I have installed it onto 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows...

After I restarted the 64-bit version, Social Pro appeared to be attempting to launch...but couldn't fully. And, was interfering with the Windows GUI. To uninstall Social Pro, I had to boot to Safe mode...now, things are back to normal.

Running Windows Vista Home Premium

Like the others I too was a little dissapointed with the program overall. I think the concept is a good idea but security is a huge issue.

one good point I liked about the todays download is the fact Grandsoft in the registration email not only gave you a key but a direct download to the program. I tried the key in their program downloaded from their website and it worked, However being I am not a big Social nut and really have no need for the program I unistalled it and noticed on the uninstall it said it could not uninstall everything but the rest could be uninstalled manually. I found it funny that the start menu Folder was unistalled and appeared to have uninstalled the application However when I check the programs file folder the Grandsoft folder was still there and inside was the Social pro EXE file and two other DLL files with a left over folder with a Pack file in it. I thought I would click the application Exe file (social pro2.exe) just to see what would happen? The social pro App started right up with no seeming errors what so ever. did the application uninstall at all or just seem like it did????

I did manually delete all the files.

Just FYI

Thanks GOTD and Grandsoft for todays download.

@19 Sorry but you're wrong. Seesmic allows for as many accounts as you want, no matter if they are all on the same service, or different ones. I created a second twitter account just to test it, opened up Seesmic Desktop, keyed in my info, and it added it just as easily as adding the first one. I can also view the feeds side by side.

If you don't believe me, I took a screenshot :D
I also learned while doing that, that the Seesmic desktop background colour is customizable, and each of those feeds can be dragged around to your liking :)

This is a great giveaway but i also have real player + that does a better job with more addons and the free version does a wonderful job too ....I have tried this version from previous GOTD offers and (Sorry GOTD ) but i was not happy with Social Pro . I have to go thru a lot of password changes to make it work ....In my opinion There are a lot of free programs that does the same job .....
Thank you GOTD but i will pass this round .....
What i do need is a great screen recorder .....

Well... For me such kind of "jukebox" is a bad idea. First - I'm far away from entering all my passwords / accesses into one tool which can (no offence, devs - it can indeed) report it anywhere. Second - tool which is doing everything is doing nothing good. So let's keep bunch of simple apps instead of creating some kind of "portfolio GUI" for them.
Even not tried to download / install it. From my POV - app like this is developer's wasted time - nothing more, nothing less...
No offence at all...

It is a bit too dangerous to put all your social networking in one basket. I completely agree with the first comment. It is very dangerous as once a hacker gets it, all your social networking places may also be hacked. The security issue is too important in this case. I will not download this giveawayoftheday.

As I have helped people with solving their spywares and malwares issues and sometimes their hacking problems, I know only too well how easy it is for a hacker to hack computers nowadays on separate social networks, imagine a single place hacked at once, and you get the picture! Your computer/laptop will get infected in no time at all!
Thanks anyway...

BE CAREFUL with this kind of softwares.

Who knows... They might be spying on your passwords, personal details, etc. and saving them for future use - something they wouldn't disclose, of course.

Your email is the most important one. That's like your main gateway to all your accounts.

Don't enter the details of your email to any third-party applications, unless, of course, if those applications are officially owned by Google, Yahoo, Hotmail, just to name a few...

Just saying!

Well, I totally agree with Shawn (# 1): this is a nice application BUT if we can't update it frequently it becomes pretty USELESS in a very short time (I guess less than one month), unless we buy the license of course!!

It's a shame that developers of tools like this one actually use this marveloous website just for launching and advertising their products, regardless of their real and effective usage and usefulness.

Products like this one, requiring continous UPDATES to work properly, should not be released here, because the main purpose of this site is or better yet should be to test and then assess new software as long as they work for at least 1 year and not just for only a couple of weeks like in this case....LOL!

That being said...

The BEST FREE APP to manage social media services I'm aware of is definitely SEESMIC, a stunning multicross OS platform and mobile device social network manager, which makes keeping tabs on your favorite social media services a breeze:

h t t p s : // seesmic. c o m /

As you can see from the above link, this tool supports a core of social networking sites like FACEBOOK, TWITTER and LinkedIn, but the DESKTOP version can even expand that support to over 50 services by adding the following (FREE) Plugins:

http://marketplace.seesmic.com/

ALL of this for FREE, oh yeah: simply amazing, isn't it dudes??

