Thanks for the offer of trying your S/W Tipard..
Slow loading of media files.
The preview didn't work on every video I loaded (possibly related to size/resolution of original).
Changed some videos to a smaller 'letter box' with large black boarders.
Burn result was good and nice to be able to download so many free menu templates...

Has anyone figured out how to customize DVD menus yet? I feel like the instructions are referring to a different version, or talking about buttons that just aren't there.

The only interest i see in DVDs is that they are cheap, 1 dollar for one that can store up to 4.7 GB, while a 4 GB USB stick will cost about 8 dollars. So if you want to give them away, they are cheap. Other than that ...
And i would not use them as a storage unit, after a few months they will get get scratched or corrupted and you won't be able to read them, especially the writable ones you have to use.

I will go to the trouble of burning a DVD when I feel like it. Is that answer good enough for you.
Ask me why and maybe I will answer. Or bath in your ignorance. Your choice!

Marty, This is meant for Daniel who believes that there is no value to burning a DVD.

Marty, just as you replied to your own comment, you could have Reply'd to Daniels comment directly and kept it in his blinkered little thread.

Who will go to the trouble of burning to a DVD? It's just old-fashioned today.

Daniel Peeters,
Just because you won't use it, don't assume others won't; this sort of software is useful to distribute my amateur drama group productions.

CG, There is such a thing as memory carriers whose quality will be much better than a DVD bound to a 720x576 pixel image format.

Daniel Peeters, So the fact that some of us have use for DVDs somehow bothers you? I burned a beauty that I am mailing to a friend who was on Jeopardy this year. Yes, I pirated a Jeopardy episode and am mailing it to my friend. US Mail, too. So why do you have a problem that I get pleasure by sending my friend (who forgot to DVR it) a gift?

Daniel Peeters, You can burn images greater than 720 onto a dvd....You dont know what youre talking about and this will burn to blue ray as well which you can burn HD onto.... Learn before opening your mouth.

Daniel Peeters,
I'm sure there might be, but there's also the fact that not everyone has the latest hi-tech equipment to playback anything else.
Save | Cancel
Daniel Peeters, No it is not old fashioned. Places put long term storage data on DVD's for safe keep than placing it on a USB stick/SSD. Why? Because a USB stick/SSD gives no warning it is about to burnout and once it is gone, it's gone.
If you don't burn DVD's, that's your preogative. But do not assume others don't.

Daniel Peeters, using your terminology... not everyone is a slave to the latest fashion, especially when it is not relevant! Archiving VHS to Video-DVD is still done even today! ignoring the Blu-ray authoring features too. I'd be more adverse to the expiring license on a desktop program as the big negative for this product not what it's capable of!
