Can I still use this pro version later back if i do reformatt of my computer?

I have a basic free version now and if i want to install this version, i need to uninstall the basic free version first right?
So if i uninstall that does my already hide file will be lost?

Easy and simple to install and use on a single PC, but... how to open a hidden USB stick file (or folder) on another computer ? Should the program be installed (and purchased) on that computer also ?
