Firstly, kudos for the fact that it's offered as lifetime software and there are no (e-mail) hoops to jump through in order to activate...both of these immediately have me onside. The program itself seems very good, I've spent an hour or two playing with the various options. It's useful to have a basic understanding of how a computer works in order to get the best from the program, although it has functions that even a beginner could use and appreciate (for instance identifying and installing potential software updates). The 'cleaning' options are good, although I personally wouldn't want to delete my entire browser cache...hence why I say that a little understanding is useful. It has some nice other tweaks as well, which are well described e.g. I didn't realise that my registry wasn't being automatically being backed up by Windows, so I've now turned that on. The name of the product "Reg Organizer" doesn't really seem to cover what it is capable of, as it seems to imply that it's just a tool to amend the computer's registry, when it does so much more?

Except from; saving disk space, what is the use of this?

JJ Vastiau, true that even using the uninstall feature it does save disk space as most uninstallers provided by developers do not really clean up everything. They don't care if there is junk left on your machine if you uninstall their program. I use SoftOrganizer for years, paid.
First, that feature used to track installs lets you see that nothing unwanted was installed - such as when you grab a free version from here ( :) ) . Second, when you want to install a new version with a giveaway key, sometimes the new install uses a leftover prior key, not the new one with an extension of the license. So using this uninstaller gets rid of the old key/license completely. I have seen this happen.
Using this to track the installs and doing the search after official uninstall, then cleaning the list of detritus of unrelated items does take time. Maintenance takes time. Some don't care, don't wish to take the time. Your choice. I find it keeps my system clean. And I NEVER use a registry cleaner. Only the registry items found as part of the uninstall get removed.

After using several modules, this software seems to be working well, with additional tools (uninstall, clean, startup control with info on programs, and many others.). Thanks!

Downloaded fine but when I extract and try to run setup, I get the windowes message asking me if I want to continue, but then nothing happens?

Craig Timmreck, did you run it as Administrator?

ELBE, Yes I did? I am the Administrator.

I have used Soft Organizer, which seems to be a part of this program, and it works well to monitor changes to the file system during program installations. If you need to uninstall, it uses the traced changes to completely remove a program. Much better than built-in Windows install/uninstall procedure. The other features of Reg Organizer seem useful for cleaning and modifying Windows, but I would recommend caution using any software that modifies the registry, unless you're an advanced user. In my experience, that area that is almost always best left alone. Thanks for today's offer!

It certainly improves the running of my W7 system but it did flag up Glary & CCleaner as a start up when they had been disabled earlier using MSConfig the day before (and rebooted since) so I found that a bit strange.
It also has a Programme removal built in that populates with all installed software pretty fast but i expect it uses the built in system (memory) for that whereas others (Revo) seems to hunt for them each time.
Definitely a thumbs UP and a keeper, so coupled with yesterdays offering it has been a very useful two days.

I generally avoid tools that "automatically" clean the system, but this program is a keeper for several reasons. It has detailed release notes (always a good sign), a resizeable main window, and numerous "manual" tools that are useful to power users. The installer allows you to opt out of some phone-home features, even explaining those in detail. It respects users who aren't beginners. Kudos.

Right away, there's no registering with a company or even needing to provide an email, so that's nice.
Seems to work fine with a nice UI and a variety of options, including privacy options. I'm looking forward to running it through its paces.
