is also being moved to the NVMe drive, and no, a disk or partition clone by itself will not work. Been there, done that.

There are a load of options along the left side of the app's window, and every one I've tried usually has worked -- I did come across instances where adding a drive letter to a hidden partition did not work. As with previous versions the program's folder includes an x64 folder with the WinPE version of the app -- the version that works with bootable USB sticks/drives. Prior versions would also run in regular Windows, & required activation when you did so. This version will not run in Windows, & since I haven't tried it yet with WinPE, I can't say whether it needs activation or not -- it might not hurt to have the key handy. Having the WinPE files available is handy because you can add them to a WinPE drive or USB stick you created using different software, or run the app from a 2nd USB stick/drive. That lets you increase the utility of a bootable USB stick you already have, &/or may be your way out if the bootable USB stick created by Partition Assistant Pro doesn't work with your device.

Hello AOMEI
AOMEI Partition Assistsant a great program. Thank you for offering it here.
I already have PA Pro 6.0 that is Lifetime.

I would like to install this latest version9.6. However, this version is limited to one year. I suppose after one year it will downgrade to non-pro.

I thought I will install this in another directory so I can keep 6.0 Lifetime. It does not allow me to install in another directory without removing Lifetime 6.0.

Looking at this after one year, What is the difference between Lifetime 6.0 PRO vs non-pro 9.6? Please let me know so I can decide to install this or not.

Thank you

Previous giveaways never stopped working after a year -- I can't say whether that's the case for this one or not. If you have the setup files & key for v. 6, you could always reinstall it *if* v. 9.6 ever did quit. Or another giveaway might become available before then, or soon after. Or you could, maybe should buy a license to the current version if today's GOTD did expire to support AOMEI. It is definitely a worthwhile upgrade IMHO, moving from v. 6 to v. 9.6.

ok, i have 9.3 with a lifetime license. does this remove that and give me only a 1 yr license? or does it give 1 yr if you don't have lifetime and remain lifetime if you have it from a previous giveaway?

Reply   |   Comment by chris  –  2 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-1)

chris, the setup routine will first uninstall the version you have installed. You could always reinstall 9.3 *if* it quit after a year.

Reply   |   Comment by mike  –  2 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-3)

mike, so on other giveaways you lose the lifetime license that was included on older versions was removed. So even installing the older version doesn't get you the lifetime license back. That's what I'm asking.

IMO, the virtue is not making partitions... it is unmaking them... combining to make useful room. My photo drive was almost full... NOT... it was that when I cloned the old small drive the clone duplicated the 512 and so the rest of my 1 Tbite was unused and a separate partition; now combined and I have room.

My edition is the limited free 8.6 so for sure I will get Pro 9.6.

donald pullum, hard disk partitions are like having several drawers in a dresser vs. just having a big, open wooden box you toss your clothes in. Either way will work, but the benefits of having drawers is pretty obvious.

I already own this software and I would recommend anyone who does not have it to get it. While most PCs these days come with two drives - usually a SSD and a regular hard drive, the SSD is usually too small for all the software you will eventually want to install.

I bought it because my original 500GB SSD filled up and AOMEI Part Pro did the job of migrating to ta new larger SSD without any problems. By that I mean no messing around with boot sectors or MS warnings of new hardware please re-register. Documentation is good and interface easy to use. Website has good info.

No, I'm not an employee or whatever - just a satisfied customer.

I see no benefit to make partitions and this, because the current PCs nowadays have two discs, an SSD and a regular HD with a recovery partition.
You can also even hang several external SSDs to the USB ports for storage.

"I see no benefit to make partitions and this, because the current PCs nowadays have two discs, an SSD and a regular HD with a recovery partition."

Not really... most come with one hard disk, that may be eMMC, SSD, or a conventional hard disk. A default Win10/11 install to an empty disk will create 4 partitions.

You can also even hang several external SSDs to the USB ports for storage."

One, SSDs attached via USB are slower. Two, desk space is finite. :)

"i use it to transfer entire OS to new SSDs/HDDs so utility depends on individual cases."

That'll work, but you're probably better off using Macrium Reflect free or paid.
