Additional comment, called support, quick telephone answer, the young lady confirmed that I needed to uninstall all the SQL folders. Their live telephone support was quick and very respectful. Just can't get the program to install. I will pass on this one.

Win 7 Ultimate 64bit, installer says conflict with Microsoft SQL Server Compact, uninstall this folder. I uninstalled SQL folder, install again get same error. TrackOFF installs SQL folder in Program x86, TrackOFF folder but it is empty.. No other SQL folders on computer. Went to winsxs and uninstalled amd64 and x86 SQL Manifests, still will not install, SQL error. Anti virus, malware, firewall all are off. What is next?

Long-winded registration process and once installed it really screwed things up, blocked my browsers prevented some applications running and heavy on resources ... What a load of rubbish (being polite here) as already pointed out Chrome and most other browsers have the ability to block tracking anyway... $17.47 you gotta' be kidding, we should be paid for our wasted time.

Win 10 64b - Installed without problems even after reboot. So far so good - haven't seen anything unusual yet - however still early days as things that can go wrong often takes time before you actually notice it. However, on a positive note everything good for now. Certainly won't pay $35 p/a when license expires in 6 months time. They will have to seriously re-consider their pricing to get me interested in paying for an annual license.

Firstly, a convoluted registration process-you need to get a promo code then get a registration code and then enter it into the software-really! Installed and setup and appeared to work as expected then I did a reboot...oh boy! that's when my troubles really started. Slowed my PC to a crawl (Win 10 x64 Home) and caused havoc with my browsers which if I was able to launch at all would crash. Other programmes wouldn't launch and task manager struggled. I eventually managed to get Revo Uninstaller Pro launched to get this crap of my PC. I also removed MS Server SQL which TrackOFF had installed as part of its installation process. Very frustrated and disappointed. :(

TrackOFF utilizes Microsoft SQL Server Compact to store some information, such as your preferences and detected tracking attempts. If you removed Microsoft SQL Server Compact upon installation, TrackOFF will not function correctly an will throw numerous errors.
I recommend you run the installer again to resolve these issues or call our free support line at 1-888-702-7633 for live guidance.

The best VPN on the market is ExpressVPN, I also use Maxa cookie manager and ccleaner, antimalwarebytes and anti exploit, secureAplus along with microsoft defender. There is no tracking me!

Another piece of rentalware, this time something that certainly lives up to its "Basic" name and offered here as a 6-month trial before signing up to a recurring annual charge of $35 becomes necessary.
The developer's "Elite" version appears to offer more in the form of VPN browsing for $60 recurring but even then, a host of freeware tools -- everything from AdBlock to NoScript to Ghostery etc et al -- abound, as do free but limited data allowance protections from (for example) VPN providers like TunnelBear and sundry others.
Though the developer makes much of unwanted ads persistently dogging the tracks of a computer user, I've never suffered any such intrusion nor have any friends or family members, most likely because they're not asleep at the wheel and have instead made sure they've turned everything off in their account preferences (Google especially), don't allow DNS leakages when in VPN mode, either, and mop up cookies with a quick wipe after a browsing session.
Attempted tracking will always occur but as the ad industry itself is well aware, an Internet audience which allows itself to be tracked isn't the considerably higher-value audience it actually wants to track.
To give the impression then, as this developer does, that here's a problem of significant dimension is really too alarmist for comfort; to charge a rental fee for the 'Basic' version offered as a trial today, downright baffling. Thanks GOTD, but no thanks.

There are a multitude of browser add-ons, freeware tools, and system configurations you could make to approximate some of the functionality of TrackOFF.
What we seek to provide is an all-in-one solution that allows the average user to keep there online experience secure from a single point of control. You also need to ask yourself, why are those other services free in the first place? TrackOFF doesn't collect and sell your identifiable information like some other do.
Some people are perfectly fine with being tracked online, having ads targeted at them, and having their personal information collected and commodified. For anyone who isn't comfortable with all that, we encourage them to give TrackOFF a try.

Be aware that websites are fighting back against this kind of software, by blocking access to their web pages. At the very least, they are creating popups whining and crying about their need for money, and that you are hurting them with your software. Oh, boo hoo.

We use SQL Server Compact to write a small amount of information to a SQL Lite database. This information is just stuff like your preferences, subscription status, and number of tracking attempts detected. All this information is keep local on your computer and never communicated back to TrackOFF or anyone else.

Ghostery firefox and chrome addon can also stop trackers.
There're plenty of cleaning cache and cookies addons.
I just don't know what this one does what addons can't.
