Well, I hate to be a buzzkill, but Open Office is free, and it's 100% compatible with MS Office, and you can open, edit, and save Microsoft Word files. So this is pretty much a non issue.

Hmm?
View and review? I know the meaning of both words but not sure what review means in this context. I presume you can't write on the document you are viewing so does this mean this is software just to enable me to digitally sign a document written by another?
If you just want to view a word document, microsoft already provide a viewer for free.

David Murphy, You summed up my sentiments exactly.

Not wishing to discourage this developer in its efforts, but if a large multiple-site business within which inter-departmental .doc / .docx exchange and management is routine can afford today's business-oriented Vole Word Reviewer Professional, then it can certainly afford Microsoft's product licensing.
Thanks, then, for the offer, but I'll pass because in my own case, this business-user product addresses a need that doesn't exist in the national / international business for which I happen to work, and as a consumer product is overkill for ordinary everyday usage when plenty of word processor freeware already handles Microsoft file types.
In exchange for the generosity shown here though, could I suggest that if Sanwhole is serious about courting business users with its commercial portfolio then it should get serious about its own business.
The bonkers rigmarole of its "free upgrade" procedure speaks less of assured professionalism as hapless amateurism, resulting in a corporate image which regardless of the quality of Sanhole's products is never going to entice a business user. . . and may even alienate quite a few home users, too.
