Flip Image does't have an option to output flipbook as a screensaver.

@ BAZZY

The software shows 10 pages in the preview book, but all your pictures will be on the output flipbook.

Wait a sec! Am I missing something? This program limits you ten images only? ( like free trial programs...) Anyone have some insight?

No I'm afraid not kidding, I would consider it overpriced at $19.
The programme didn't give the least appearance that anybody actually cared about it.
The frames look like they have been designed by Blind Pew (from Treasure Island for the younger readers) and were at best pathetic.

If you're going to charge $99 your customers deserve something better than this thrown together program, there's clunkers and there's robbers and this program seems to have combined both attributes.

@ David Roper:

As its name suggests, today's GOTD is for images only. But this is a brilliant idea!

I downloaded and installed this software when this identical version was offered on 24 January, 2013. Ran some photos through it and found it to be nothing very special and it had less options than other free programs I already had. Then checked out their Web site and almost fell off my chair laughing when I saw the price: $99.00. Are they serious? Anyone who pays that kind of money for this type of program has to either be out of their mind, or the parent of the company owner. I immediately uninstalled it then and will not be installing it again as it is the same version and nothing new to see.

@ #7,Anthony Green, for virtualization you can also use the freeware 'Toolwiz Time Freeze', that is similar to 'Shadow Defender' in their light virtualization feature.

This is ho I wished the PC OS would be. A book that you added chapters to and then turned the pages to the TOC and find out what page the application was on. Page 8 has MS Word, for instance. Turn the page to there and execute WORD. No learning curve. We all know how to read a book.

Is there any way to use today's GAOTD to do this?

Installed fine on Win 8.1 64 and win 7 64 runs god does what the program "claims" with the exception of Full Screen. was able to put my entire collection of vacation pics and create a nice flipalbum to send to my family. As stated by Giovanni above flash is a thing of the past but it is still used. If you want to create html5 flip book try there Free version on there home page it works well also Flip HTML5. I would give this a 8 out of 10 for ease of use but lack of true full screen.

@#1 Karl. Thank you for your short but helpful comment. It would be great, if you could post the name of the recommendable gaotd given away virtualization program you mention. Thanks in advance.

Something that I don't see is a way to output as a screensaver. That's the only thing that would make it a keeper for me... Am I missing that option? Anyone see that option? Maybe I overlooked it?

It was "Shadow Defender" from May 2013, updated and still in use.

Come now, XP-Man - I know that you're no stranger to this site, and yet you can actually say with a straight face that THIS is the most overpriced piece of software you've ever seen?

Were you just not paying attention to the price of all those clunkers in the past? (LOL)

Don't get me wrong - I'm very grateful for the many GOOD pieces of software I've received from/thru GAOTD - ones that were well worth the regular asking price. (I'm pretty sure XP-Man is too. I'm sure that if one were to dig thru the archives one would find his glowing exhortations about one or two titles.)

However, the price point for much of the software offered here is WAY too high, which usually indicates to me that the author/developer hasn't really done much (if any) market research (that or they have no business sense whatsoever, which isn't that uncommon in the sometimes bizarre world of "coders").

"(*) this always means rebooted, thanks for the GOATD virtualisation program. One of the best."

.

Yes, but just what "virtualisation program" are you talking about??

As for today's give-away - I'm not interested in such freebies either!

$99? Lol! That's almost enough to buy a brand new Nook HD tablet computer!
Good luck.

This is the same version that was offered here last january.

Don’t worry if there are only 10 pictures on the preview page. All your pictures will be on the flipbook.

Regarding the output itself, I can now see my tiny photos (especially the vertical ones) lost on a large wooden background. Even Windows basic slideshow does better. Full screen must be full screen.

I installed this program on a computer running Windows 8.1. It installed quickly and easily and it performed precisely as described - including features not mentioned in the description.

Flip
Auto Flip
Zoom
Thumbnails
Print
Full Screen
Interface for posting to many social sites
Portability for display on pads and phones
HTML output
Executable output
Flip sound on and off
Several options for turning pages
Burn to CD
Imbed tracking code for Google analytics
And some features I have not yet explored

The only thing that did not seem to work, in the executable mode, was a button to send the executable to someone via email. Pressing that button produced no apparent result. I suspect it does not interface to my email client - Thunderbird.

This program is clearly a "keeper" for me.

Well, if you have tons of PICS in your PC and love creating an online animated flipping digital web gallery, this tool does its dirty job pretty well.

Users can arrange page settings for each image page (Paper Layout, Paper Size, Output Quality, Margin size, Opacity etc...), as well as set widget Frame and Text for every pages and even the Language to be used for your published page-flipping eBook.

The created Flash slideshow can be published online, sent by email in EXE/Zip format or even burnt to CD with no hassle.

So overall this GAOTD is no bad at all and deserve a THUMBS UP!

However, as I said tons of times in the past, FLASH technology is dying day by day in favour of HTML5.

This is the big CONS of this GAOTD, besides the one mentioned by Karl in comment 1.

And if you really need, for odd reasons, a page flipping effect to your photo gallery, you can do that for FREE:

But how about record VIDEOS from a connected webcam and then make printed FLIPBOOKS of them on the fly for FREE??

And what if you could convert your photos to PDF format and then create compelling PDF presentations, with page transition effect, automatic page advance time and background music for FREE?

Great online slideshows presentations in FLASH format can also be made using this FREE tool:

Not my cup of tea for sure; having said that have never liked flip type book programs, this did absolutely nothing to change that as I did not find it pleasant to use nor did I find the output pleasing.
The most overpriced piece of software I have ever seen and even though it is free for today it has been removed from my machine.

Installed on a Win 8.1 64 Bit system without problems.

I'm not discussing the sense of flip books...

The software is easy to use and generates flip books in different formats. I choosed the .exe as output.

One things disturbs me. The so called full screen option does not display the flip book in full screen, as expected, but the surrounding flip book program with all keys, options and link to website. Whoever wants to create flipbooks for whatever reason should be aware, that the created book does not fill the fullscreen.

Thanks for GOATD for this and all the other programs.

Uninstalled. (*)

(*) this always means rebooted, thanks for the GOATD virtualisation program. One of the best.
