112 MB
1 year license
$39.95
I'll pass and uninstall given it never registered WITHIN the stated time frame:
Here is Aomei's response on 6:23 Zulu, 5/18/2022:
Giveaway's free registration code, if it is invalid, we can't activate it, we can only wait for the next Giveaway event or buy a lifetime upgrade registration code from us, we can give you a discount. If the registration has not been completed, it will be invalid, which proves that the deadline for registration has passed and cannot be reset for you.
-----------------------------------
However, their OWN readme file in the download states:
License Code:
AMAB-EY5TI-UY907-8TURJ
---------------------------------------------
This license code is valid from May 16 to May 18. Please register as soon as possible within this time.
So I'll pass on software that is so ill-maintained, certainly wouldn't want to trust backups to such. Now Macrium Reflect, free, has served me without failure for a number of years.

Tried to register within time frame using license code in readme. Registration failed. Note: readme says license code valid "This license code is valid from May 16 to May 18. Please register as soon as possible within this time."
Sent support request to Aomei. Told to try off-line registration, but need a machine code which I don't have. Too many hoops, will stick with Macrium Reflect.

It was once again impossible for me to see the email in time on the 16th.. Here's why I could never respond in time:
I have to open and read your email first:
-- I couldn't have read it, since it didn't reach my in-box until last night the 16th at ~8PM, EST. (~2351 GMT).
-- I sleep, and so generally, I don't check email until the next Morning, (on the 17th). It is way less than 24 hours since I received the email.
This is what my email says right now:
-- "Received: May 16, 2022, 7:51 PM (16 hours ago)".
Since this presumably needed to be done ON the 16th, using GMT time, I had EIGHT MINUTES before the end of the day. By using local time, I still only had FOUR hours to see it, and order, (assuming you use my local time to decide when this expires). It was sent to me on the 16th, at 2351 GMT, or 7:51 PM EST local time on the 16th.
IF you determine the expiration of the day using GMT / Universal time, you ONLY give EIGHT MINUTES before the END or the DAY it expires (using GMT time).
I'd suggest somehow, you give us about 24 hours to SEE and RESPOND to emails we receive. That is not occurring now.
-- It is the morning AFTER all my emails from last night came it.
-- I do work in the day time, not at night. SO, I HAVE ONLY HAD THREE hours to see your email and respond.
-- But, it was ALREADY too late using GMT time, as of 8 PM my local time last night anyway.

After the expiry of the software, past 1 year, will I be able to use it for restoring the backups taken while the software was authorized.

I've used this for years and have covered systems with it. It's easy to use and the CLI allows you to create simple scripts to backup system partitions and non-system partitions. I had mixed success getting differentials to schedule, on the down side. I haven't tried the differentials again for two years.

If you purchase the Professional Edition
1 Computer per License, can you remove it from one computer and put it on another if you buy a new computer?

Can we connect a dock (via USB) with an empty SSD in it AND whilst Windows is running, get this program to clone the internal drive into the SSD in the dock ?
After we have done that, we can open our PC, and take out it's internal drive, replacing it with the new SSD.
The computer can now be booted.

Good product, nice giveaway. I got this some years ago and later bought the lifetime license which of course includes all updates. Recommend.

Used the free versions for 10 years. Very good to "reinstall" windows and back up important files.
Bought the pro version finally.

Always found earlier versions of this software to be reliable whenever I've used it to do a restore, and that's the important thing not the speed etc.

AOMEI Backupper Pro is a good image backup app I have installed in my VMs as sort of backup, backup software -- I can use the app's bootable USB stick or use the WinPE version [in the x64 folder] with a WinPE USB stick if I ever have problems with Macrium Reflect. The only reason AOMEI isn't my primary backup software is that 8 years ago the AOMEI USB stick wouldn't boot all our devices, so I standardized on Macrium Reflect, which would. That's more than likely to have been fixed by now, but do test to make sure the USB stick works for you so you know you're not wasting your time.

Mike, Hi, what VM do you use? Thanks.

Great program. Can't understand why they haven't asked for name and email address before (or even after) downloading??!

I have version 6.5 .
1.I don't know if it is a twelve-month or permanent license, but I think I got it from one of the giveaway sites. I don't know how to check whether the license is permanent. If anyone knows then I would appreciate hearing from them.
2. The program I have asks me if I want to upgrade from 6.5 to 6.9. I don't know if that is a free upgrade or not? Any guidance?
3. If I choose to install this GAOT version, do I need to uninstall the version I have?
Thanks

Jobarry, aomei backupper installs a system wide "Backupper Service" service so there will be complications if you try to force two different versions to co-exist on the same windows installation.
I would not advise trying to upgrade a giveaway licensed product unless you can roll-back to earlier version and it's giveaway license.
Ways to check if a license is non-expiring is to wind the system date forward a year or so and try running the program in question.
Then rolling the system date back to current date, of course.

Hello guys,
Does anyone know if this version is any faster than the last Aomei Backupper pro given away a few months ago I believe?
On the very last version given away, I did a [full C-drive partition back up] to my external drive, on my pretty fast
[Acer WIN 10 Laptop i7 Processor, with 16GB RAM], even with nothing else running on my laptop,
The last Aomei backup started at approx 4pm, but did not complete until almost 12AM Midnight, so it took approx 8Hrs total, is this considered fast speed to backup in 2022? I just expecting it to be much faster. Just wondering if anyone else had better speeds? I really would like an full PC image backup, with fastest speeds, so do not have to leave PC on overnight etc.Just wondering if this can do that possibly? Thanks

ren, depends upon the amount of data being backed up, and the connection tech used by the external drive and if the external drive is an SSD or electro-mechanical hard drive.
Image backups should normally be relatively infrequent e.g. when a major change takes place like a feature update in windows or when a large new program is installed with complex licensing arrangements.
Day to day backups should be able to be incremental file based or incremental rooted at the last full image backup.
Also doing a full image backup can be made faster AND more reliable by creating bootable media and creating the image file with the host systems windows offline. Connection method and drive technology will still place restrictions on maximum achievable transfer speed.
Hope that helps.

ren, i backup a system partition that creates an 80gb file on my external drive, taking about 30 minutes to complete.

Marc, Wow, this more of what I thought the speeds should be, or at least in an hour or two. thanks for sharing.

I found it here at GOTD and have been using it for Win 7 Ult 64 bit since 2015. Purchased two copies for both of my machines. It is worth giveing these folks a few dollars as it totally beats the alternatives which are way overpriced. God bless these folks.

I've been using the free version for years and it works. The company has been around a long time. It's makes a 'hot backup' (while the OS is running), so there's no need to reboot to start a backup.
