Search GT is a fast file search add-on for Windows. It allows you to find pictures, music, documents and other files instantly. The program is completely integrated into Windows Explorer and looks very similar to Windows native File Search tool, so you already know how to use it!Search GT reads file system directly, bypassing Windows system libraries normally used for file enumeration. This allows to get the results fast and makes sure they are always up to date.

I’m most most intrigued how Search GT can get such “fast results” without preindexing. (it is definitely impressive).
My current Free search favorite “Locate32″ does require preindexing - but also provides instant “Search as you type” results.
Search As You Type isn’t really practical without a preindex database. The results from “Search GT” may not be instant - but it comes awful close. Smoke and Mirrors.
Very nice concept of having a different type of Explorer, but this program needs a little more functionality. I daresay that Windows Explorer is better.
Let’s start with my search terms. In Search GT I put in “Code Geass” without the quotes. I search, and everything with “Code Geass” pops up. Only 1 file.
When I went to Explorer and put in “Code Geass” everything with it as the keyword pops up. In Search GT it was only a .txt file. In Explorer it found 50 something .mp3 files, with “Code_Geass” in the title, which was what I was looking for. So I conclude that the keyword has to be exact, or even a missing space or underscore can screw up results.
Search GT is lightweight and in my opinion faster than Explorer, but unless you know the exact file name and find Explorer too slow, it has worse functionality than Explorer.
However, I must compliment the company for making a lightweight alternative to Explorer.
