@Sukibabe, Dragonstone looks great, wish they would hurry up and release it !!

@ZF, thank you for the caiman.us url and the other 2 games. You have been a great help.

@Stephen, thank you too for your extra links, you are always a huge help to me. Will email you again soon.

I should have been back days ago, especially to thank you ZF for your huge, wonderful reply, but we have had gale force winds and heavy rain for three days which means I can't get onto the net with the Vodafone vodem (dialup) I use. Very frustrating, all those arkanoids to download, and game sites to look through and I couldn't do any of it. Just had to content myself with playing Magic Farm and at the worst of the weather, reading a book (too dangerous to have the power onto the computer then!) But, we needed the rain as we were at the start of a drought, so I can't complain just because I am a game-a-holic !!

    Just in from Gamezebo:

Dragon Stone will launch this Friday on PlayPonds site! Leap Day!

    http://www.playpond.com/

"It is very likely that this game will launch on Big Fish within a couple of months, if not sooner! The demo version on our site will not have a time trial so you can always curb your craving by playing that version until the game launches on Big Fish."

However, don't exit the game, just drop it down. I have found the same to be true with some of Oberon's games, but if you exit the demo will be up. I am assuming playponds would do the same (they are just not saying that)! I also do not remember if Dragon Stone had a windowed mode.

Thanks Sukibabe, I will download the trial, but will wait until the game is on Big Fish to buy it. I have been a member of Big Fish's Jumbo Pack for years and have bought well over one hundred games at US$6.99 each - just under NZ$10. Pretty cheap for a game, back in 2004 I was paying NZ$30 for each game, they were all priced at US$19.95 then. But our exchange rate has moved too, which also helps. (Mind you, I hate the BFG downloader now, especially being on dialup, it often cuts out and there is no resuming, it starts all over again, so I usually wait till I go to the internet cafe in town to download.)

Yes NZ, that dial-up sure takes along time.

When I had dial-up my, ISP would knock me off line every 4-6 hours due to what they said were security purposes. I had to farm out large downloads to my son to be copied to disk.
All were legal, but very large!

Just don't exit the game from playpond, drop it down if you can by putting it in windowed mode. I'm sure it will react like any demo if you exit, even if you have played 4 hours into it. Sounds like the to good to be true theory, then if you can't wait, The I'll buy it for 19.95!

    funkymom, Time to get up!!!

Dragon Stone is out and waiting, lol

It's a done download, but am waiting to hit 2:00 A.M. CST.

That is when both BF and Giveaway post the games.

Then it's off to slay a Dragon!!!!

    Suki

P.S. Since there is nothing of interest today, Im off to play Dragon Stone!
I did bring the game up, you can put it in windowed mode. Then I exited the game!
This looks like you are not going to be able to complete the game, I'm suspecting it has a lock feature that will only allow you to progress so far. When you exit and re-enter it does not give time remaining!

    I was right!

They let you get about half way in Chapter 3, then it brings up the buy screen to continue.
That's ok, I will just keep re-playing it till it comes to BF!

When I did the Beta for Legend of Aladdin, it was the same way.
That was pre 60 minute demo time limit at Eval for RA.

Still like the game, will buy it when gets to my price point!

Going to check out puzzle mode, since after you complete Chapter 1, that is unlocked.

I've just posted a seperate link to an free arkanoid called Deep Ball Defender that I nearly bought a few years ago, but forgot about until recently. I was going to buy it from BDStudios the developers, but they have taken it off their sales list and are now giving it away free provided you subscribe to their news letter. There's four other games for free as well, however these can be got free elsewhere as well. Follow the link below to go to the thread i've posted about these games as well as Deep Ball Defender:

I'm not sure whether I've posted details of Arcamania 2 Retro in the above thread, so will do so again. I've just posted a thread with some free games from 300AD, which contains Arcamania 2 retro an arkanoid, so thought it appropriate to link the thread here:

It's an excellent, but very hard arkanoid to beat. (I've still to complete all three of the arcamania games)

    regards

Good news for arkanoid lovers, Gametop appear to have increased their stock of free good quality arkanoids recently. You can check them out; there's ten free downloadable arkanoids (Sawnoid, A-Ball (aka Nuclear Ball}, Geometry Ball {aka Twinxoid}, Cosmoball, Brixout, Starball, Turboball, Scaraball, Aztec Bricks and Egyptian Ball plus another online one called Maya Ball

    http://www.gametop.com

There are nearly 90 full version arcade games available from Gametop now plus nearly as many online games and all for free. As mentioned countless times there is a small price to be paid for getting these games for free. Whenever you've finished playing the game and close it down, your browser is opened to the Gametop page. Personally I don't mind this as it's a small price to pay for a perfectly good arcade game that normally retails for nearly $20. I've checked every game and none have been infected with viri or other malware. I have noticed that the more recent games also have a tick box that you need to uncheck when installing otherwise your browser will be diverted to the gametop page.

If you do forget and then find your browser does open up to the Gametop page you can easily change it back to whatever you use by right clicking on your internet browser and select internet properties. In the home page address window ensure the browser address you wish to use is typed in for example

    Google: http://www.google.co.uk/

or you can click on use default to return it to it's original for example if you are using Microsoft’s Internet Explorer browser it will probably be MSN:

The following are some simple arkanoids I found earlier. They are not up to the standard of your Ricochet Infinity or Magic Ball 3, nor the freebies from Gametop, but they do offer some light relief, especially if you enjoy playing breakout/arkanoid games.

    New Arkanoid:

In one of your long journeys, you found an ancient treasure map. The map showed that to find the treasure, you must collect 7 ancient stones. Your mission is to start looking for these 7 stones. You will find them during your journey to get the treasure.
