Any chance of a repeat of MakeUp Guide? It was offered on November 23rd (I think).....

Please consider a repeat since it got some good reviews.

Thank you.

Already have version 1.3.1 . and as usual do not know if it is worth uninstalling for this version . I wish regular software company contributors to GAOTD , or GAOTD itself would list the improvements made to latest versions offerings.

As to improvements I can see a market in a software that automatically makes women look slimmer ; the does my bum look big in this syndrome! Or for the African market one that increases the bum size , where large is considered beautiful.

Seriously? Looking at the examples on the product page (lips in particular) I see lines far outside of the lips, bleeding and other things I wouldn't even consider publishing on a photo.

Anyone with Photoshop Elements or Photoshop (or any editing program offering layers and and a paint brush) can do a better job with the paint tool, blur filter and colour layer blending in no more than couple of minutes. Everything needed is already in the program.

I can't see professional photographer's using this tool, even for touch ups.

While I always appreciate GOATD for their efforts, and appreciate the opportunity to try new or updated software from the developer's ... this one (for me) fails the test - it doesn't provide anything more; anything better; nor anything easier than many other editing programs, some of which offer much more than make-up editing.

i've been trying all day to install Makeup Guide. every time i try, i get the following error: "Failed to connect. Please try again later." i even deleted the first download from earlier today and re-downloaded it - same error message. after extracting the 3 files into a folder, i double click on Setup.exe. i click on "Run" on the next screen. when the little "Activating" screen comes up, it's immediately hidden by another small window headed "Giveaway of the Day" and followed with the error message. any help would be appreciated.

I wish all the GAOTD programs would install this easily. Registration seems to have been automatic. Looks like a fun program. Thanks so much, GAOTD and Tint Guide!

i SOOOO agree with #11--much cheaper than plastic surgery!

I like this program, but as someone else said, not enough color choices--I like red lipstick, for instance. And i'd like eyebrow pencil color choices, also, along with eyeliner colors. Also, under the "powder" choice, does it only remove shine? I need foundation and concealer LOL

Considering today's culture, this might become real popular (maybe not $45 popular) with those suffering body image issues by adding a few more options:
- Facelifter
- Botox
- Dark Circles/Bags Eraser
- Throat Wattle Tightener
- Caterpillar Eyebrow Depilatory
- Mustache Waxer
- Teeth Whitening
- Nose Job
- Ear Pinback
- Nose Ring Hole Filler
- Snaggle-tooth Straightener
- Hairy Wart Remover
- Cheekbone Elevation
- Bloodshot Eye Drops

plus an Export button to all the popular online dating sites.

Downloaded and installed without any issues. It does work as a plug in for Photoshop (at least for the version I'm using, which is CS-2). The tutorials are simple and straightforward, but the results are unimpressive to sloppy. Still, if you don't have any other facial touch up software, this will work if you have a good eye and a steady hand. I personally like Perfect365, which is my overall favorite for this type of retouching.

The make suggestion box just gives me a run around when I tried to leave feedback (please fix it). Here is my suggestion from a couple minutes with the program. Expand the color palettes, make them go all the way to white & black or add sliders to adjust colors. Can we then create special effects makeup looks, or creating a costume look for Halloween.

The program installed okay on Win 8 64 bit. Found PS CS5 and installed plug-in connection. Program and tutorials started okay. Thank you.

Hi, Makeup Guide 1.4.2 is not a perfect virtual makeup Tool, there are far superior to it makeup 'applicators' (like my personal favorite and automatic - Perfect365), but all in all - small enough to have basic Set of Brushes at hand and in one place (plus guide how to apply them, also 'at hand' in main window), also when installing goes to Photoshop as plugin, again rather sweet and always welcomed feature.

Like Others stated - seriously overpriced (note Developer!), only for those who like to spend time 'messing about' both with strokes and choosing the right tint/color (not that obvious from palettes, nearly always different than one imagines.., but hey, real makeup pieces also look different in shops, on hands etc, till you get home?:)

Don't be afraid to apply colors that 'belong' to specific category (cheeks, hair, eyes) elsewhere, as they might look better on parts of faces or background when mixed-up..

Using a good close up - easy enough with patience and practice, and worthwhile having in my view - Program for 'coloring' b&w photos, especially small portrait/passport pics, so because free Today - grab it if that's Your line of interest!

Keeper Tool for me, thanks GAOTD and Tint Guide.

This sort of thing is used all the time in the print & video industries -- you don't really think anyone really matches those magazine or on-line photos do you. That's one reason IMHO the paparazzi can sell their photos for such a good price -- some people like to see the famously perfect taken down a notch or three. In fact this sort of Photoshopping is just the tip of the iceberg -- stand-ins are regularly used for whatever body parts aren't perfect, or in movies they sometimes use the stand-in's whole body minus the head.

Another reason to use Makeup Guide is that unless you've put a good deal of money into your camera equipment, the pictures you take are a compromise. You used to often hear stuff like: "The cheapest camera can take the same shots as the most expensive gear", and when you were dealing with film there was some truth to that. Since we've gone digital OTOH the electronics used can make all the difference in the world... more expensive is almost always better. That's NOT saying you have to go out & drop $500+ on a DSLR, but rather realize that the chips that capture the light [& your image] are one of the 1st places costs are cut, & a cheaper CCD will not capture every color, with in-camera electronics trying their best to make up for that fact.

So, long story short, GOTD has offered apps from Tint Guide before, & while they're not Photoshop, people generally thought they were pretty decent & capable, worth using on at least some of their photos. Touching up face shots is not always called for -- there are a lot of gallery pics giving a glimpse from a "Life's Hard" perspective -- but most of the people you know would rather have any photos of them look more flattering rather than less... after all, in our self-conscious world, most are more than aware of every slightest imperfection. The downside is that it's a bit more work in a Instagram world. That's not good or bad IMO -- just is.

I have to agree with most everyone else on the price! Way too over-priced! Especially for a photograph touch-up software, that will probably make the photo looked touched-up anyways!

Thanks to Tint Guide + GOTD.

Uninstalled a previous version 1.3 and installed this later version 1.4.2.

I seldom use this. I like my portraits to show the subject with all so-called imperfections. They are more real that way.

But thanks anyway.

Pretty standard make-up and retouching tool. It's very easy to use and I really like being able to control the brush size with the mouse wheel. But asking 45$ for this is madness. I like Retouch Pilot and Beauty Pilot (two earlier very similar giveaways) a lot better as far as finished results go, but this is good to have while it's free if you have no similar programs. I just wouldn't pay the asking price.

$45 for this software? Must be a typo. Portrait Professional which is far more superior and currently selling for % 39.95 is a stand alone software which can also be used as a plugin for both Lightroom and Photoshop is a much better option.
