AntDM were basically download accelerator (much like IDM) with additional stuff like torrenting and built-in converters after download, so in terms speed AntDM technically more speedy. But Allavsoft have basic media editing like file converters, merge, and gives more in websites support than AntDM, in additions support of some streaming devices, even sometimes revert back by using youtube as sources (directly or using bundled youtube-dl).

casedistorted, I prefer to use Allavsoft. It is easy to use and supports many video and music websites and can download the media files to MP4, MOV, AVI, WMV, MKV, MP3, WMA, M4A, FLAC, WAV etc format.

Joseph , Hard to tell. I have MBAM Premium as well, but I got no such thing. I even checked the exe at VirusTotal, and none of the av motors flagged the file negative.

If it is reported as Malware. Please contact your anti virus software to let them manually test our product.

It is a false positive.
Everytime we update our Allavsoft, it will be reported by some of the
anti virus software. After some time, when it is not newly updated, the report will automatically disappear.

Joseph , I do not have Malwarebytes but do have 2 PCs & a Mac (each with an antivirus program by a different company.) I did a virus scan on both setup files on the three computers & no issues were reported.

I am NOT saying there is not something hidden away but tried several internet searches prior to downloading this app with the only page listing an issue with VDProxy.dll was this page.

Yes, peer 2 peer opens several cans of worms: in itself a red flag with many ISPs, so a good idea to also employ a good VPN if venturing down that route; various security issues. For torrents, I much prefer a couple of the intermediary services, which fetch and store such content for you -- no direct, real-time connection with your computer, retrieve it from the intermediary at your convenience. (Offcloud being one, and seems to be pretty good, currently sampling Linksnappy. These are also offer some multi-hoster content access, though results with that can vary quite a bit. And some filehosts are blocked in certain countries.)
