Installed the app on my desktop running XP Pro and tried to rip a DVD; a file was created, but nothing was put in it. Same with a PC running Windows Home Server Beta 2.

Downloaded and installed this to convert DVDs to Pocket PC 2002. I used the last phone setting (which gives 320 x 208 at 18fps) and use TCPMP player (a free player that is very flexible, supports lots of file formats and is great if you are stuck with Windows Media Player 8.0 on your pocket PC like me). Program works very well and produces good quality output even at 50%, though the sound is mono, but I don't mind that. Great download that fills a need I have had for some time, but no budget to fill it! Thanks Guys!

"unknown error" on first attempt to convert an avi file.
most probably due to the codec used, but shows a lack of error detection on a $30 product...

I downloaded as a test of a new download accelerator (Free Download Manager - http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/ ) DAP from speedbit seems to have a bug in 8.5 because I couldn't activate or extract Alien Shooter after almost an hour downloading it. Free Download Manager got this to work after DAP failed again.

I may have a mobile device soon.

Win XP Pro SP2.

It installed fine, activated fine but when I try to load a DVD it gives error message "Can't find any suitable video decoder". I thought one of the features was automatic codec download (I guess that is only for the phone?).

There is nothing in the built in help file and I haven't seen anything on the web site (yet, still looking) so I'm open to suggestions ...

#57 (Jesse B.) If you're truly seeking answers to your prayers and serious about getting your Dad totally well, before or after the heart transplant and you don't want you dad's body rejecting the new heart, you need to call me.

I have lots of people on a product you've probably never heard of that have had critical heart issues and are living today totally healthy like they never had anything wrong. This product changed my life and will change the lives everyone you know and know of, especially those people like your dad who everyone knows won't get better

Your Dad should get the transplant if that's the only thing you know will save his life for the time being, but let me show you how he can live the rest of his life free of any heart conditions through a product that is astonishing doctors everywhere. If you doubt what I say, I can provide you with an endless stream of evidence that I what I’m saying is true.
Whatever the condition, you will be astonished by the results you and everyone around you gets on this product.

I hate to see somebody needlessly suffer when I hold a key to what is helping 10’s of thousands of people live symptom free of chronic sickness and disease. I don't know of any other way to get hold of you on this forum except posting this message here. The last time I tried to put up my phone number it got deleted by the moderator and it did not get posted to protect my privacy, so I'll give you my email instead, you can email me I can give you my phone number that way. I just wish you knew what I know about what I have, you're Dad would probably not ever have to face a transplant in his life. Here's my email: runninghoove@gmail.com

In the interim, we're praying for your Dad. May God bless you through this difficult time, but keep in mind there is hope and there are answer to your prayers. What I have will change you and your Dad’s lives in ways you both cannot imagine.

For the record, installed and registered great on my PC and phone.
I just wish it was compatible with my S60v3 N80. One out of two ain't bad though. The P910 has a bigger screen, albeit not quite the clarity of the N80.
Thanks for a very welcome Symbian giveaway. I am happy.

#45 CJ, just to be clear the version offered here does not contain adware. #15 Mapi was referring to the freeware version. The version offered on GOTD today normally has to be purchased, it's not the freeware version.

#14 Garrey says, "(for those who like to watch movies the size of a Cheez-it)"

LMAO! One of the funniest comments ever. PCLoupe magnifier could help (freeware), too bad it won't run on a cell phone.

Oh well, probably wouldn't have used it anyways

You can download the product from Crystal Realities home page (see link below) and use the activation code that you get once you’ve clicked and cancelled the set up file. That is you must click on the set up file then immediately cancel the set up; the activation window will appear in a small window. Copy and paste this into a Word or WordPad document then install whichever file listed below is suitable for your mobile. The code will activate either of the two files that you find on the web page listed below:

I really don't know what this is or how it works but I have to thank GAOTD for all the "free" products they allow us to try. I will definitely download it and see what it is and if it works for me "GREAT" and if it isn't something I can use then "THANKS ANYWAY". When I really like something I'll try to help others decide by giving an accurate post - same if it's not a good program. I will not complain if it's just not for me as that is no way to show our appreciation for the offering which will never be right for everyone. Thanks GAOTD.

what's the maximum resolution size this program can convert to? Does it do VGA (640x480)? I'd like to watch on my VGA capable Pocket PC.

Does it do full DVD resolution (720x480)? I want to buy a UMPC; these which have a minimum screen resolution of 800x480 don't have integrated DVD drives, so ripping to a file would be great.

After 16 min 24 seconds of encoding time I was able to convert Borat for my Palm LifeDrive. The resultant file was 136MB however my LifeDrive manager converted it 367MB. The volume seems a little low and the video a wee bit jerky but totally watchable. Those might be problems (slight in any case) with the second conversion. In any case it works for me a definite keeper. Thanks GOATD and Crystal Reality!

works perfectly and videos play really well on my nokia 6680,i really like the crystal mobile player, the number keys have functions and u can invert the image or apply filters etc.i am just converting a dvd now(copy protected i assume!).it estimates 20 minutes and 200 mb file size, although u can choose file size or quality if you wan´t.you get to select language and specific chapters of the dvd too, seem really professional and i would like to recommend it to the people who have a suitable phone.
now what i would like is a program that can take the poor video images that my phone records and enhance them for watching on the pc!

It does try to contact home by installing a TEMP file on drive C, eventhough I downloaded & saved to another harddrive (G) partitioned for music, video, downloads, etc. I installed the program to run from drive G and activated fine by displaying a registration key and by giving my name.

Just a suggestion, I run Norton System Works bundle that allows me to create a firewall rule that I identify the software. So anytime this or any other program attempts a connection - I simply block it. It notifies me and I evaluate the action - including the source file(s).

Upgrading now to Norton 360 BTW since I can run upto 3 pcs connected to the internet with protection.

Now all programs will run from anything but drive C - so this is a plus for this one.

A person could modify the registry keys defined on the McAfee site to block action as stated by Mapi in 15, so thanks for the tip & info.

Just can't beat Symantec (Norton) products. 7 years now of excellent protection - never a virus with it's constant updates. Yes...I know but I didn't get a dime for this.

Thanks for the great software from this site GAoTD team. Nice to be able to try a product for more than 15 days and/or limited features as with most software.

And please, I read the posts - always good software for some and not always for everyone. So, If the complainers would learn to write programs as I did beginning in 1981 - they would appreciate this site and the developers more. I don't like to work for free and if I did give away a program - I wouldn't give to those who grip.

Thanks for reading this long post.
Ken
