WOW, are these people crazy? $99.00 for the program and then an aditional $15.00 for templates. LOL, Also, After creating my gallery...the program closes itself out and it doesnt even save the files or creation. Nowhere can I find the files to the directory I chose to save. Thumbs down for me. There is much more better alternatives then this program, Free and Shareware.

Well you really don't need adobe flash player
as some above mention to play flash or swf!
Total Video Player which is one of most useful
video player can also play flash files! I download
flash games and flash videos and used t use only
adobe flash player! I found that can actual play
flash games with Total Video Player and it is better!
I am going to download above program with slow dial
and hope it is good program - thanks!

The underlying point of using Flash for an online photo gallery is to keep people from freely downloading and perhaps using (and taking credit for or getting paid for) your photos, something most people aren't worried about, but which photo pros/serious enthusiasts do worry about. What are they replacing Flash with that does the same thing? Is that part of HTML5, because it hasn't been possible to lock images with earlier versions. Or is it in some other existing or emerging technology?

I downloaded and gave it a try, to few templates, does save in various formats, basically a vidio editor is as good as this program.
ansvsoft photo flash is a whole lot better with transision effects and more for less.

After scanning some of the comments, I noticed that there is some misinformation in some of them.

There are currently no additional templates for this software.

#35 - the additional templates with which #15 and #25 mention are for the Flash Slideshow Factory (FSF).

Once the program is properly registered you have access to nine templates.

Since the registration information is pre-filled, it would have made more sense to just have the software automatically register itself during the installation process. Also, I agree with the suggestion that the "Buy Now" button should not be a part of the interface once the software is registered.

The price is a bit steep for what you're getting since you cannot create your own templates and it is not flexible it enough to merit the $99 price tag, but it is a pretty good application.

Win XP SP3
I often look at Govanni's suggestions, but today's not only has a terrible GUI, it is hard to understand and doesn't work properly. So, after a restore, I installed the GOTD, much simpler to understand, 1,000 times better GUI, AND It works.
True, it only has 9 templates, but better 9 that work than 50 that don't.
By the way, if the registration form comes up pre filled in, you can change the registered name to your own.
The main "fault" I find, is that the "register" button doesn't go from the main page, even after registering, a little tacky in my opinion.

Thanks for this give-away! This product installed easily and was easy to use. There are a lot of options to add text, photo titles, transitions, music, etc. And you can make an executable file. (There are free templates included - you just select one of the templates that are shown at the bottom of the screen on step 1.) I didn't read the instructions at all as it was rather intuitive. One thing I would improve - the thumbnails are too small and I didn't see a way to enlarge them.

I've also been fooling around with other flash slideshow creators.

I have found some things that need fixing.....

On start up, create new directory. No browse button with create new folder? What the Hell.
The pictures do not scale properly
You cannot use a long name as a picture title.
Program tries to connect to the Internet on start up.......PC Tools Firewall Plus blocks that.

It would be nice to have the additional templates, but it's probably built into the executable.

I feel you can remove the Created by ThunderSoft Flash Gallery Creator.Copyright(C) 2012 ThunderSoft from the resulting html file.

I'm downloading the Thundersoft Flash Slideshow Factory trial to see how that works. If it's good for 30 days, that's all I need.

I can´t understand that high price as you only get 1 year for your money.

GAOTD version
No free technical support, No free upgrades to future versions,
Strictly personal usage, No additional templates in future

Payed version
Lifetime usage, free upgarde within one year.
Personal License $99.95 (today $19.95)
Commercial License $179.95 (today $39.95)

It do annoys me that commercial license is close to twice the price of personal license, because I would never buy anything this expencive as long there is free alternatives. Personal use mean that you can only show it to your friends when you pay for it. Todays version can only you look at...

CoffeeCup Photo Gallery software is 1/3 the price, easier to design and edit slideshow and the displayed pages are prettier.

Make this software similiar but add FILE TYPES (more options) input & outputs to include PNG (photo_ files as PNG files don't degrade in color and size when editing or saving but JPG files do.

Both softwares do let you add MUSIC (file) to page but CoffeeCup Photo Gallery software is way easier to manuever and use and has way more options.

Frankly, only flash sites made by artists are worthwhile projects.

All studies show it: flash is against usability (the paper is more than 10 year old but still present!). Other than that, flash sites are among the ugliest (the templates say it all), useless, and dumbest. When I stumble upon of of those, I skip it because I know I'll lose my time reading unreadable information and not getting it.

The worst flash page being the infamous "Skip intro". Why, but why one makes me click 2 times to get in ? I have absolutely NO respect to such stupid behavior.

Another concern is the LSO cookies left by Adobe flash applications. If you don't know what they are, then you have a privacy problem.

There are many reasons why flash technology has no future. Some posters have given one or two.

Please, make the world a favor: do not download such software. Do not make flash sites.

