(I normally don’t get too vocal on GAOTD, but…)
Come on people! Only 20 minutes into the giveaway and already 68% thumbs down and NO comments explaining why it got so much negativity? (Is there a bug? Not good enough? Just what’s exactly is wrong with it?) This have also happened a lot with previous giveaways with people dismissing the product simply because they are not interested.
I understand that converters have been given out by the dozens in the past, and I myself isn’t interested in this product today but I won’t vote it thumb down because I would not really know how good or bad it is for its purpose used by people who are interested in converters.
A suggestion: at least try the product before voting down, or at least say they vote it down because they don’t need it. The ratings are giving many people the wrong idea. I know from past experiences that some software that got bad ratings are actually really good in the field and it isn’t fair for people who are looking for their type of software to miss out on a good freebie because of majority of negative ratings and rants (eg. some people voting down because they could not activate a product, not because they tried it and don’t like it)
Or, maybe, like many people suggested before, a better voting system where people can vote “Not Interested” or leave a comment if they want to vote, or only vote if they downloaded a product. Download counts can also be useful in determining if people find a product useful.
Sometimes how good something is isn’t always determined by 5 stars or 100%.

I appreciate all your efforts, and thanks to the people who have posted constructive comments or recommended other (excellent) alternatives, many of which are free, they have always been insightful and helpful indeed :)
Just my two cents for today, will be back tomorrow for another installement in the Giveaway of the Day saga :D (as I have been doing everyday since January)
well the only problem i can see in this giveaway is the no free upgrades. because a new video format is comming soon and when that comes this program wont be able to convert it unless we could get a free upgrade.