Another nice FREE social network manager tool is also DIGSBY, which is not only a multiprotocol IM client to chat with all your friends on AIM, MSN, Yahoo, ICQ, Google Talk, but also a cool social network tool allowing you to send your own status updates on popular social networks like Twitter, Facebook, MySpace and LinkedIn!!!

TWEET DECK is another FREE awesome social media dashboard application worthy to be mentioned, as it enables users to keep in touch with their contacts across Twitter, Facebook, MySpace etc... through a single dashboard.

It supports Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, MySpace, Google Buzz, and can even perform schedules updates.

h t t p: //w w w. tweetdeck. c o m/

Finally, to centralize your social activity (sending out links, uploading/downloading videos, share photos etc...) and update your status on sites like Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Google Buzz from one unified dashboard location, just join this a FREE stunning online service called HOMEPUZZZ.

Hope this helps!!

Enjoy & Prosper (for FREE of course...LOL!!)

Before the NDAA and pipa/sopa/acta/dmca/e-parasite/patriot act/dhs

I used to publish many articles. The problem I had is I had to post it on Two Drupal's, Myspace, and Youtube (actually there was also geocities, yahoo, and freewebs, and a ton of other places.)

For six years I did it manually. I've ran a lot of different php scripts over the years so drupal isn't the only possibility here, it's just the CMS I ended up with after all these years. Could have just as easily been Wordpress.

In 2011 I started to see the beginnings of some software that allowed you do do this with some sites, but there never was a "one app to rule them all" solution.

I'm not testing this today, as I've closed all my "social media" accounts. I would vote you up, because people (who are still going to risk publishing in the face of all these new unconstitutional laws) need something like this for productivity, god knows I sure could have used it. Posting manually for years does wear you down.

I took to writing my own scripts to help me with it, but as you know, websites like myspace, google, youtube change the code in their pages and break your scripts.

Thumbs up. It's the right Idea for those still willing to publish online with all these new draconian laws.

Today is only a fair example of how comments can indicate that the software is 'good'. Unfortunately, because this particular software is out of the ordinary genre of sw that GAOTD provides. I'm not sure that everyone here understands this kind of software, so a large number of the votes today indicate that they are not interested.

@ #3 - I personally hate opening my browser. i get cookies, trash data and whatever after opening it - i am running ccleaner every single time i closed my browser just to keep my best performance. software like that is appreciated for those who hate using a browser.

i didnt test this software, since i absolutely hate anything like facebook, twitter and the whole lot.

the reason why i comment is that i am looking for software for instant messengers that aren't bloated.

I tried seesmic and rockmelt but NONE allow multiple facebook, linkedin and twitter accounts.....
Also tried social again and could NOT get it to register - no error message no confirmation, just sat there.....
Nimble did allow multiple gmail accounts.....

>All it is, is a limited web browser that ONLY goes to 5 websites.
That's what I also thought at first. Just before I was about the uninstall the software, it pops up a message saying my friend sent me a message in fb. Maybe that's what this software only does, but quite nice actually, no more tab switching to check. I'll keep it a little longer...

It's Nice Software But There's Many Softwares Can Do That + More For Free :) Why People Pay For Software Like That When There's Many For Free? Example: Tweetdeck, Yoono ,Etc....

My opinion Is To Give This Software + Updates Always For Free With Small Advertising Rotation Links Is Better For You ...

Thank You

I'm really disappointed by this one.

- By default the window is set to "Always on top", this annoyed me until I found the option to turn it off

- There are no confirmations for anything. Usually when (for example) you enter a registration key, you hit a button and then it tells you if it registered or not. This one just gives you a green check that says your key is OK, but you don't know that's what it's telling you, because it could also mean that whatever you entered fills the entire space. You don't find out it actually registered until you open the "about" page.

- It would be nice for you to NOT disable the built-in maximizing functionality of windows. Honestly if it cannot be maximized, I might as well use my web browser, because that's all this program is anyway. A web browser with bookmarklets at the top with the service logos. I like to use my entire screen (quite a large screen) and be able to see as much as possible, not one limited by the interface size just because it was DESIGNED that way.

