I will continue to use Winx HD video version 5.16.8. Today the movie "Shazam Fury of the Gods (2023) converted to an M2TS file, size 12,993,832 kB. This movie was downloaded yesterday via Frostwire. So the older version still works excellently.

I don't use it for video conversion (ffmpeg from the command line is my thing, though not recommending that route to people), but it has a good video downloader, e.g. to download higher-res videos which some others won't do, so I'd definitely recommend it for that EXCEPT Giveaway versions later than 5.16.2 don't do the full range of services, so you can't check if it works for you. So thumbs up for the paid version, thumbs down for the Giveaway as it's too limited to test well.

FWIW, for input / output WinX HD Video Converter Deluxe is a front end for ffmpeg. The advantage of using ffmpeg from the command line or prompt is that you have the full range of variable encoding settings, while apps like today's GOTD limit you to the settings that are baked in.
