2 Suggestions:

1. Add a NON-USA Listing Option, for example allow the user to list downloads in I.S.O 8601 for both Date and Time (ISO being International Standards Organisation) United States of America is less than 5% of the world Population

Meaning Date-Month-Day Hour-Minute-Second as is the option for many File Managers

So Feb 11, 2020 at 22 hours 30 minutes 45 seconds would list in the ALL Downloads ADDED Column as 2020-02-11 22-30-45

That would MAKE FiLE SEARCHiNG, MUCH EASiER FOR NON-AMERiCANS (the majority of people on the planet)

2. If the user decides to move or delete files downloaded with ANTDlM when I reboot I currently get a popup window in the middle of the screen asking something like Re-Download all files OR Re-Download the first 100 files (from Memory) it would be very useful to have a 3rd option DO NOT Re-Download any Files AND a CheckBox to NEVER ASK THESE QUESTiONS AGAiN

Otherwise It is a pretty useful program

I have previously ask you about adding some options that were in the now defunct FlashGet and I understand your reasons why you won't add such options but a MASTER DOWNLOAD LOG or Option to allow individual download Logs would still be very useful.

I've installed three times with Firefox browser closed and it does not update to the version given away here; I have 1.7.0 from 2017 installed and v.0.2.7 [0.1.6] inside the current version of Firefox...believe it or not, this was a giveaway version also from here awhile back and it works while unfortunately this new one being given away today does not seem to want to update itself.
Do I have to delete the old one myself and if so, why? Today's newer version should override that one and update it on its' own.
I will await a response while I surf elsewhere at this time...thanks, anyway.

Richy, you should uninstall old version and install new one again.
Apparently you have not removed the old version of Firefox extension.
At the request of Firefox, the policy of installing extensions was changed at the end of last year. An important change has been made in our extension. It works in a new way.

The best versatile downloader, full stop and one that I purchased a while back.

Excellent integration, speed of downloads and range of sites supported.

The devs also offers decent support, with their own forum and there are a number of easy to follow videos that explain how to get the best out of the features.

I suspect that many people will think $24.95 being rather expensive though for what they will see as a one trick pony, especially with many freely available download apps and addons available, so I think that a price reduction would tempt more people.

Great programme, second year using without problems. I now use "Brave " browser and glad to get rid of "Chrome". Ant does give you a choice to download mp3 from the video in case you just want to listen to the audio.

ANT Downloader is a good program, with good speed & accuracy, but have used mostly just used as backup downloader only,
Since, after a few years now, it is still very limited in Modern features and options, Not much extra to really stand out in extra video features,
compared to similar programs like this. Program needs at least a few improvements and enhancement options to make it more worthwhile
& make it stand out from the huge selection of even Free video and audio downloaders out currently.

*It really badly needs a video Downloader (Trimmer or slicer option) for all or at least most websites, like similar programs can already do.
with a video trimmer & Crop feature, so we do not have to download entire lengthy videos, makes downloading so much better,
by only getting the parts of videos desired, and not the entire 1-2 hours of junk that comes with entire web videos most times.
Again, good as a basic downloader only, but hope developer can improve with more modern features.
Just my input after using similar products for several years now. Cheers!

Works like a charm on a Windows 10 pro and a VM Windows 7.
Supports the new Edge (Chromium) on Window 10 (......and Windows 7)

Take care.

When trying to download MP4 files from youtube I get an error about antMPG.dll with an error code ststus WIN127. If I try to load antMPG.DLL independently it fails to load unable to find the FFMPEG DLL's they were installed with the installer option as recommended... are the installed FFMPEG DLL's Win7 only?

Reply   |   Comment by TK  –  3 months ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+4)

TK,
// The specified procedure could not be found.
#define ERROR_PROC_NOT_FOUND 127L

Dll version confusion. Reinstall AntDM. Enable FFMpeg support in installer settings.

Reply   |   Comment by AntDM  –  3 months ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+9)

TK, solved the BUG. The BUG is the developer used the default build of FFMPEG DLL's which are by default only executable on WIndows 7 and above due to their reliance on WIn7 only procedures in Kernel32.DLL.

