Purchased the lifetime deal. Great conversion tools.

Its about time a retailer like TGMore that lets you register and activate the software with your own info. No more paranoid 30 digit key code to remember.

Does this software work fully/correctly under Windows XP 32-bit SP3 which is not listed in the system requirements?

Someone mentioned it installed under XP, but it wasn't clear if everything worked properly. Someone please let me know before the giveaway time period is over. Thanks.

@Mike said:

"DVDFab is not as good for the USA anymore.
DVDFab for the USA no longer has decryption capability."

The above is only true as regards Blu-ray.
DVDFab still decrypts DVD in its USA version.

@Mike (post #13),

Older versions of DVD-Fab still work fine in the USA for most titles, unless you are working with more recent or current titles all of the time. It was really just a couple companies that were doing much new that defied older decryption for DVDs . . . and I don't do much with BR titles anyway. (The answer would be different for that.) You can still find these older versions of Fab or HD Decrypter. Although I have access to later versions, I rarely find myself needing a Fab later than ver. 8.xxx. They also made the user interface much worse -- inconvenient, and harder to find what you're looking for -- after ver. 9.something. You can read about this and other such things in the Reviews section at Videohelp.com.

#3: "It calls itself a DVD converter rather than DVD Ripper, this made me wonder if video files could be imported. I modified the default file types and it allowed to import various video file formats, however it would not let me proceed any further, not sure if this is because it’s XP or if it applies to later versions of the OS. I’ve no use for a program of this type as it’s years since I bought a DVD as the quality is so poor when compared to modern video compression systems."

The input of most rippers is restricted to the type of discs it handles, DVD &/or Blu-Ray. If folks want to use just one conversion app, it may make more sense for them to buy a copier or decrypter to get the disc on their hard drive, then use the conversion software on that -- sometimes you might need to use a free app to extract the audio & video 1st, depending on your preferred conversion software.

As far as DVD quality goes, & in defense of all who still watch them, with the exception of the subtitles, if you use a decent player the average DVD looks about as good as SD & HD digital cable premium channels on a decent HDTV. The quality of Netflix & other streaming sources depends on the Internet bandwidth you get while streaming -- bandwidth is often less than ideal for many folks, making something like Netflix look about the same as a DVD or worse. OTOH a DVD probably isn't going to look as good as the Blu-Ray version of the same movie, if you want to bother with the hassles of Blu-Ray.

Newer methods of video compression are more efficient, but that efficiency has nothing directly to do with quality itself. More efficiency means smaller files -- smaller files take less bandwidth to move over a network or cable, and take up less space. If you have high quality 1080p video you can put it on a Blu-Ray with a bandwidth of say 20-30 using mpg2 [same as DVDs] or AVC, & it looks the same -- the difference is you can fit more of the AVC video on the Blu-Ray disc. If you encode that 1080p video, or a 720p version of it, using AVC with a lower bit rate, say about the DVD max of ~9-10, the file can be small enough to fit on a DVD DL -- at that lower bit rate mpg2 might not look as good, & being less efficient, wouldn't fit. AVC [H.264] & the newer H.265 also have higher processing demands -- if/when space isn't a problem, the older mpg2 can be preferred.

That said, there's not a lot of software available that does a great job encoding mpg2. And most Android devices have electronics tailored to AVC. Use a poor mpg2 encoder, or try to play mpg2 on typical Android devices, and you might not be happy.

The #5 comment by black kindly included a link to an article listing free DVD rippers -- those listed either are feature limited or don't do DRM.

Handbrake -- good converter but no DRM handling.
WinX DVD Ripper -- see comparison for limitations of free version http://www.winxdvd.com/dvd-ripper/#Title2 .
DVDFab HD Decrypter -- will not handle DRM on latest discs.
DVD Shrink -- Is Not a Ripper -- will re-encode DVD without DRM to DVD format.
Format Factory -- like Handbrake it's a converter without DRM capabilities.
Freemake Video Converter -- same as Handbrake & Format Factory, no DRM.
.

#13: "DVDFab is not as good for the USA anymore.
DVDFab for the USA no longer has decryption capability."

.
AFAIK the only issues were with Blu-Ray DRM -- when it comes to Blu-Ray contact them &/or check their forum for the latest. My understanding is that there are also some limitations in the trial download using a US ip address, which can be got around by using a proxy or the TOR browser etc.

@Karl: Thank you for the answer. As I said: On my system the program started but don´t opened a disc. So I could not test it.

@TDMore Software: Only to write registry infos and make settings NO program that I have installed in the last years needs a restart! Only SW that comes with drivers or codecs etc. need this. I think I tested a lot of "DVD-Ripper" in the last time (from here and other sites) but there was never a restart to do...

Installed and registered without problems on a Win 8.1 Pro 64 bit system.

A software without out bells and whistles, with help and support files, all of which is good.

Tested the movie Client List, started at 11:00AM finished at 11:10AM.
Chose High Quality and AVI output, all else default settings.

Upon completion a dialog box opens saying process completed successfully.....

