Appears to be meritorious software. Unfortunately, it seems only 8 templates come preloaded, and they look like they came through a time warp. They look dated and bear copyright dates of 2013. Hopefully, the hundred templates referred to above are available for free download from the developer's website and that this is not another Website X5.

There is a lot of samples on their site https://www.quickandeasywebbuilder.com/index.html
pretty good example.

Sorry, could not get it to install. Clicked on Setup.exe and it did nothing.

Forgot to mention this in my original post....it does not tie you to any one piece of software or provider. You are able to work off line, you are not required to have an account and you are not required to sign on on line or required to work on line.
The tutorials are also very good and, if you take the time, work your way through the extensions and you will find a wealth of useful information and guides. And go to the forums - also very useful.

This is one of the most useful web building software I have come across in a long time. The templates and extensions are nicely presented but read the requirements before you use them!!
Definitely software worth a try!

Positives:
+ Very easy to use and fast site designer,
+ The GUI is based on wxWidgets, it's not a bloated Electron app.
+ It doesn't phone home (apart from the activation) and it has Linux support.
+ The produced code output is clean, readable and well formatted, so it's friendly for those who want to fine tune or edit the final result by hand.
Neutral:
* All elements are placed with "position:absolute" property, so they will look exactly like you want it to look. You can have different designs for different resolutions (using the media elements), but they are fixed. There is no responsive design in the sense of continuous scaling based on percentage and relative positions.
Negatives:
- !!!ATTENTION!!! If flat file is used for database, make sure you read the docs and don't skip any steps about file permissions! Not in the docs, but the proper way to store a flat file database is to store it in a directory accessible by php, but not accessible ny the web server (definitely outside the usual public_html directory).
- !!!ATTENTION!!! If MySQL is used for database, all the forms are vulnerable to SQL injection. This is also true for the 8.0 version. Complain to the developer to fix it!
- The password hashing algorithm is md5. (Version 8.0 has an option to set bcrypt, but the license key is not valid for that.)
- Can't set proxy server for FTP/SFTP.

Anonymous, thanks for it. to me it sounds like scary. i mean your negative points outweigh the positivies....

Note that the software also supports flexible/ responsive layouts with layout grids, flexbox and css grid! Most of the recent templates do demonstrate this functionality. The software is not vulnerable to SQL injection.

TK, there are no known problems with the installer. But if you think something is wrong then please contact me directly via the contact form on the website.
The comments about not being responsive are not correct. I think the software supports more responsive design tools than any other web design editor: fixed/absolute layouts with breakpoints, flexible layout grids (like Bootstrap), flex box and css grids (= flexgrid).

Is this usable as a stand-alone site builder independent of specific hosting ISPs or is it tied to the use of specific hosting ISPs? I see Wix named in the illustration. Can this be used with hosting ISPs such as godaddy, ipage, hostgator, etc. Thank you.

captainfepa,
It's independent: https://www.quickandeasywebbuilder.com/publish.html

As to this program. Not bad. It has got many functions. Last feature "drag and drop" is very nice. A program has got commercial feature in such way. But competitors....
But it is only my own point of view. The taste are differ.

Kind regards to both.

Didn't expect much but downloaded due to the high ratings. This is actually a very full-featured program with significant capabilities and a straightforward user interface. Also a 288-page PDF manual.
Having built a lot of sites in the past, using tools like Drupal and WordPress (and plain text+PHP), I'm actually looking forward to the next one I need to build so I can put this tool to a non-trivial real-world test.

Ray, where is the PDF manual?

I am still using Frontpage for a couple of websites.
Is there some way to import a Frontpage site into the program and start editing?
Or do you have to start from scratch?
:-)

Michael, no. You can't import a Frontpage project.
You can place an existing HTML code:
- in a box;
- start of the page;
- between head tags;
- inside/before/after body tag;
- end of page;
- inside html tag
That's it. You can't drag and drop items into that existing HTML.