My solution is to extract the app folder contents from VideoProc 3.0 giveaway some time ago and copy the contents, which includes all the FFMPEG DLL's and dynamicly linked executables into the FFMPEG folder where this places it's windows 7 and above build and it is then able to load the FFMPEG 4.0 DLL's when needed next time. I chose to just copy and paste the entire videoprocs program installation folder as that was quicker than determining only the required DLL files as different FFMPEG build environments require different support DLL's in addition to the default FFMPEG DLL set of files.
NOTE the installer installs a non-vista compatible copy of FFMPEG... just to make that absolutely clear!
To Developer AntDM you can get Vista and possibly earlier compatible build of FFMPEG 4.0 dynamicly linked from the installation folder of the free download on the site https://www.videoproc.com/
You are as at liberty to use that as you have used the build you currently include... if you communicate with that products developers you might be able to persuade them to let you have the GPLv3 source code for their custom build but I doubt it since like you they do not even distribute a copy of GPLv3 license with their product let alone abide by it!

Enjoy!

AntDM, please see my comment https://www.giveawayoftheday.com/ant-download-manager-pro-1-17/#comment-644403 when it passes moderation. FFMPEG support was enabled by default in the installer, it is the wrong build you incorporate it is not Vista compatible due to needing procedures in Kernel32.dll that do not exist in Vista and were only added in Win7 and above.

Reply   |   Comment by David Good  –  3 months ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+2)

David Good, Of course it does not have a valid signature... it has NO signature at all... It is a non-warning warning brought about by Norton being set to warn on unisigned executable use... many smaller developers do not have facilities or funds to digitally sign their software.

Reply   |   Comment by Richard Anderson  –  3 months ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-4)

Richard Anderson, do not know for sure in this case but when this has happened to me in the past it is because I did not temporarily suspend my antivirus/security protections before running the activation program.

Reply   |   Comment by Scott  –  3 months ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+5)

@Richard Anderson: Same problem here. I see a GOTD pop-up saying the program is activated and a GOTD web page opens saying "Ant Download Manager Pro 1.17.1 activated — what next?" but that's it . I'm not prompted to make any choices during setup and there are no Ant folders in Program Files (x86 or 64bit). My results are the same whether or not Avast is disabled. I don't see anything new in the virus chest and don't get any warnings from Avast.

Although I like AntDM. Downloading video from most sites results in AntDM converting the video file after download. This converted version of the file is choppy and jerky and annoying. I've seen this across all versions of AntDM. Why does the video need to be converted after?

please reinstall and enable ffmpeg support. ffmpeg is very important settings for video downloading.

Reply   |   Comment by AntDM  –  3 months ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+1)

Steve, Hi,
I checked my"installation made with a previously giveaway:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Ant Download Manager\x32.sys file with
C:\Program Files (x86)\Ant Download Manager\x32.sys\FFMpeg file which content is:
avcodec-58.dll
avfilter-7.dll
avformat-58.dll
avutil-56.dll
postproc-55.dll
swresample-3.dll
swscale-5.dll

ffmpeg.exe is in another folder (= dossier) not related to Ant. I have 5 copies of ffmpeg.exe (315 kB to 33.8 MB!).

The easiest way for you may probably be to uninstall and than real the whole package...

Reply   |   Comment by PaulF  –  3 months ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+6)

PaulF, Thanks, very helpful unlike the other reply that obviously didn't read this part "as I already have it installed". I did reinstall with FFMPEG selected but your answer would have solved my issue too. Maybe get a job at AntDM on product support.

Thanks again for your very helpful reply.

Reply   |   Comment by Steven  –  3 months ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (0)

AntDM, ffmpeg is not at all important for video downloading.

Reply   |   Comment by Steven  –  3 months ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-1)

Steven, in youtube video downloading FFMPEG IS essential to getting a complete video since it is needed to merge the video ONLY MP4 file with the Audio only M4A file.

Reply   |   Comment by TK  –  3 months ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+3)

TK, As I said FFMPEG is not needed to download video, you are talking about combining an audio and video file. I have firefox extensions that download youtube videos without the need for FFMPEG.

Same problem as Debra Williams, it says it activated and opens another browser page but there's no new program installed. I unzipped all the files to their own folder, ran set as administrator but it does not install. Windows 8, I went to the developers web page listed and downloaded that version and it did install but it's a 30 day version and needs a registration key. Something wrong with the download/setup here on this one. It happens sometimes, this is the third time recently I've had this happen on this site, too bad looked like a useful program. At least I have the 30 day version for now.

john,
Wrong!

You need to follow the instructions to install it correctly on other browsers but I managed a perfectly good download using Opera Version 66.0.3515.44 without issue.

I then updated to version 66.0.3515.72 and repeated the task without issue.

You need to locate the file as shown, and dump it (Copy/Paste) into Opera Exrtensions and then your problem wil be solved.

I hope that helps
