The Trim function works well and is easy to follow.
It has a "rotate" that doesn't work correctly. I was looking for this function due to sometimes ending up with sideways videos recorded on my phone. However, when I drag sideways videos to the app, they appear in the correct 16x9 horizontal format like there's nothing wrong with the video. That means, when you go to the "rotate" editor, you can't see that the video is sideways and if you try to rotate the video to correct it, the output preview turns sideways. Then when you apply the "fix" to the video, the output ends up horizontal as it should, but the video is really small inside a large black border. So it's putting the rotated video inside the space previously ocupied by the sideways video. So the 16x9 video is inside the 9x16 space of the sideways video.
The 3D, Crop and Effect appear to work well.
I tried Enhance to upscale and optimize a video, but couldn't really tell a difference. And I see that Tipard left a comment saying "our software enables you to preview the enhance/upscale result before you covert the video", but I don't see a way to do that. The Enhance tab just has a before and after picture of a wind surfer as an example and the effect is either off or on by checkbox, but doesn't change anything on that tab. There's a preview window on the main app window, but it's pretty small, so I don't think you'll be able to tell a difference there.

Thank you to those who responded to my question with good information rather than a stupid remarks. I think my old laptop is underpowered for the task and would exhaust itself for long periods for uncertain results. I wanted to upscale some old tv series but the project is too ambitious I think

Okay, I gave it a try on a six minute video. Upgraded the resolution from 640x480 to 1280x720. Completed in a little over 8 minutes on a five year old i7 computer with 16Mb RAM and a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti graphics card, which isn't particularly fast considering it's five years old as well. Wasn't able to intuitively see how to view the two videos side by side but couldn't tell any difference. Please remember this is only a single instance, and may not reflect the capabilities of this software. It would help if others would respond with their experience using the software.

Any answers would be purely subjective. Tipard Video Enhancer can enhance video, but enhancing video requires re-encoding that video, which Always loses some of the original's quality. The same for making the frame size bigger. And that quality loss is more noticeable the lower the quality of the original. Regarding how long processing video takes, it depends on the hardware you're using, the original and final frame sizes, the length of the video, the input & output video compression, the encoder settings, and whatever processing you're doing to the video.
The only one who can judge the results is you, but it doesn't have to take a long time to find out either... rather than processing an entire video, run short clips through the Video Enhancer, say 30 seconds or a minute, and look at the results trying various settings. When you get results you like, multiply the time it took by the length of the video to get an approximation, e.g., if it took a minute to process a minute long clip, and the complete video is 30 minutes long, it'll take about 30 minutes to process the entire file.
