PROBLEM-installed OK but registration failed. I entered the serial # (using cut & paste to get it correct) but I get an error "invalid license data". Any one have a suggestion to correct this?

After I installed Sumo Pro 5.12, I looked but could not find the 'Buy KCleaner Pro' button and could not input the license data. There is no button that says 'Buy KCleaner Pro'.

What am I missing?

This software is beyond mediocre.

I'm always on the lookout for software that does a better job than the apps I already use.

Immediately after installing SUMo, I ran an update scan. Out of probably 100+ apps I have on my PC, guess how many SUMo identified as requiring updates. Zero! Zilch. Nada.

Then I ran Iobit's Software Updater which found 3 programs with outdated versions in need of updates.

Next I ran Glarysoft / Filepuma Update Detector which found 5 programs in need of updating.

And -- once again -- how many out-of-date programs did SUMo find? Oh yeah, that's right . . . none!

As far as I'm concerned this is a poorly disguised attempt to convince new users to purchase KC Software's ridiculously overpriced Pro edition . . . which by the way, we were were supposed to receiving (but didn't) in this GOTD.

Listen the developer can't be bothered to update the primitive, ancient-looking GUI. And he/they can't be bothered to develop an algorithm that accurately detects necessary software updates.

I instantly uninstalled this space-wasting app from my PC. I cannot understand why anyone would actually pay for SuMo when free apps from Iobit, Glarysoft (and others) do an better job.

Program is installed and showing I need 16 updates. Problem is I can't download any of the updates. HELP PLEASE

One thing I do not like, the 'Updates' listed are it seems true. However, they do not take into account licensed products. I do not always 'buy' the most recent version when the old one works fine for me.

I also think it doesn't determine the proper version of a program, many have both 32 and 64 bit versions and not all are updated at the same time?

For instance, I've not PAID to update my Acronis True Image 2020 to the 2021 version, and it reports this:

Acronis True Image Home Acronis 24.7.1.38530 Update available (25.8.1.39216)

For my release, .38530, it is the latest 2020 version.

I have many programs listed, and many are licensed versions that do not get updates other than for the time period that is allowed.

I have a lot to look at, I wouldn't blindly update before checking.

IrvSp, Amen to you! A lot of updater programs want me to do an update when the old one works just fine. Often "updates" are just bloatware, or companies installing processes that can spy on you to see what you are doing with their program.
I use Acronis True Image Home 2017 and have no desire to update it.

Installed OK but reports plain SUMO, not PRO. Therefore, PRO update didn't work either.

This was supposed to be SUMO PRO!!

Sparky, did you change the sumo exe file name und uninstall exe file name first and updated the version then? Look in settings if you can change sumo server update to developer official web site update. If you can, you've got the pro version

Hi, Sara Agai:
I changed SUMo.exe to SUM1.exe and then tried two things: unins000.exe to unins00.exe (only took me to the page to pay for an update to pro); and unins000.exe to unins001.exe (I wasn't sure exactly what you were doing with these changes). If you were doing what I do when I change, for example, myapp.exe to myapp.exe.old (so the original executable is 'gone' as far as the program is concerned), either of them should work. The part that I'm not sure of is whether I am to make these changes and then execute SUM1.exe or have the program running when I make the changes. I am also not sure whether to make these changes before or after I put in the registration info?

Sparky, I had the program running when I updated.
Also the first thing I did was register the program after installing it. Then I changed the exe file names and then updated automatically from the program

This program is still offering Adobe Flash as an update. That is no longer supported, and in fact, Adobe wants people to uninstall it.

I liked this software so much I actually paid for it. It is fantastic, and I never have to concern myself with making sure any of my software is current since SUMo does it all for me.

I've never been very keen on Sumo so I'll probably remove it, anyway. As someone else mentioned, it's only the basic version. I've always found the interface very 1980s.

Could not get the set up program to run!

Kept getting the error message:

"A required privilege is not held by the client"

... even when I run as an administrator.

Hardly a good start!

Hey the serial number is wrong.
the serial number is for KC cleaner pro. not for Sumo.
pls change the serial number in Readme.txt file.

aprameya koushik sarukkai, You need to put 'GiveAwayOfTheDay' in the user name as well as the serial number given in the Text file.
Had me fooled the first time as well!
