I bought this a few months ago after the free trial ended. I now have version 2.0.762.191 and it says that is the latest version. Why won't it update to version 2.0.852?

Simon, the 2.0.852 is the version number of the giveaway version. The features are the same and the only difference is that they are different versions. :-)
And currently, 2.0.762 is the latest official version. :-)

Anno, Click on the Download button on this page, follow the steps to get the ZIP file downloaded.
In the txt file of the ZIP, you can get a link to get the license code.
Visiting the link, you can insert your name, email, verify that you are not a robot, and click Get the Code.
And then the license code will be sent to your email.

Downloaded, installed and registered very easily.
Tried it and must say, quite impressed for it's small size (program).
It even recognizes installed Virtual Cam (in my case OBS Virtual Cam)
It pics up all active Microphones and Webcams.
You can start creating reasonable tutorials with screen recording and webcam.
I like the "follow the mouse" option.
Obviously there are other more professional software out there and very costly.
My favourite is still OBS, however, this one is small and quick to use without all the fanfare.
I'm keeping it.

Terry Ive, the server sees only your public IP address, which is likely shared by many users. So if someone from the same area downloaded and/or registered it, it may seem to the server that there are multiple requests from the same computer, since it doesn't know that there are multiple users behind the same public IP. Waiting a bit before you try again may help.

JoeJ, your attempt to explain the problem does not make any sense. Every computer has it's own unique IP address, whether it is dynamic or static. There is no way a server would see all requests as coming from the same IP address. Obviously you have no idea of how computers and servers work, do your homework before making such stupid comments. As a retired network technician I know a thing or three about how they work.

Hi Terry Ive, we replied to every email. And at last, we found that it's not a problem with the software. So we suggested you contact GOTD. And I also send an email to GOTD about your issue. I'll get back to you when I get a reply. And currently, it seems that it's something like what JoeJ explains. We tested on our side and got the same problem if applying more than one time with the same public IP address.

Ghanshyam Acharya, usually after one year, programs like these do either expire and will be limited in some way (x minutes of recording only and watermark present in the recorded video) or they downgrade back to free versions with some limitations.
From their FAQ:
"What is the difference between the free trial and full version?
The two do have the same recording performance. But with full version, you can enjoy an unlimited recording without fixed watermark, as well as some advanced features like task schedule, watermark customization etc."
