I like screensavers that are actually a little more realistic instead of cartoony but I will give this one a try hopefully the next one you offer will be realisti.. I really can not understand how our visitors to this website can be so negative. The majority just must to IT savy for such software as these. I myself appreicate when these type of offering's are made and I really would like to thank Astra for their giveaways.

My family and I enjoy them for what they are and understand they are not the top of the line in most cases of these offerings.

I salute them for keeping to offer their products, especially when the majority of the time they seem to receive mostly negative comments.

It's always a happy day when one of these seasonal screensavers is on GOTD! Thanks so much GOTD and Astro Gemini! I don't know why all the haters come out in droves for the screensavers. They are my favorites. Furthermore, IT'S FREE! You don't have to download it! And there's 363 other days of FREE software featured here! I can't believe these people. Not realistic enough? Screen savers are no good anymore? This screensaver is awesome and if you don't like it you don't have to use it, but it's lovely.

I downloaded this a few years ago on my XP machine when it was offered on GAOTD before. It is a very well done screensaver. The resolution is very high, almost to the point of unreal clarity. If you are into screensavers at all, it is well worth the downnload!

I used to love ASTRO GEMINI screen savers. They seem to be decreasing in Quality lately. Galaxy & Planet earth 3D I thought were fantastic. This one looks like it's been created by a newbe.

I really must give credit where credit is due, I really cannot understand these negative comments as I find this screen saver excellent. I have a Vista 32bit machine and it was quick to unload and set up, and worked first time. It was smooth in operation, and the 3D graphics are good. Only critism is that the music is poor but a good suggestion might be to have some country music, or hill billy music would really make this a number one download.

I think this programe works best on a 32bit machine, that is why others may have found problems, so a suggestion might be separate versions, (this version for 32bit machines, and another version for 64bit machines and others)
Before release of any programes or indeed anything for sale, these must be tried and tested. This is what is called "Quality Control" and it would save negative contacts and generate sales into the process.

It says it's unregistered, how do I fix this??

installed run OK W7x64 , a little annoying but very amusing , can turn it on or off at will, doesn't use resource unless you let it. keep until better comes along thank-you

All in all this is lovely. I agree with some of the other comments regarding the angles, music, etc.: the developer should address these concerns in their next edition.

Downloading was within seconds via WiFi, and the screensaver was already registered with gotd. Thanks for that.

Whilst this may not been intended for the U.K. market, I like it anyway. But I must point out that the Thanksgiving holiday was on October 10th this year, so this is a bit late. Better late than never.

Installed perfect, looks great, let me turn music off in settings, really good screen saver. Enjoy for free!!!

In a way, it's kinda nice that there are no comments on this. It spares me the whining that, in an age of MASSIVE hard drive, screen savers waste space. This one is standard for the genre. The renditions run from excellent to child like. It would be nice if you could control how many irritating little birds keep zipping around the barn. The main things to remember with any of these is 1. It's free. 2. You can delete it anytime you find a better Thanksgiving screen saver, if you want to. The program isn't really big enough to worry about.

Evening all. I'm glad of having another cool screen saver. The downloading, installation was quite easy. It selects the exact directory for installation which I would have used. It's preregistered, both GREAT features.

This sets itself as the default screen saver, without first asking (unless I missed something). It shouldn't do that. But, not to worry as I changed it back after previewing from the same point as previewing under Window$ Vi$ta.

Overall, the scenery is quite nice. Mostly, the angles and views are great, but there are just a few problems: a few extreme angles, one of which it looks like a tree is leaning 60 degrees to the right. I love the farm animals and vehicles, and how they move about!

The graphics on this one are pretty poor. The turkeys looked downright creepy.

Thank you, Astro Gemini and GOTD. I enjoy experimenting with screen savers and appreciate that you give me the chance to do it for free. This one downloaded and installed on my older XP system with no problems. It doesn't seem to negatively affect system performance in any way. There's a nice selection of scenes and it should be especially fun for kids. If you're hosting the family this Thanksgiving, this screensaver will help set the mood.

Folks, it's time to say this again -- if you don't like, need or want the offering of the day, just get on with your life and resist the urge to leave a thumbs down for something you didn't even try. Developers provide free software as advertising, yes, but they also want to know what works and what doesn't work. Giving software a thumbs down just because you're unhappy with the type of software is not constructive. We need to encourage developers to participate, not discourage them by being petty and unhelpful.

I enjoyed this from a previous GAOTD, maybe a few years ago? Very good music, many things to watch. It was one of my favorite screen savers and it's good to get it again! Many thanks GAOTD and Astro Gemini.

For those who like Screen Savers , this one is decent , nice graphics, Music isn't to bad, would be nice if you could add your own music.I installed on windows 7 64 bit ,with no problems I use a 32" LED Monitor & it looks great. A keeper for me.

As with all astrogemini screensavers, this one is great. Delightful, laid-back, moving farm images, some real 3D effects and realistic farm animal sounds. Thanks so much, astrogemini + GAOTD!

Description:
The charming screensavers from Astro Gemini cannot be described as being "Realistic" by todays 3D gaming stadards, but the low-poly-count farm with triangular turkeys has it's charm. It's rendered 3D rather than cinematic cut scenery. The environment is fully 3D rendering and switches view every few seconds with a little meandering country music playing. As a novice description, I guess it's just a basic fiddle, banjo, snare, base line melody playing along with some farm animal noises.

I loved the cheesy Halloween screensaver, and these are fun little giveaways. Although a lot of people here are aparently not interested in screensavers, it's a nice little background scene and I'm sure they are hoping to generate some interest in their other quaint holiday screensavers.

Installs easily, but I am a bit curious that the license agreement refers to it as distributable shareware.

The FPS display and clock have the on/off display option check box. In my opinion they are a little distracting and take from the basic immersion of the screensavers that they offer - I just turn them off.


Criticisms:
I am disappointed in the frequency of the viewpoint transition, it's casual meandering views that change way too quickly. While I like the charming little farm, the camera view changes are busy and feel forced.

Conclusion:
Give it a try - it's not a bad little program, and it works like it's supposed to. Slow down, enjoy the breeze and take in quaint little view of country life, and if you are set back by some chunky vectorizin', well that's a doggone shame.

Installed and for some reason the red house has no walls. Installed a second time and still no walls. It's as if the image is missing from the wire frame. Strange. Otherwise, everything else seems to work.

Installed on Windows 7, 64 bit. No problems. Overall I like it. Plenty of Turkeys "gliding" around, one pony, and other occasional farm noises like cows. Not crazy about the music, especially the banjo. Probably because I hate country music. I think it was around 4 or 5 minutes before I started seeing the same things over.

It's a pretty good fall-themed screensaver even for those outside the US, although here it's starting to look more like winter than fall.

Those who have tried other Astro Gemini screensavers in the past will have an idea of what to expect with the graphics and animation. The music could get a little annoying though.

This is a delightful screen saver especially if you have young children or grand children. Best of all today you get it for free!

Very colorful, lots of activity, but graphics are dated and not very realistic. 3Planesoft just released theirs, high-quality graphics but uninspired.

cute, but annoying:
Scene interesting but short repeat.
quite jerky instead of even. Not noticeable in the turkeys, but in the plane -- at one spot then in 2 secs jumped 1/2 inch away
too quick on the fade to black and flash into next picture
Music -- I turned off speakers in 45 seconds
