Re: #13-Keter
Todays offering is "1AV Center" NOT "1AV Capture" though.
Now, does anyone know the differences between this version & #2.1.1.11 that was peviously offered here on GAoTD?
Thank U.

It seemed to do the setup and register but when I tried to start the program all I got were the grey warning boxes about registries and that I should try to install again. This is what happened last time.
I run XP pro sp3. Any help? I tried to email the company but got no answer.

As stated by #4, I reinstalled it again and got its full functionality back. Thanks #4 and thanks to GATD for making it be available again!

I downloaded and read the instructions "carefully" as requested. It said to "activate" which I did, but I still show Evaluation Copy. I did not receive a registration code. Now what?

Same complaint at #13. I had a previous version and this one overwrote the previous one and now I don't have near the amount of options I had before...nor do I have the ability to do video and audio. THIS IS TERRIBLE. DO NOT DOWNLOAD!

On XP home, SP3, all looks well until the end-of-install launch.
Then, I see (I added the "")
"ReadRegistryEntriesEmailList"
"ReadRegistryEntriesWebAuth"
"ReadRegistryEntriesCurLang"
"ReadRegistryEntriesGeneral"
"ReadRegistryEntriesVideoProfile"
"ReadRegistryEntriesProfileByIndex"
"ReadRegistryEntriesVideoWindow"
"ReadRegistryEntriesWebCustom"
"ReadRegistryEntriesWebCustom"
"ReadRegistryEntriesWebCustom" Then I see
"Error loading INI files Reinstall to solve this problem.
Make sure to select a folder for storage where 1AVCenter will
be given rights to save files to the disk."
Several re-runs of Setup.exe gave the same result. Useless.
Sad; previous versions, now gone, worked well and were useful.

Oh dear, I seem to have taken a step backwards. Instead of the six or seven profiles I used to have in this program, I now only have two, and neither will include audio. 1AV Capture, which I had installed previously now won't connect to my microphone, either. My advice to those who had a previously installed version of this product that was working OK for them...don't install this, the slight upgrade probably isn't worth the time you may spend restoring functions.

I had previous version, something like 2.1.1.1.1.1!
This version was installed on top of the previous one, but has all, but the first option, grayed out. So this one is useless and lost previous one. Thank you GAOTD.

If you have the 2.1.1.11 GOTD free version installed if you install this new Free GOTD version 2.2.7.20 you won't have all the features that are offered on the earlier version. This is a much smaller install file, check before you uninstall the old version as you won't be able to reinstall the older version once you uninstall it.

#7: "would this be able to replace media center on xp for the use of watching tv through the computer….?"
Check out the various home theater apps like GBPVR at videohelp.com. You don't say what tuner you have, so check the sites & docs for the various alternatives to see what works with what you've got. If you don't want/need the full media center interface (designed for a TV), the VLC player might do what you need, letting you simply watch TV.

I installed the version #2.1.1.11 on my Win 7 x64 laptop and it worked -- and still works -- perfectly. No idea why others are complaining. Thanks for this fine free software giveaway!

This would be a great program if it weren't for the confusing interface and confusing instructions. For example, I wanted to try the desktop surveillance feature and referred to the instructions which refer to a "Profile Selector". I can't find anything called "Profile Selector" in the current interface, nor can I find anything that looks like the image shown in the instructions for the Profile Selector. I finally figured it out on my own but the instructions did not help. Also there are many typographical errors, e.g. "bellow" instead of "below" and "dettach" instead of "detach".

As an update to my previous post [#2], the app hadn't installed fully for some reason.
As an afterthought, I installed again, and full functionality has returned!
Weird...

The 2010 giveaway was version: 2.2.7.21.
The 2011 giveaway is version: 2.2.7.31.
On both instances, no problems with registration (however, I could only keep one of the installations on my pc).

Having had all the hassle of losing the previous version in the failed registration of this new version, I'm not impressed.
Much less functionality than the previous giveaway.
I wish I hadn't bothered.
