It doesn't update your software but instead it just takes you to where you can update your own software manually.

Useful for some I expect.

Good news, if you have an older version installed.

I had the giveaway of April this year and just ran the program and hit the update button. Once done, go to Help -> About and fill in from the Readme, that you downloaded today. The program is valid and updated.

It will be really hard for anything to beat Driver Easy, which is about as good as it gets, but I will give this a chance and report back later. Thanks GAOTD.

Ok, I tried it and this is a winner. Driver Easy has been great for me for even the most obscure hardware drivers. However, this did a fantastic job inventorying all my added programs and utilities. I am impressed. I will probably go ahead and subscribe based on what I have seen so far. Definitely recommending this one.

Does it tell what software NOT to update because to do so will void the Giveaway of the Day free use?

bj , I would think that you have the option to choose which software to update. The description above states, "Ignore list: only tracks software YOU want to track".

bj , I found that not to be the case so maintain a list of GOTD program Readme(s) text file. If Sumo alerts to a new, unfamiliar update, I check the list and select delete or ignore (if it's on the list).

bj , no but it shows a list of software for which updates are available and it's up to you whether you choose to update any. Clicking on each takes you to the official site to download the updates. Besides, I am sure you know which software in your system are time-limited giveaways. Just avoid updating those.

Richard Maialetti, you open the zip, install and get a pop up window for putting there the username and licence code. This both you find in the readme file. I just finished it and it went smoothly.