Pricing is from LaLa Land; product is marginally useful at best, at the trailing edge of technology.

WHAT does this do that IrfanView or XnView doesn't do? ...
granted for today this is free, but for $100 I would think this could do more and maybe use less computer bytes.

For instance, how about forgetting the silly pre-designed templates to allow the user to create their own? or forgetting only using the SWF and allowing for any extension? ...

I am a web professional and I have to say that today's giveaway ThunderSoft Flash Gallery Creator is a great freebie. From a designers stand point it has all the features that would help the beginner to an expert. Sometimes I build galleries out of flash and most of the time I build them using jQuery, it all depends on the client.

I have never tried any of Thundersoft's software, everyone has their own personal favorite of what software to use and I have been using Wondershare Flash Gallery Factory Deluxe for years. Just my $0.02 worth.

Thanks GOTD for looking out for us designers.
Have a great day everyone!!

Only the software is free, however there are no free templates. To use this, you would have to buy a template of your choice and each on costs $14.99...
This is ridulous, you can get so many free plugins on Joomla or wordpress, which do the same for absolutely free.. there are plugins for HTML5 as well for free...

So why would anyone get this software and pay $14.99 to use it, by purchasing the template...

Interesting. Seems to do a good job in creating a flash gallery, but as many have said, Adobe is phasing out Flash as a depreciated technology, so asking $100 is insane. This is a 32-bit app, and the ocx error occurs with 64-bit systems - FGC relies on 32-bit Adobe Flash Player components, and the ocx calls are not being transferred from 32-bit to 64-bit. The solution is for the developer to create a 64-bit version of the program (or at least a translating 64-bit dll to handle external calls). This kind of issue happens with many 32-bit programs running on 64-bit Vista / 7.

#11 Teddy1167 - I would suspect that you are accessing the files directly from the ZIP file (using the Windows built-in ability to click into a ZIP), and your anti-virus cannot see the file directly and it is blocking access. Always extract all files from archives (try installing 7-Zip) first before trying to use. If a file is otherwise being denied access, CCoulomb's Unlocker is almost always able to "unlock" the restriction, or tell you what other program has restricted access to the file. I also suspect that English is not your native tongue and you may not be reading instructions carefully.

I don't like improvement ideas that criticize the price of a product! If the software is unique enough, people are willing to spent more money on it. If the software is like one-in-a-dozen, the high price will turn off potential customers and thus won't sale and thus might be lowered.

Well it is pretty easy to creat a photo book; but I have to disagree the phrase "don't need to know anything about html". There are no directions or help for embedding the created swf file into a web page. So I guess you have to know something about html. This installed easily to my xpsp3 system. Registered flawlessy.

Believing Adobe's official statement a while back, that they pulled the plug for Flash, I can't see a bright future for Flash. Yet, still lot of Flash content on the web. I guess it will take a long time for Flash to vanish entirely from the web space.

HTML 5 is the way to go, so they say. I'm not a HTML coder and neither a Flash expert.

Having a look at their website, the gallery examples are old school at best what you can do with the program. I'm not excited about trying Flash Gallery Creator, because my design taste and expectations are extremely high compared to the average user (I'm a designer). But saying that, it's a matter of taste of cause. I'm sure some folks might like it.

Though nicely designed, this is at best a toy that even the most photo-enthusiast web user will use once or twice and then forget about. Once you get past the initially confusing interface, you find that it comes with 9 relatively fancy gallery-like layout that you can use to create photo galleries, of which all the elements -- from the choice of the background image to the size and font family of the text for each button -- are configurable. Because it takes way too long to fully customize a layout (unless you're already an experienced Flash user) and because of the lack of pre-configured sets of options for each template, it's unlikely that it will appeal much to the casual user. And if you are anything but a casual user, you're probably better off using Adobe Flash directly if you don't already.

It's probably worth keeping in mind that despite being flashy, the Flash format is rapidly losing ground on the market. Developers, including Adobe, are scrambling to come up with replacement technologies while you sleep ;-) There are tons of alternatives for this product out there: a simple search for "free photo gallery templates" will keep you busy for a day. The original asking price for this product ($99) is definitively way too high, given their target market, specially if you consider that the application also tries to sell you additional templates (at $14.95 each). On the other end... it's free today on GOTD, so if you anticipate the need to build a photo gallery in Flash format in the near future, you might as well grab it.

I zipped right over to the website and read, "no HTML or Flash knowledge is required" - vital to someone like me that has no experience whatsoever with HTML or Flash, for that matter!

It downloaded, installed and registered very easily (the registration number was already in the box and one simply has to click 'ok').

As I said, I don't know anything about 'Flash' but it was easy to add a group of photos and create a mini-slideshow and I suspect the other options may be easy to learn, as well.

Thank you once again to our site for finding these freebies and thanks to ThunderSoft for todays offer (including making it so easy to install and register ... no hoops to go through and no unwanted 'extras' to watch for when installing).
