For those who did not give up and delte this app, it took awhile but it finally started working, it parsed unusually long but then offered a choise of formats and resolutions. Am now waiting for my download. Will add result when finished.

Yeah, it won't light up the "OK" after parsing. All you can do then is cancel

When it parses a YT url it works great.
Really like the flexibility of selecting video download setting.

Unfortunately, the parsing fails often and I have to click 'parsing' again to get it to work.

Same for me. I entered a YT link, it did 'parsing' for a long time and nothing happened. I tried the root URL for YT, same.

It just doesn't work.

Mine just says "Analyzing...." Under the download bar... that never moves. I do not like this design at all.
Few things to add.
Auto populate from clipboard... when you clip the address from a video page... as soon as you move it over to the top of this apps window... it should add that address to the url fill in box.
Also... it does NOT give you the option to select where that video is stored. Most of us do not want to keep all our videos in the Documents folder in our "c" drive. yes we can down load them there THEN move them... what a pain... you talk about making things simple... but for who...not us.
You want to be the best... make the downloader... that has a button... ON THE VIDEO... up in corner or something...
that if you like the vid you are watching... touch the button. Click... its already been set up in the set up window that can be changed at will when needed. The video is downloaded to YOUR CHOICE of locations or drives.
Done... simple, easy, ONE button. No extra screens to go find or have to open each time to be on top of the vid window. ONE CLICK and done. Anyone know where i can find that... and works on YT or any other vid in any other window?
cuz This one is getting removed...

Free, You can actually change where the vid is stored by going to the bottom where it says output and click on the dotted line (...) at the end of the link, it will then let you browse to the location you want the vid to be downloaded to.

Now if the other issue with this were as easy to solve...

Glad it's not just me then! BTW tried it on an old Win7 and still no luck. I think it might be YouTube's doing, as they are constantly trying to stop viewers downloading videos, unless you pay up of course!

Can't get past "Parse" just blank where the second image on their demo above shows a list of options ... Registered and installed fine , checked their site and all seems OK. Using Win10.

Van Helsing, I tried the same, pasted the URL and pressed Parse but it did not parse the URL. Then I tried again, pasted the link and pressed enter in the field where I had pasted the URL link (without pressing the Parse button), and this caused the link to be analysed and it gave me several resolution and format options.

Quite possibly YouTube has updated it's code to block third party downloaders and YTube needs a patch update. This free version does not allow updates though.
