My download installed as per directions without a hitch on a Windows 10 computer. The interface (GUI) is quite clear and useable. I like the library and the CD DISK icon (file indication with image) used for recording. The 3 files that I created were from streaming content. Thumbs up in my books!

Thought this would be a good program to try. I have keyed in the 4 digit code and still get an error message. Program has been uninstalled. I wont be downloading anything from this organisation again unless they simplify the registration.

I've never encountered such a ridiculous registration procedure. It has far too many steps, they are very poorly explained, there is a stupid and pointless 60-second time limit in which to enter the code (and lack of clarity about what is the code and what is the password), and it's altogether an effing waste of time, effort and brainpower to try to figure out with all the constraints. I gave up.

Tried for an hour followed everything but never got a verification code. I am giving up very frustrated and angry wasting all this time.

Tried several times, with 2 different email addresses, verification codes received (3 times) but never the activation code... failure each time... I'm giving up....
Why make it simple when you can make it complicated....!

This Publisher Acethinker Software only gives GOTD's for 1 YEAR for all their promo products
After one year either buy it or uninstall coz reverts to trial.....its been like this since

Other thing is if it is worth to dl and install it and from my experience I could say yes...
they develope flawless softs generally speaking.
Registration is a mess I know but take some time to read the procedure in the .txt file and done.
Developers wanna know how, when, who and where from users install and use their products for marketing,
statistics and strategic planning
Dont expect they woud simply give a registration key out for everyone for free without control,
some interaction and effort from the end user is required in order to get it for free.

I tried to follow the instruction in the guide and the video, but my "user account" button only brings up a pop-up that says I am not a vip with no option to sign up or anything. I don't have any option of registering using the user account button or any where else that I can find.

As suggested on this thread, I wrote support 5 hours ago and have heard nothing back.

Installed and registered for one year but with "great difficulty"! Will look at it's functions to see if it is a keeper.

Apparently the publisher needs to rethink it's registration process. I have not tried it but reading the comments leads one to believe the current procedure is not working. There is a readme file included with every offer. May I suggest you include the required information in this readme file? That would eliminate a lot of confusion and frustration.

A bit fiddly registering it but that's because I already had an account which I didn't realise. Otherwise a keeper for me. Thanks very much.

It isn't just a convoluted procedure to get a registration code. It's a FAILED procedure. I got the registration code at the site as directed. The software installed perfectly but then refused the code. I copied and pasted from the site. Again, wrong code.

Never again. Acethinker wasted 15 minutes of my time but it will not waste any more. Worthless.

I tried before to activate this and at that time when I went to use it said wasn't registered. So tried again today and followed instructions and for the life of me can't find the get registration code anywhere. So I give up!!

How or from where do you get the activation code????

I knew that sooner or latter You will be back with new version.Last time I wrote a positive review about this software(August 23.2017.),but the second part of my comment,where I asked why are You lying about statement "You could still use the software after a year but the free update is available for only one year. Please send us email if you have any problem in using it, thanks." disappear.If anyone have that older version,please check how usable is this software after 1 year.The limitations are so severe that uninstalling is best option.Btw how many free upgrades were available during 1 year of VIP status? Zero! Still this is good program,but I will never buy it,because of your lies.

In the read-me txt file is a link: "https://acethinker.com/giveaway". Follow this link and the first item on the page will be Music Recorder. Click the green "Get Giveaway Version" button and a static window will pop up with additional information and the all-important registration code.

The instructions, which they have given, are unclear for one thing.

"2. Enter your email and password to proceed sign-up step. Then you'll receive a verification code via email immediately. Please note that this is to verify your account and not the registration keycode." .

It took me a while to figure it out, but when you enter an email and a password and press "Get," you have only one minute to complete this step. At first, I wondered what the heck was "Get?" And where and what was I supposed to "get" with a clock counter ticking down?

Well, Dudes, guess what? My email doesn't work that fast. So your precious verification codes comes up invalid as the system times out.

It gets worse.

"4. Now click into your account again, click “Active” on the pop-up window (or click the user’s icon on top-right menu) enter your registration keycode directly into the field. "

This is yet another demonstration of how they have not thought this through. While it is obvious to whomever wrote this, it is not so obvious to a customer, whom is seeing this for the first time without any foreknowledge. Thus one is supposed to enter a registration keycode, but no where is it stated, where that code is to be found. However, one is told that it is not the same as their "Get" verification codes.

AceThinker? More like CoderThinker. Coders generally have a bad reputation for being able to express themselves clearly to the non-coding public. This appears to be the case here. It is work -- hard work -- to make things simple and to flow well. I fear that the software will be as cumbersome as their downloading, installation, and activation instructions. But I'll never know, since I will never use this software.

In short, these types of unnecessary shenanigans applied to what should be a simple and user friendly download and registration process put me off.

Since I am still searching for a good replacement for my now discontinued Polderbits (RIP Rudy Kok), which btw, I am willing to pay for, foretell of more problems down the road when the year is up, and I want to keep the software.

It it a bit of work to get it activated, just takes a bit of figuring out but its well worth it! Good software....

Is there another way to get the registration code? My problem is I register my email address and password, then reenter that information when prompted to get the registration code, but the page with the registration code blinks by so fast I can not copy it, it blinks by the code right to the box where it tells me to enter the code I could not see in order unlock the sofware. No matter how many times I try it does the same thing.

Went through the whole process and then entered https://acethinker.com/giveaway at the input activation code screen and I get the message invalid activation code.

Could not register. Keep getting message that says "Invalid verification code" every time I enter the numbers that were sent to me via email. Too much trouble to jump through a registration process that won't follow its own rules. :-(

Stuck on waiting for the registration code. Been waiting an hour no code.

Step 5 of the registration process given by Ace Thinker in the URL link; clearly states that the licence is {Yearly}. You can use it for 1 year.

Registration process IS very convoluted, but persistence did pay off. Was able to search for a song and listen.

Can it record in WAV or FLAC lossless?

Is this a 1 year license only as shown on the acethinker.com/giveaway page?

This looks exactly like Apowersoft's Streaming Audio Recorder, which became a trial version after one year.

Does the same happen to this ?
