Helps you get back all kinds of lost or deleted data on Android devices.

SMS Recovery is a mobile phone sms recovery software. It retrieves deleted sms from all iPhone and Android phones. After deletion of a message the data blocks, which store the message, are not deleted from the database immediately, but are marked as the unused block. These data blocks can be covered only when new SMS are stored in the database.

If you use this software for recovery before the deleted data blocks are covered by the new data, you can successfully recover all the SMS.

@7, Allan:
Backup services are not something I'll ever use. Paranoid maybe... Example:
"Google knows nearly every wifi password in the world"

Has anyone actually tried the program and if so would they care to tell what they believe to be the plus and minuses of the software?

Did not want to pay for Root Explorer but I do have X-plore on a rooted Android 5.1.1 phone and could not find the database file or any of the other files mentioned in the help section for the app.

Searched the root directory for each of these files but could not find any of them.

Does anyone have a suggestion as to where these files may be found?

I'm very well aware, it isn't popular asking questions in the comment track. However, I dare to ask, if this program really won't work with Windows 10 ? Btw most smartphones have back up funktions for recovery - just for free. Thanks anyway.

I have a USB SIM adaptor. With free software you can do anything to the SIM.
Not that I have a mobile phone!

I don't use a smart phone but if I did I would be happy to be able to recover a message I had deleted by mistake. If it worked for an older Nokia phone I would certainly download it as I have no way of recovering a message once deleted.

Android:
Software requires a rooted phone and "root explorer" or similar to be installed to copy the message database to your SD card.
Next you'll have to copy the files to your PC ...that is if you still like to run SMS recovery.

I know that most people have smart phones or android phones. But, the few of us that don't, would not use this software at all! But, come to think of it, most people that do have these types of phones, would probably have no need for this type of software anyways, nor would they go through the trouble of downloading this software, then hooking up your phone to your computer, then trying to use this software! With all of these steps that you have to go thru, it sounds like it would be too much of a hassle, in trying to use this software on your smart phone! But, this is my opinion.

I suppose it would depend of how bad they wanted to retrieve the deleted messages....people quite often send photos and other information they may wish to save via text messages....but then again, you wouldn't know that if you don't use that type of phone or tablet.

Developer specializes in products that monitor children and employees; from keyloggers to facebook audio recorder to lan employee monitors. Could not find an adress or telephone number of the developer on their site. Even a WHOis URL lookup did not help, they hide behind privacyprotect.org. That is a bit ironical...
