I'm just very curious how this compares to the free OBS Studio that is open source. It is a very popular platform among streamers and does the same thing that this commercial program does. It's very stable I might add and its always being updated.

You are absolutely right. OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) has come far to be known now and beating XSplit for a couple of years. Even got to a point that companies were stealing/using code, to benefit themselves, but shooting in their foot. Not only that, all updates are free to use.
Programs offered at GOTD though, is good for them and getting attention. That is also a win-win for us to try and having more options to use.
I rather also keep that $29.95 in my pocket, or donate that to OBS, when I can. The same thing I do with games that are 'free' to play ;-)
