Before playing a video or movie on my computer, I shut down everything else, such as browsers. When I start the video player, I don't want to have the browser open up again. I already know where my player came from, and I am not in the mood or mindset to alter my plans to see what is available on a website that just interrupted my video viewing. Instead, I'm ready to watch my video/movie with no interruptions. So why does Vidmore Player open the home website each time it starts.

Vidmore Player is a good player whose main claim to fame is managing DVD & Blu-ray DRM. It does not however play the Java-based menus &/or features on a retail Blu-ray disc -- for that you need something like PowerDVD. The VLC player it seems to be partially based on has more features, but you have to remove DVD or Blu-ray DRM before it will play them properly. MPC-HC is another free player that like VLC cannot handle DRM, but with features that might increase the visual quality playing video, e.g., including the LAV Filters.

How is this better than or even equal to free options like VLC or WMP? This app seems to lack sound adjustment and improvement options.
