You can download DaVinci Resolve for free and it's one of the best ones out there. In fact DaVinci has been around for decades and has evolved into a fully featured professional system, it can be as simple or as complicated as you make it.

I am unlucky, uninstalled version 1.0.16, to see if 1.0.18 is 'better'. First time for me, that if your email is used, you can't get a fresh new key. Tried my other email, but locked due to the same IP number.

With powerfull free video editors like Capcut (Windows, MacOS, Androis, iOS) or Videoproc Vlogger Windows MacOS), there is no space for video editor with annual rent. From my point of view of course.
And these editors are far away from this one in term of creativity.
