Heck, Picasa is a much better solution than this one. I am also wondering where "film" figures into this app.

Disappointing. Where does the film part come in?

Software installs, registers, and works fine. Litters the desktop with unnecessary shortcuts to other products. Very limited functionality, such as no way to adjust the time a particular image is shown (to coordinate with the music) - you can only adjust the time for all of them or some variant in expert mode that still does not allow one at a time (only allowed for one setting for the five in the display, such as 4 - 8/8 (and this is in "single frame" mode).

Regardless of the Video Compression chosen, it still saves in AVI format. Also noticed a bug in the "organize" interface - the "shuffle" and "exit" buttons are absolute positional so, depending on your viewport size on that screen, they can end up in weird places. This may be why the main screen is not resizable.

Terrible app. Windows Movie Maker 2.6 blows this away. Uninstalled.

PS: For those of you having errors using Windows XP, I hate to be the one to tell you, but your operating system has been replaced more then three times (Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8) and officially is no longer supported by Microsoft.

Video resolution appears to be limited to a maximum of 720x480. The maker's website has a link on it to a review at Software.Informer.com . Go there to see a short video which briefly shows the main features of the program. ( http://phototofilm.software.informer.com/ ). There's a choice of several output resolutions which maxes out at 720x480. This has 2 advantages - you can choose a smaller/lower resolution that's email-friendly, and the limited resolutions won't overtax an older, less powerful computer. However, it would still be nice to see HD-quality options here.

OK, so I download and install on win 7 64 bit. Installed program opens to show an interface and features that are minimalistic at best. Features circa 2006. Loaded 206 pictures. Tried to add audio, but it only adds 1 song - not a list. Tried to change some parameters - no way to do it. Under settings, you can change the language on the fly. Nothing else is under that button. You never when you might need to change the language on the fly. The buy now button never went away even in the registered version.
OK, select a codec and compile - no on the fly preview, no time line, no way to edit transitions, no audio timeline. No way to edit photos. The compilation took an hour and would not play. OK, so I change codecs - same result - will not play. OK, so I change codecs again - same result - will not play. That is 3 hours of messing about with nothing whatsoever for the result.
Bottom line - could really not get anything to work properly. Not even the little preview window, which works as the slides are processed, worked after about slide 7 or so. Uninstalled.

When see software developer is KC Softwares, it rings an alarm bell.

I will prefer to use the freeware alternatives and Ashampoo Slideshow Studio given away by GOTD previously on 26 June 2013.

The first thought that comes to my mind is this looks like one of the many slideshow programs. Is this more than a simple slideshow program?

Installed quick and easy on win7 64 bit,
looks out dated but did the job, not the best out there in freebe land, its free today and it seems like its free all the time, not a keeper for me as I have another freebe http://download.cnet.com/Bolide-Slideshow-Creator/3000-13631_4-75628728.html
which is 10 times better.

I googled this in the hope of finding some screen shots and version 3.1.1.79 seems to be free pretty much all over the internet so how come it's suddenly $14.99?
Is this giveaway version different in any way from the widely available freeware versions?

Also, if anyone can post a screen shot link I would be very grateful...

Looks like a very old program with no modern features. Bolide Slideshow Creator is much better (can create FullHD slideshow in several video formats) and completely FREE, with no adware and no browser toolbars, no activation problems.
