Hi Guys,

I downloaded and installed this on Win10 Pro and tested it on a hard drive with known file deletions. It scanned the whole disk and found nothing! The last offering we had found many things without problem. I have uninstalled it and won't give it a thumbs up!

If you read the system requirements, it makes no mention of working with Windows 10.

Good to know. After upgrading to Windows 10, and uninstalling it...I found I had lost over 100 GB of data. (At the moment I am trying a different product...however, I do plan to give G2tool a try...)

Today's developer does itself no favours by over-selling itself, because the inevitable conflation that arises from its specific claim to being "a world pioneer developer" will come as much of a surprise to many others as it did to me -- and especially if one looks for G2Tools in this official "world pioneer" list:

http://widgets.weforum.org/techpioneers-2015/#maincat

Thanks, GOTD, and good luck to G2Tools, but when a question mark hovers over the accuracy of claims a company makes for itself, then question marks are bound to hover over the accuracy of the claims that company makes about its products.

This program has a 1 1/2 star rating on download.com. Barely. That's not good!

Download.com isn't the most trustworthy site since they put their own wrapper around all of the apps which attempts to install toolbars and other junk. So, it's not as good as it used to be. People are often giving lower scores to the software because of the junk that gets installed when they don't pay attention to the installer options. I stay away from the site anymore. I haven't tried this app, yet, but will in a bit.

I like the program and how it looks, just hope it will work good as it looks. I get a feeling of something new when I saw this GUI, coz compared to other similar programs as looks so flat and old, this has a fresh and strong look or what are other thinks about that?

I like their easy serial key. It is a giveaway after all.
No mucking about with overly-complicated keys.
I would not use the "Create Image" part of the software.
There are better software than G2tool for bare metal recovery of the hard disk.
Prefer to only use "Recover deleted file" portion.

There can be only one request for a download link every day:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/10366431/_GOTD/EpuborUltimateeBookConverter304_20150808/2deAanvraagVoorDownload.png

Also there is a diffrence between Internet Explorer 11 and Firfox 39.0
Internet Explorer; I cannot type the mail-adres:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/10366431/_GOTD/EpuborUltimateeBookConverter304_20150808/RequestIE.png

In Firefox it went easy:

And maybe the mail from "Giveaway of the Day _giveaway@giveawayoftheday.com_" can be considerd as Spam.
Just because it wil sent a lot of mail in a very short time.
Maybe it went to the Spam-folder.

Yes-I'm really disappointed from this "innovation"! Same problems with IE. I am wondering why GOTD has to do that...

Installed and registered without problems on a Win 10 Pro 64 bit system. A clean install. That's a good registration key. Really!

A company without name and address.

About Us
G2TOOL, Inc. is a world pioneer software developer of PC/Mac utility technologies and applications. G2TOOL is now widely recognized as a leading company concentrating on iPhone software, data recovery software, password recovery software, Windows system software.

Hmmm, never heard of this leading company. Google also... google for "G2TOOL"
And just 2 (two!) hits until December 2014 for this software?

This IS one of the former mentioned developers, claiming to be a world leading company (&mothers kitchen table)...
And this is version 5.2.0? Must have been started with version 4.9 beta.

This program comes with the Chinese MPlayer

A modern, clear and well designed interface opens (have a look!), you can define, what and where to scan:

The scan of an external SD card was fast, it found deleted files, the preview of .TXT files seems to have some difficulties in my case:

A good point is, that the software can resume a stopped scan. I "recovered" a found TXT file.
Well it was not a real TXT file any more:

The modern and cool interface is the best, maybe we wait for a version 10 end of this year.

Uninstalled via reboot

Have nice Sunday!

Found filenames in full detail on a scrubbed drive! Obviously not recoverable but eerie...

Also in my vmware machines, I always revert to snapshot...

Good enough for me to keep (next to minitool recovery). Made it portable (Thinapp)

Thumbs-up for me (and probably the rest of forensic enthousiasts)
