I actually got this from Bits DuJour a couple of weeks ago (But they were NOT free: $39.00 and still worth it to me.)
There are THREE, LARGE zip-files to download. Two have well over 2,000 files and the third over 5,000 files. All downloads tended to stall around the 99% mark, but if you restart the downloads they should continue on from where it stalled and take just a few more moments to complete. (at least they did for me..using Firefox).
To use: Open an image, then open one of these as a new layer, on top of that image. Adjust the size of the overlay to fit your image: Make the Blending Mode "Screen" (or you can use others). You can also change the opacity and hue to fine-tune it to your liking. It works in PS Elements, so it should work with just about ANY half-decent image editing apps. Enjoy.

Steve K,
Note...What I bought was 10,000 overlays not the 1,000 offered here, for free.... $39.00 was very much less than the regular asking price!

I continue to get "404 error" when attempting to download.
Is there any solution for this?
This is one of the best giveaways of the year. I will hate to miss is.
Please help.

5-STAR OFFERING
OK, today's GOTD is somewhat atypical in that it provides excellent 'content' instead of application software. However, it is a great gift providing first-class, high-quality image overlays for photographers, digital artists, and other cyber designers. This sort of material costs a bundle from 'content' vendors.
The download is huge at over 2 GB. So, depending on your Internet speed, expect to wait a little. And hopefully, you have external storage to park this big batch of content.
Thank you Eldamar Studio!
And GOTD Staff, congratulations on another excellent offering. You all on a hot streak this year. Please keep up the good work. As a long-time GOTD fan, I am impressed.

For those considering downloading this big ZIP file, there is not the usual "installation" -- apparently there is no activation/registration license or key code. I would think you could simply save it on a non-system disk until a later time for use when you have the appropriate software installed.
It is a big ZIP file containing a collection of files that you manually move or copy to a place (folder) according to the needs of the image editor software of your choice for applying the effects.
This link of theirs may help you decide (it was found within the downloaded ZIP file):
"How to use Photo Overlays, Lightroom Presets or Photoshop Actions
This tutorial will show you how to use overlays, Photoshop Actions and Lightroom Presets to make photos beautiful (without needing any photography expertise)."

These overlays should work with any paint program that allows layers. Terminology is going to be different in the various programs so I'm using Corel language.
I opened a photo of a family group posing in the yard. I drag and dropped one of the sunlight overlays onto the photo. Using the transparency control I adjusted the appearance. I also sized/rotated and otherwise positioned the overlay. Then I used a transparency brush to clear some of the human features a bit. I merged the images and opened my image controls. I adjusted brightness and contrast as well as bosting the highlights.
Then I dragged in one of the vintage film overlays and did the same sort of tweaking. The resulting image is that of an old slide of a family group photographed with Ektachrome slide film in the 1950s.
