Why you may want to get this software.

I use Emsisoft anti-malware with its new chrome extension as my primary protection. But a couple of years ago I found out about SecureAPus anti-malware that "diagnoses threats with 10+ cloud anti-virus engines in real-time.", and that it is compatible with most other antimalware. ...Shortly after that discovery, I won a license for it and added it to my computer.

My thinking is no matter how good any of the best-rated anti-malware software is, they need something like SecureAplus to back them up. One of the 10+ anti-virus engines from other major anti-malware used by SecureAPlus may pick up/detect the newest threat before Emsisoft finds it and updates my computer.

Can anyone be too paranoid about the threats coming from black-hat malware makers these days? ...I have 16 gigs of memory on my computer so adding this software to my machine does not seem to affect its performance at all.

In four years of use, I have had it block 6 threats my Emsisoft did not catch that turned out to not be false positives.

Thanks for listening. ...Maybe this will help somebody.

Couldn't install it. Locked up pc I had to turn it off via power button and let it set a minute. I ran a search and removed all SAP I found.

I installed and activated it okay, but it has deactivated Windows Defender. Should I reactivate it, or are they incompatible? Thanks

Dennis,
Had a MAJOR DISASTER when it started to install.....it came up with error message then froze computer --had to "pull the plug" to shut off - then it would NOT REBOOT.........even with a "boot disc".........nor get to safe mode.....when finally got to safe mode 3 hours later it had CHANGED THE TIME AND DATE.........that's really "weird"........but finally back up.running 4 hours later messing.
For fun called a friend who had a laptop he don't use......had him download and install after warning him of possible problem - - then same error...........worse problem, he can't get past F2 or F12 then nothing.....he still trying to boot up.;...what are "we" missing.

Seemed ideal, can't hurt to have an anti-virus/malware hunter for free for two years. was easy to install, took some time to download the files, but installed easily, runs without using many resources. I have win 10 x64, 32gb Ram

Your license code
is expiring on 2021-02-20 07:16:47

Online privacy nowadays almost an impossible effort since google links all your stuff together and google exchanges it with Microsoft and you are asked to perform tasks to 'ensure your safety and security' as soon as you use a new phone or laptop or moved to another country etc. So, I surrendered long ago to the fact that all stuff is already linked to all other stuff and anyone believing they have still some form of privacy is delusional.--->but this software just makes me feel as if I am standing naked in church :) --> the effort that is made to give my device (laptop) a uniquely identifiable ID that will track every page, every conversation, every bleep it's going to make from now on.....and return we get...2 years premium surveillance? I must have been mad to even go for it...I have it now installed and I read through the privacy info...and it comes down to....uuuhm: "

Please keep in mind that whenever you voluntarily disclose personal information online - for example on message boards, through email, or in chat areas - that information can be collected and used by others. In short, if you post personal information online that is accessible to the public, you may receive unsolicited messages from other parties in return.

Ultimately, you are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your passwords and/or any account information. Please be careful and responsible whenever you are online." and "this privacy policy is under constant review, and may be modified and updated in the future." ...which isn't new and everyone may call me paranoid or say that 'when you have nothing to hide you have nothing to worry about' :) go ahead...I won't even comment on it, I wonder if no-one else feels this software should be premium for life...in fact they should pay for it :)

Is it normal for the initial scan to take upwards of 7 hours to complete?

That's where I am now and it is still churning away. i really have only about 300 gb of files on my 2 tb hard drive.

When I try to "View the UAV Status" I am unable to see any files being scanned - only the icon with its propellers spinning.

Time to stop it and uninstall?

John, i have 2 SSD and 4 HDD total over 3 TB of files; took 30 minutes initial scan. Try reinstall the app.

John, Yes. The initial scan takes a long time. But, later on it will take only few mins. I am using SecureAPlus for nearly 1 year along with Bitdefender. No issues.

Omax, you need to use a "VPN" to get connected. It's somehow an issue with this site. The Opera browser has a VPN built it, and there are also free ones available.

I am having a heck of time trying to download this program. First, it took an hour and a half to load and then when it tried to install, it gave me some cockeyed error. So I deleted it and tried again. this time it told me I couldn't download because somebody else was trying to download it. What is the trouble?

Again, as above, you need to use a VPN. Wish whoever is programming this site would fix it so not necessary. Ok half the people can get though, but many cannot and will just give up and move one, never tell you.

You need to be an expert to use this software.
I already bought it in the pass this same promotion and after 1 month I uninstall it.
The software will ask you what you want to do every time, and 90% of the users have no clue what to answer.

Reply   |   Comment by Rodrigo Campos  –  9 months ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+26)

Rodrigo Campos, SMH. I respectfully disagree. You do not need to be an expert. You do need to have patience and the willingness to do some of the heavy lifting yourself. This software tool is designed to give you another level of protection beyond your anti-virus app. True, you have to "educate" it at the beginning since it knows nothing about what your have installed on your PC so yes it nags you each time you use an app that is "new" to SA+. After the initial learning curve, SA+ just sits there quietly watching over your shoulder until you install something new and you have to "educate" it again. How to determine if something is to be "trusted" or not is fairly straightforward. There are two ways to check within the SA+ app: 1) either upload the new app to the SA+ servers and let them scan it for malware or 2) Check to see if the file to be installed has already been run through Virus Total and if so what are the results. If it hasn't been analyzed by Virus Total there is nothing to prevent you from uploading the app in question to Virus Total yourself, requesting a scan and waiting for the results.

If you expect this software to tell you if a particular app will destroy your PC or not (for example, think of bogus Registry Cleaners or Reg Cleaners in the hands of noobs or crummy disk partitioning utilities, etc.) that's not going to happen for that's not the intent of this software. That's called research starting with reading software reviews. As you know, there are numerous forums with lots of knowledgeable folks to help you figure out if an app is decent, meh or should be avoided at all costs.

If that little bit is too much to ask, then no this software is not for you. I'm on my third license for this software (two freebees and now a paid 3 year subscription with another unused 3 year license waiting in my account for when the current paid license expires) and it suits me just fine. In the end, to each his/her own.

Could you explain the "ClamAV" option in the installation? Is it necessary?

5 Star. I have been using SAP for a couple of years (giveaways) and have NEVER had a problem... I like it mostly because it is one of the few A/V's that lets YOU decide if the suspect file needs to be Deleted or Kept... most A/V automatically Delete or otherwise eliminate the targeted file. Very convenient if you NEED the suspect file. Highly recommended.

Hi, if you have SecureAPlus v5.3.0 already and it shows last License till May 2020 - no need to re-install it again after downloading today's Offer (that has to be done!) Just open your SAP Console, go to Info&Licenses, log in, insert today's Code from readme text and click 'Redeem', that's it. Now click on License on the left and it will show: 'Expires on February 19, 2021..' I forgot my log in password so had to reset it today, but it all worked just fine. Thanks SecureAPlus for extending this License.

Is the mobile version included with this Giveaway? If I created account it would give me protection under the same 2 year license??

Reply   |   Comment by Kenneth B Smith  –  9 months ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+2)

Kenneth B Smith, their Android version is totally free for use, no license is needed. It's just that with the desktop premium license, you will be able to manage the portal stuff (e.g. see PC security status) using the mobile.

I'll know in a week or two if I want to keep it on my computer and if I wish to purchase it.

[ Basheer ],

"Offering" means nothing when I cannot "receive" it.

Did YOU install and see a 2-year timeframe before expiration?

I installed and it says it expires November 2019 ... when their own web page offers a 1 year freebie.

So, after all the registration Twister-game here, I actually "receive" 8 months, not the "offer" of 2 years.
