@Cat Atkins - It should install automatically as a Photoshop plug-in. If it did not, or if you want to install the plug-in for other image editors, then look here: http://www.colorpilot.com/plugins_install.html

Installed fast and with no added hassle. Incredibly simple to use, with short automated and text descriptive tutorials. Those are both great points, but this software isn't gimmicky, it actually does what you might hope a photo manipulation program would do. The effects are noticeable and do not take incredible manual precision to create great looking manipulations/results.

Thanks for this one GAOTD!

Nice to see "good old" Two Pilots here again. :)
It's a trip down memory lane for me. - My first humble steps with photo retouching were done with Retouch Pilot / Wire Pilot in the early 90th.
Without doing any research, I dare to say, the Two Pilot software was earlier released, is better maintained and documented than most of those "FAR, FAR, WAY FAR better" freeware tools which are often just blindly suggested here.
Many thanks to Two Pilots for participating with another gem in the GOTD project.

I tested it on old Black & white photographs, In the soft focus mode, scratches & the like were gone. Very nice. It was a breeze to use. Downloaded & installed on windows 8. Thumbs up from me Thanks G.A.O.T.D

In all fairness the image size was 4912x7360 Nikon D800 36 MP. It seems beyond the software's ability to process in all modes

Beauty pilot is a must have for those who need to improve a facial image quickly. Years ago, I took several good photos of a relative but never sent them because I could not get the wrinkles out of her face. However, Beauty pilot took them out quickly with very acceptable results. The process was intuitive, especially, after reviewing the startup videos. Some distortion can come in but that can be reduced moving the cursor in a different direction. The program is worth it, if only for the “soft lens” feature.

Downloaded and installed w/o a problem. Opened an image, rotated it and zoomed in, changed eye color, softened some blemishes all without problems. Then I tried to use the "elastic" mode and got an out of memory error. The file wouldn't save. When I exited I go a windows error message about a memory leak. Win7 64 Home premium, i7 computer 8GB memory. Repeated process but saved after changing eye color. Then tried the elastic mode again and it caused the out of memory issue. A reluctant thums down

I have all of the Big Boys --Adobe, Corel, ACDsee Pro and I even sprang for Picnik. Today's giveaway is an EXCELLENT, entry-level tool that does what it does brilliantly and easily, although, of course, any of the professional tools mentioned can do more... BUT only after expending a lot of time, practice and SERIOUS money.

Great for quick "touchups", especially for the non-pro.

I challenge ANY novice/intermediate editor to get the same results with, for example, Adobe Photoshop's Liquify tool, that this little gem delivers effortlessly in a fraction of the time needed with the Big Boys.

Thanks Two Pilots and GOTD.

Giovanni: Got a better link to the "free" version of stylepix? Or did they take that one down from their site without asking your permission first? :P

~~

I think a lot of the ratings come from people reading about the software and then rating it on whether or not it might be useful to them, not on how well it worked after they downloaded and installed it. But when you mix the "I wouldn't ever use that" ratings with the "I installed it and here's what I think" ratings, you end up with a number that is not very helpful. So either GAOTD fixes the instructions or scripting so people only rate it after they've installed it, or the rating is useless.

Seriously people, the rating on the software only makes sense if you download the software, install it, try it out, and then come back to rate it. Stop rating it sight unseen based on how attractive the description is.

This is a Great Little Program, Many Features other than just for faces, Simple and easy to use, Can add text to Pictures as to help with copyright protection, and comes with a full featured help file and example videos built right in. Can be used both as a standalone program or a plugin. I think the price is a little steep for a program such as this, I would have let this go for anywhere from $14.99 to $19.99 would be more suitable in my opinion. This would be a great program to use in conjunction with another program from Teorex called Inpaint

Thumbs up from me !

You can get same results with any photo editing software.
Just enhance the colors on the red side and induce 5-10% blur or (soft enhance) and the looks are the same.

Simple and easy to use software for making subtle corrections to photos (both me, women, children and even dogs). I like the "Elastic" function, which makes it easy to shave pounds off a hefty face (or body) or add pounds to those who might need it. Although some of the improvements are limited, it is a useful tool for those who dabble in photography on an amateur and semi professional level. Another plus is that it can integrate nicely with Photoship as a plug-in. So this is a thumbs up for me. By the way, I love this type of giveaway. One of my faves is Perfect 365.

Reluctantly I have to give this a thumbs down, despite having high hopes for it when I began installing.
All went well until I tried to open a photo of Mrs. Bamboo. Beauty Pilot 2.5.2 refused to accept it, not that I blame it, as I've been doing the same thing for years.
Still, I was impressed that it eventually accepted a long shot of the missus walking away from the camera in a misty night, got to give it 5/10 for that!
Seems that Mrs Bamboo and beauty progs are incompatible, tell me about it. :(

I love GOTD, but the ratings and comment system is just silly. It's clear that people carelessly use the thumbs up/down system. Same for voting on the comments.

Much as I hate to say it, I think guys should consider requiring logins to vote up/down.

to Giovanni I agree this is a good program and wish the thumbs would be up more than down, however you posted some free alternatives and these program cost. 1 $65.00 and another almost $50.00 there is a free non pro offer that don't do as much. I respect most of your comments . infact I use most of your free offers, but this time you have fell me sorry.

