Got this years ago as a GOTD, enjoyed it so much that when I got a new computer a few years ago this was on my short list to purchase and I'm not disappointed. I only download from a few sites, one being YouTube, and have yet to have problems. Sure, there's a bit of a learning to do, but it's worth it.

Thanks for the giveaway! My JDownloader recently stopped working and a reinstall only partially restored it so your timing is great!

I tested it in the way I test all downloader software that isn't a browser extension and gave it a twitter video. The Muskrat keeps changing the algorithms there and JDownloader would ask me to log in half the time (other half worked) but this seemed to be fine.

Thanks but I don't like Allavsoft - the reason is when you try to download mp3 from yt, it first download mp4 (video) and then convert it to mp3. Why is that, I don't need mp4. -.-
I will continue to use offmp3 dot com.

What number of sites are you visiting? Apparently only a few favorite sites. If Free Jdownloader fails I have never had Allavsoft succeed(I always download these types of software in the hope that one will ). So I for one would regret paying for anything that could be free to do an equivalent if not better job with steady updates. (Needed with this kind of software)because some websites are always adjusting to stop downloads.

I use to download movies 'Frostwire'. The advantage or (disadvantage) is that you can see if there are many or few 'seeders'. If there are (too) few 'seeders', you should not start! It will take quite a long time before the movie is received from you!

Still the best downloader/converter out there - due to its consistency, quality, and ease of use. UI needs a desperate modernization overhaul (at least a dark theme)... though that seems to be a consistent trend with the greatest apps in each area - they all run under ancient UIs, which is something that always baffled me.