Honestly I don't understand the point of this program. All it is, is a limited web browser that ONLY goes to 5 websites.

Also: Question for the developer: Why would I want to use the mobile version of a social website while on a Windows PC?

My preferred free alternative: Seesmic
Seesmic supports many different social accounts and is on multiple devices, as well as having a web-based version.

#13 - lots of people need software like this. Nimble.com looks like they are going to make a lot of money with software like this - and they charge businesses $15 per month per user! More security features, of course, and its in the cloud, but it can be very useful in keeping track of contacts across different social media, especially if you are a one person business. I'll download this later and try it out for these reasons, but Nimble gives one person accounts away free so I think I'll stick with that...

#4 @iggi: Please bear in mind that not everyone is as familiar with all of the intricacies and nuances of programming such as you no doubt are. I can assure you that the overwhelming majority of the people who visit GAOTD on a regular basis couldn't write an application like this if they had FIVE YEARS to accomplish the task, so even as rudimentary and primitive as this software may appear to be to you, it may nonetheless hold some real value for MANY others whose standards aren't quite as strict as yours are - even to the point of parting with the price of an energy drink or two to get it (if it weren't offered here today for free).

Having said that, however, I do have considerable uneasiness in trusting a software with data that could very well affect my personal brand on the internet, especially when there isn't a scintilla of information concerning the software's ability to keep such sensitive information safe from the malicious schemes constantly being conjured up by the Bad Guys of the world, for their manifold nefarious purposes.

In managing the multiple social media accounts I have set up for my business, I prefer to simply open up each social media site in its own tab in Firefox, with logins being facilitated by Roboform, which uses 128-bit encryption to secure its content. I highly recommend going this route if you wish to manage and monitor multiple social media accounts (and other types as well), even though it's a tad more expensive than today's offering here at GAOTD.

If you can carry friendship in a basket by all means do so. Friends carry Friends all the time doesn't matter the method of transport I treat all my friends equaly... this is a software site and not morals but in valor the old saying goes : "Do on to others what you want dones to you" but as for security rules or friendship rules you would never go to a friend and say : "How's your sister in bed" I know this is crude and never will it be posted (Edit if needed) but I don't believe mixing apple and oranges comparing softwares to people works in this place.

As for the tool offered today I'm glad someone built it... but I seriously need confidence in mixing logins and a bullet proof method in doing so.. I'm the first one to go on the line for friends to get their issues resolved before mine..

Good software if you want to have quick snap of everything that is happening across multiple accounts (that is if you have multiple accounts, for example, work and personal!! something like that!). Another wise it's a pain cycling through multiple open windows.

Thanks GAOTD Team for bringing out this!

Vista 32bit. Downloaded, installed, registered flawlessly. I must say, I was greatly disappointed. After figuring out the rather unusual interface, I was able to get into Facebook and others. But, it doesn't even appear to save the signon data so each time I have to type it all back in. Don't see where this does me any more than a browser except taking up an additional 30M on my system. Using Keypass with my browser offers the same/better access to my accounts. Not a keeper for me - but thanks to GAOTD and Grandsoft for letting me check it out.

Very useful piece of software! I got an facebook and a twitter account, while I was browsing other websites or playing games, I need to check back and forth to see if there are any messages or comments on my status. Now this little app just pop's up a balloon in the taskbar to tell me when updates I have so I don't need to check anymore!
I think it will be good for my gmail account too, I'll check later!
Thumbs up!!

I am concerned about the security aspect of using this software. I will only allow a third party application to interact with one of my social media accounts if I am confident that the application uses a secure login tool provided by the social media account, and never directly accesses or stores my password.

Grandsoft, you haven't even mentioned security and privacy concerns, either here or on your own web site. Had you addressed this issue convincingly, I might have given Social Pro a try, but as things stand, I think that installing this software is too risky.

Tried it and uninstalled.
Unfortunately, this looks to me like half baked product. GUI is pretty much rudimentary. I know it is not that expensive, but I would expect more for $5. Also, there are only few settings to play with, there's no support for proxy with authorization, and lack of customization.
And what's the purpose of desktop/mobile switch? For what I could see, it only resizes a window?!? I would expect that it will adapt a text based on the window size (insted, you are forced to use a scrollbar). Don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, but this looks to me like it shouldn't take more than an hour to create application like this one...
