I tried to download the file 3 times at different time but the download speed is only 500 Bytes or 0.5 KBps and the days remaining is 120 days or so. I am from India and there is some problem with the server.

many of the Wood backgrounds are duplicate wood images with just a different colour filter or filter style applied to it, which is dissappointing.

Thank you for the lifetime commercial license! Either of those is rare, so both at once is appreciated.
Very nice looking images too.

Eldamar always has quality products and when they are free, it's even better.
This bundle is huge but well worth the storage you offer it.
These background are useful to use as backdrops as well as texture for parts of the overall creation you make.
I have made a few creations like mandalas, stained glass and other geometric designs using parts of backgrounds like these.
Thank you GOTD and Eldamar

Nice backgrounds.
However, I'd like to see some hi-res backgrounds/textures capable of seamless tiling (vertically and/or horizontally) that don't appear to be too regularly "tiled" by virtue of a large size and complexity. Those could be used to create backgrounds of any size.

So all I download is a zipped txt file. 513 bytes. Has anyone successfully downloaded the main content?

Never mind. Maybe I should learn to read... Instructions are in the tiny .txt file...

JR, try to read above:

While this is a nice collection, I choose not to get it. As an artist working with digital art programs, I like making my own unique backgrounds and backdrops, which I then use in my scenes. Using many of my programs, I even make my own textures. My favorite ones can do a lot of what I looked at in this package; not exact replicas, but quite similar in design aspects.
That said, having more than 1,000 hi resolution backgrounds to choose from, for those that do not have the resources to make their own, or those who want something they can use quickly, this is a very good collection; having a lot of variety. I'm sure that many will find this collection quite useful!
Cheers!

L. Cleveland Major, ..Re : Making your own backgrounds ...Did you happen to get "Abstract Curves X64"...., I'm still trying to figure it out, but it creates some nice effects.

Brian Smith, Yes I did, and like you, I'm still trying to figure it out also. Yes it does make some nice effects.
What with all the different programs I now have for this type of thing, there's plenty of things I can already do, and if I combine the effects from different programs, I get some rather interesting backgrounds.

Thanks. I especially like the wood and rain backgrounds.

It is a large download for users that pay for data. I would suggest taking a look at their website first as many are very basic and not worth the data unless you see something you really need. You can find individual backgrounds for free on many sites.

spike, I know you can pay for other options on their site - BUT THESE ARE FREE - so why not enjoy them?

Thomas Roberts, He is referring to data costs levied by someone's ISP. For most people nowadays, this is not an issue, since most either use high GB monthly packages or unlimited in order to watch streaming video, etc. This set of files is minuscule compared to watching HD videos on your PC. And most people interested in this kind of graphics files are probably using a high bandwidth ISP, and welcome a source with all these files in one location; we're not talking about a casual user that wants to put a rock background behind a selfie.

Can these pics be used commercially without paying license fees, etc.?
Save | Cancel
M. H.,
That is what it says in the description above on the upper right ---->

M. H., read carefully:
„Licence details:
Lifetime, commercial usage”

Susan, proton, commercial usage doesn't exclude the option to charge royalty/usage fees, etc.
Save | Cancel
M. H.,
If they wanted a fee, they would have specified a fee for commercial use or they would not have stated "commercial usage."
What do you think "commercial usage" means if it cannot be used commercially?

Jay, mine was 2.75GBytes or 2,956,589,998 bytes did yours stop downloading prematurely?

The quality of the images is quite good, but it is a huge 2.8GB download
Save | Cancel
Yes, Shaji John,
it actually tells you that it is 2.8 Gb under system requirements.
Save | Cancel
Terry I, I for one would not go through 2.8 gigs trying to find something I would use. Easier to " google " what you are looking for. Only takes a couple of minutes to find and usually it is free download.

Ray, Just because you found an image (or texture) on someone else's website, doesn't mean you can use it on your own. There are licences, which you have to abide to.
Save | Cancel
Ray, I agree. Using Google, Bing & Yahoo, I've always managed to find what I'm looking for -- including high-quality images. Filters narrow searches that are time-saving. Plus there are other free image sites.