Yes you are correct there are 24 time zones and people on the other side of the earth also download sofware here.

The only trouble with your theory is that the software is released at the same time everywhere.
What time it is in Texas and what time it is in Japan means nothing except that your clocks show a different time when the software is released.

I have and use a lot of photography software and was very doubtful about even downloading this offering based on the previous negative comments and the fact that I have a pretty comprehensive array of photo manipulating/correction/altering software BUT.

This one is different.

You can improve the look of any face(Men inc)by pulling the whole face up down & sideways with hardly any distortion, as long as you are careful. I don't have any software that does the same as well as this.

It is useful to keep just for fat or ugly people that turn up in your photos and for correcting/ improving the natural ageing effects of life, by getting rid of sagginess, puffiness, Etc.

Also TWO PILOTS free offering (Exif Pilot Editor - above) has many uses and is good just as a quick & convenient photo viewer (Use up&down keys)

Both keepers for me so thanks to GAOTD and the publishers, Two Pilots.

I've just tried this and I have to say that, within it's limits, it impressed!

If you don't have, or have trouble using, one of the high end photo manipulators like Photoshop, this is for you.

I tried it on several pics that weren't very flattering to the subject and the results were very good.

It's easy to use (watch the demos) with no real learning curve.

This does exactly what it claims to do. Excellent, simple, tutorials on opening screen make it easy to understand how to use the software. I was able to touch up a picture with great results. Easy installation too. I did not care for the look of adding text to the picture.

I have not used this type of software before, so I have nothing to compare it to. It will be a very useful tool for me.

High hopes for this program as I have experienced their excellent “Form Pilot,” a great tool for job hunters when doing all that form filling.
I wasn't disappointed; the soft focus tool is very easy-to-use and quite subtle in the changes it makes, in fact none of the tools make drastic changes and this allows for greater control, it also means quite a bit more work is required than in some programs, the gain being it does not look too artificial.

Great, now the grandkids can look at a photograph of me without first needing sedation!

This is almost identical to Retouch Pilot by the same company, which was given away in January. It's true, and will be pointed out ad nauseum, that there are freeware that perform the same tasks. This program, though, is very easy to use and has an excellent assortment of quick video tutorials for each function. It works quite well for the most part - no miracles, but with a little fiddling, I was getting excellent results. I especially liked the Elastic tool, which allows you to slim down or plump up parts of your photo and isn't always included in the many freeware alternatives that will be thrown around today.

The thirty dollar price tag may seem a bit steep when you consider those freeware choices, but it's not outrageous when you consider how easy it is to use and how well it works on photos that don't require a professional touch. Definitely a keeper in my opinion.

Thank you Two Pilots and GOTD!

Very good, thank you.
Tried it on a photo of a girl.
You can adjust the level of change.
I set it at mark4 out of mark10.
Make changes slowly and localised in small patches. Result is better that way.

After the so-called "activation" by the Setup.exe file.
Looked at the registration data and there is no indication of Registration User Name, Organisation and Registration Code.

We will take the GOTD software developer's word for it that the software is properly activated.

@5 uhm...no, all timezones get the new software at the same time as the international/US page which is 9am GMT+1 for me, 3AM in NY, midnight in LA. You actually know how GOTD works? maybe check the sites in "other timezones" and you notice the remaining download time is the same for US, Russian, Greek, Japan... etc etc

66% THUMBS DOWN?

Come on...there are some idiots here who, for mysterious reasons, are committed to randomly rate any software here almost on a daily basis giving tons of THUMBS DOWN for no reasons.

Please stop manipulating the GAOTD rating system or everything will go to the dogs here.

This GAOTD is a very good image editor helping you quickly adjust any picture (no just women's faces...LOL!) taken with a digital camera!

It comes with tons of unique features, that cannot be found elsewhere, such as the tool called "Elastic", which enables you to retouch even body shapes and other objects.

SERIOUSLY....
Pros:
*It's Free for today for GOTD visitors

Cons
*It's not Free everyday
*They actually charge for this software, that any other image program can do just as easily
*This must have been developed by the two pilots caught trying to fly the plane a few years back, drunk. And, they're trying to recoup their attorney fees

You could do FAR, FAR, WAY FAR better putting the same amount of money (if you were to pay for this) into a normal image program. As for Free, you can still do FAR, FAR, WAY FAR better.

lol only a few seconds in and already positive and negative thumbs?
unpacked and installed fine, no need to put in serial, the about however will not give a "licensed to" info, it stays blank. This might confuse some people. I suspect it's registered since there is no place to fill in a key and I get no trial messages.

I find it highly disturbing that, though the description says it's for female pictures, male pictures can be worked on as well. The program does not go ballistic after inserting my old face in there.

when starting up you get the option to view some small tutorials, don't be alarmed if you see your mousepointer suddenly move. I saw no option to stop the tut during it's play but I also not looked that far, it could be as simple as hitting the escape.

nice little piece of software that is rather simple to use.

Pros
*Remove skin imperfections, change eye color, hide fat, and more
*Has undo/redo
*Works with popular image formats
*Can be used as standalone program or as plugin for Photoshop

Cons
*Is not a magic wand. Performance varies highly depending on photo being modified.