And also saying.....Save up to 30% with GOTD Special offer!.....which of course is a link to their website for a host of deals.....never encountered that in a software before.
Expires on October 20th 2014.

The output was three files...in TDMore DVD Converter software Video folder, the default output folder.

1)THE_CLIENT_LIST.Title1.....1,057,980 KB
2)THE_CLIENT_LIST.Title1.....128 KB
3)THE_CLIENT_LIST.Title1.....11,376 KB

A high quality avi output in less than fifteen minuets.
I don't have any software like this, so this will be definitely a keeper for me.

TDMore I took the decision to try your software and do this detailed assessment because of the response to enquiries about your software by users, potential users on this Forum, by your Team.....keep the good work.

Thank You TDMore and Thank You GOATD!

How you tested it in your virtual system? The program wants a restart.

A good and valid question. Of course I cannot restart. I would loose the program. So I always enter "restart later" and look, what the program does. In my case the program starts without problems & without restart, opens a disk and converts it. So I wrote my short comment.

@howyoudone The softwarwe requires you to reboot the system because it needs to write registry info in your system and complete some setting to make a proper function enviroment for the software. Before we released the installer, we have got the installer scanned by many anti-virus software to ensure it safe for all users. You may just try to reinstall the software and restart your system as it requires. If you still have any other problems, please contact us for support or leave a message on TDMore facebook fanpage. We will help you out as soon as possible.

I did the trial & liked this software.
A note to Giovanni . most of the time you are spot on with the freebies.
DVDFab is not as good for the USA anymore.
DVDFab for the USA no longer has decryption capability.
So the TDMore products provide a good alternative.

@Fulltilt It does not need any other third party software to decrypt discs, it has decrypter inside to work independently. You may try it out with discs you have.

Does it work as a decrypter also,or do you need a secondary program operating in the background ?

Thanks. But... yet another video convertor that does not provide HTML5 Video as an output option. Inexcusable in a new entrant to the field.

This one could not read my Hunger Games - Catching Fire disc. DVDFab has no problem with it. I refuse to continue 'testing' a product that cannot get past the first disc. Thumbs down, especially with the abundence of freeware out there that can do the job on the first try.

Is there a reduced functionality/any functionality at all, when the one (1) year license for this software expires?

Just like Karl said, another new multimedia software developer. But still I didn't see the necessity of paying for a DVD conversion tool as a handful of freeware are available: http://www.techsupportalert.com/best-free-dvd-ripper.htm

Pretty decent app designed to extract video and audio streams from a DVD (entire movies or specific titles/chapters) and save them to the HD of your PC as clips or audio files before converting them to a suitable file for smartphones, tablets, IOS etc...

Can also create 3D videos from 2D DVD movie

So overall, for what it does, it deserves a THUMBS UP!

BEST (and in my view BETTER) FREE ALTERNATIVES:

Enjoy! ^_^

Installed and registered and opened, this in spite of the fact that XP is not shown as supported.
It calls itself a DVD converter rather than DVD Ripper, this made me wonder if video files could be imported.
I modified the default file types and it allowed to import various video file formats, however it would not let me proceed any further, not sure if this is because it's XP or if it applies to later versions of the OS.
My only reason for the test was to see if it could be installed in XP; I've no use for a program of this type as it's years since I bought a DVD as the quality is so poor when compared to modern video compression systems.
Surprisingly it requested a system restart after installation, instead I uninstalled it.

Installed and registered on Win7-64bit. (It was crashed for the first time and works well for the second time, but do not find the reason.)

Pros
1.Detects any DVD on your disc drives automatically
2.Excellent choice of output profiles, organized by codec and device.
3.Allows you to extract the audio streams.
4.Convert 2D DVDs to 3D videos.
4.Offers H.265 video output.

Cons
1.High occupancy rate of system.
2.It crashed twice during test

Installed and registered without problems on a Win 8.1 Pro 64 bit system. The disclaimer lists under point 10 the used opensoure parts and their developers. That’s good. Remember, that this is a one years license!

A company without name & address. We had as their first product their TDMore DVD Copy 1.0 on August 2nd. Of course … This is something special!

TDMore, established in June, 2014, is a new professional DVD and Blu-ray copy and converter brand. TDMore rises in response to the rapid development of entertainment industry and the high requirement of DVD enthusiasts.

A brand new group with a brand new software in version 1.0.0.5 on a settled and aged market. They dare to enter in this market.

The software has valid certificates from http://www.comodo.com/business-security/code-signing-certificates/code-signing.php.

A dark resizable window opens, A window without gimmicks. Concentrating on opening a DVD, once entered a DVD it shows a converter window.

They have included the H.265 Encoder to convert DVDs to 2D & 3D MP4 H.265 or MKV H.265 Videos.

This software makes already in the version 1.0.0.(5) a professional impression. In a short test, it does what it claims.

It is nice to see a fresh company with software products, which look at least better than a lot of long time existing producers.

Uninstalled via reboot, I am not a collector of converter programs.
