Minibin Lite 1.0 was available as a giveaway on May 15, 2026!
Minibin Lite is a lightweight system utility designed to manage the Windows Recycle Bin directly from the notification area (system tray). Unlike bulky third-party solutions, this project is focused on maximum performance and native integration!
Key Features:
Dynamic Icon Updates: The tray icon changes in real-time depending on the Recycle Bin state (empty or full).
One-Click Access: Open the Recycle Bin with a left mouse click and use the context menu for quick emptying.
Background Operation: Runs completely invisibly, without creating extra windows or processes on the taskbar.
Embedded Logic: All PowerShell functionality is “baked” into the binary EXE file, making the program portable and secure.

This app can indeed be installed on a Flash Drive. During the installation:
You will see the Directory in which it is pre-programmed default location to be installed... click the "Browse" Tab to the right of the path in which to install the app directly in the Root folder of said Flash Drive. It is Pre-wrapped, and one may be required to temporarily, I repeat... temporarily, pause your Firewall in which to install it. I own Avast Premium, and simply Scanned the Zip folder for viruses or malware, it came out safe, as all of this websites' apps are totally free of such detrimental consequence's. afterwards in your apps listing, find the app in which you installed "Minibin Lite 1.0", place your cursor on the Icon and right click once. In the Drop Down menu, hover over the "More" and carefully move your cursor the the "Open file location." Select all, and lastly paste the Two shortcuts and the Uninstaller file within that folder you've located them in In your pc. (If such shortcuts are deleted, one would need to create the two shortcuts said above again, in order to have an easier way to open this app, those shortcuts and Uninstaller file were found in my Directory:
Note:
If your pc's Windows is Labeled C: the entire path are located here:
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Minibin Lite
Note: Installing this app will also install the following list of apps with it:

Or, you could just put the recycle bin icon/link on your desktop, to do exactly the same thing. Right click to open the context menu: Use this to open, empty, or anything else that you can do with the recycle bin: 2 clicks and you're done. Why would one need this app?

This seems to offer about the same functionality as the freeware minbin 6.6, except the freeware version will empty the recycle bin with a single double-click.

95MB is not bulky for emptying the trash?

I looked at the website and I really do not understand what this does. My Recycle Bin is pinned to my star menu. It;s two clicks and I'm there.

Can this app be installed on a Flash Drive?

007, yes it could be but WHY would you? it's pointless and does not solve anything that is a problem... just wastes space with a dummy space taking 108Mbyte file called 20M.TXT file and just spawns an instance of powershell.exe running a temporary .ps1 powershell script to waste nearly a 100Mbytes of system RAM for something you can do with enabling a recycle-bin as a desktop icon in just about ALL versions of Windows NT that has ever existed that consumes 0bytes of system RAM and is more useful!

"Can this app be installed on a Flash Drive?"
Minibin Lite consists of 2 files, one at 10KB & a 110MB .txt file in a folder under Program Files (x86). What are likely sponsored icons & URL shortcuts are also added both to the Program Files (x86) folder and the desktop. Installation adds an uninstall key to the registry, but nothing else and no other files are added, so the app should run portably, e.g., from a USB stick after copying the Minibin Lite folder to that USB stick. It is not a portable app though in the strictest sense since when it's run a registry entry is created for the tooltip.
