I cannot recall my Windows 10 or 11 password on a PC. I do have another PC I can use. Would this be able to extract my password I cannot recall if I attach that drive as an external drive to my usable PC while using this software on the usable PC?
Thanks.

lman, no, not a chance. It should be possible to remove a previous password but doing so will destroy any data in windows protected storage.

lman, No it cannot, nothing can without terabytes of rainbow hash files to dictionary attack stored hash data.
If you have not created a password recovery diskette or whatever windows 10 offers, then the only remaining option is a Windows password RESET/REMOVE utility that literally wipes the stored password and lets you log in without a password BUT if you do that you will lose all access to data stored in windows credential storage area, like dial-up passwords, remote desktop stored credentials and any saved data used by programs that rely upon the encrypted data store.

Will this create a list of product keys and passwords etc,. without changing anything on my PC.

rww, the only changes are those made when you install Advanced Password Recovery Suite. Apps like this look in the registry for stored keys etc., and they do get *some* results - just not everything... keys can be hidden, meaning not associated whatsoever with the software they belong to, and/or they can be run through an algorithm or formula so that the characters recorded are very different from the actual key. And of course some keys are stored in files that may be encrypted rather than in the registry.

mike,
Thank you. I understood that. I was just not sure what recover meant as I just wanted to be able to retrieve the information and save it in case I ever needed it.

Installation was easy. Except, the program does not work for me (Win 7 Pro)!
There are six categories that can be examined and the program stops on #5 - Mail. I have tried it several times & each time it stalls there and I have to cancel manually from Task Manager.
Also, there is only a single option to run the program: Quick Recovery. That is NOT what I wanted; I wanted thorough recovery!
