Robotask doesn't have a 30 day trial license!!!
My license is forever. You people installed it wrong.
The readme said ACTIVATE.EXE first, then setup.exe.

BTW Autohotkey is a legitimate program, check out CNet. CNet gave it 4 stars, not bad at all.
And autohotkey is freeware.

Nr. 58, you're right. Good or bad program, I don't care. I am not a computer specialist. But I don't want to be fooled. It is a GAOTD or it is not. This is indeed NOT. I removed it.

I'm afraid we got glass pearls only from Neowise this time. Some of the functions are missing. (Check the e-mail topic of the Help, and compare it with the available functions.) I also tried the FTP syncronyzing with less success - the program mixes up capital and low case letters of the filenames and detects error while downloading files.

Yes #49, I got the same detection of "newjoke" trojan. When your software detects it, answer to ignore. Your Security program should automatically block the file and install all other files. Scan your system after activation and installation just to be sure!

72: You'll need to provide more detailed info for ppl to determine why. Usually theres a "details" button you can click.
For instance, I have my Kaspersky sensitivity up high, and it alerts me to a whole bunch of things when I do things such as install my purchased copy of Bioshock, or when I install new drivers, etc. Usually its things like hidden registry key, or hidden install (from a game trying to silently update direct x), or when I do drivers its usually something trying to put itself into startup, etc. I prefer more alerts than less, so thats why I have it that way.

So you'd have to give us much more detail first about what your program is saying before we could help you.

Even though they say it is free for the visitors the software is loaded as trail version. Recently all the so called free version are not actually freeware, they are trialware.

My spyware doctor says this this software is infected with a malicious script and a trojan horse. Please check the software before installation.

I am using Vista Premium and had two problems with this one. First, after downloading it and running the program, it opens to show it's just a 30-day trial. There is no key or registration code provided to truly activate, so I tried what someone said above, to right-click and 'run as administrator' but that still didn't work. Next, I closed the program to see if re-booting would activate past the 30-day trial and the now familiar pop-up came, telling me the program failed to respond, did I want to de-bug. I closed the program completely and uninstalled from the pc.

I suspect that the original download everyone raved about was replaced with the 'trial' version sometime during the day, as my download occurred very close to the end of the cycle. Anyway, it's another program I can't use.

GOTD appears to have recoded their pages so that they again cannot be saved. I tried saving and get an immediate pop-up that says "Webpage cannot be saved". Please reverse this again so that they can be saved. They are useful information that I keep in the same directory as those programs I decide to download.

Even worse: I cannot print the page. When I try the browser stops responding. Please fix this!

A Few Notes

1. Neither this program, nor it's creators, have anything whatsoever to do with RoboForm; the similarity is purely coincidental.

2. It's a very good macro creation/managing program. I have tried it along with about 10 others (free and commercial) and for my purposes it fared the best. For example, I have it delete data folders created by some programs that don't seem to have sense enough to simply use the folders I specify! I also use it to load my email challenge/response program, open my mail client, check my several accounts for new mail, then close the chalenge/response program because I don't want or need it running all the time. I do all this with a quick Alt+M. It can come in handy for loading/unloading accessory programs when needed or not needed. Final example: I open Visual Studio, it opens a code library program for me automatically.

3. As good as the program is, I'll be a fat man if it's worth a hundred dollars! That part is just ludicrous. Apparently though, somebody's paying it because the price hasn't dropped since I first looked at it a couple years ago.

4. Finally, I can't use it, even free, because I download so many programs that I usually re-image my hard drive about every 2-3 months, and I wouldn't be able to reload it (the giveaway will have expired), and I'll be a fat man again if I'm going to create a new image just for a program like this!

Hi
To ppl like #9, #54, #61, ..., still thinking this product is related to Roboform & are equating the reputation of one w the expected performance of the other:
Like #10 said, Roboform is by SiberSystem
Today's software is by Neowise Software, the same C° who offered 2 previous Giveaways:
- Express Thumbnail Creator (24.12.6)
- NeoDownloader (15.12.6)

If anyone out there knows if these 2 C° are related &/or somehow connected, please let us know.
Again, not saying today's product is not good, just saying they don't seem to be related.

But, it would of been relevant if Neowise Software had dispelled the link, as soon as it saw that ppl were making the connection since early last night, based on the similarities of the names.
Cheers

#52 What do you mean autohotkey is a hackers site? Where would you get such an idea? If you are going to make a statement like that, you should provide the evidence that lead you to arrive at your conclusion.

Autohotkey is a perfectly legitimate open source application. It's home site www.autohotkey.com is certainly not 'a hackers site'.
This application is available for download at ZDNET (latest version) http://downloads.zdnet.com/download.aspx?&docid=233712&promo=100510
at Tucows http://www.tucows.com/preview/355189 (older version)

If you had bothered to spend even a minutes time with Google or Yahoo searching the matter, you would not have spread this misinformation. (I am assuming it was a mistake, rather than a deliberate malicious deception).

Downloaded it and opened, AVG stated that it found a trojan: Downloader. Allowed AVG to clean it. I removed the leftover registry keys and downloaded from the mirror site. AVG flagged it before it opened all the way. Same trojan was found. Cleaned up and ran AVG anti-virus and AVG anti-spyware. Both are clean. Evidentially AVG does not like this program. I know it is not the downloads as I have had not trouble before with any download. Just a notice on my experience with it.

I downloaded this last time it was offered and it has been working great since. I use it to perform some clean up and back up tasks automatically. It does support loops, if statements and waits as well as a number of other things. I have one task that waits until a file is written to a specific folder before proceeding with the next step.
You don't need to know a programming language to use it. It does help to know the basic structure of programs though.
As for mouse movements, I tell Robotask to put the mouse in the upper left corner of the window. Robotask can be set to find a specific window and the corner. I then specify how many pixels to move down and to the right. This way you don't have to worry about the mouse starting in the wrong place when Robotask starts to move it.

If Robo Task works anything like ROBO FORM, it is defiantly worth downloading. I have been using Robo Form for the last year and it make accessing any web site, password needed or not as easy as a click of the mouse. It is great for Sweepstakes forms.

A very powerful program - if you know how to use it! The program starts up with all all 21 plugins loaded e.g. registry, ftp, network e.o. which includes a risk when experimenting end learning "how to operate". The Help menu does not explain how to prevent 'auto load' of plugins or how to unload them afterwards.

One can get very quick thumbs up and down because people already have the program being offered, either from an earlier GOTD offering or paying for it (imagine that!!).

Another very flexible program of this type is PTFBpro available for $29.99 at http://www.ptfbpro.com/. It also has a user forum and active development programmers that are very responsive.
