It took me 4 tries, but I FINALLY got it to accept my registration licence key! It kept telling me the key was wrong, or invalid or something, even though I just copied and pasted it from the website. Don't know if anyone else is having the same problem or not.

For those situations where your private note on your PC screen reads:

How I wish I was on a Krabi (Thailand) beach holiday instead of presenting to this bunch of idiots"

And your presentation slide projected on the big screen reads:

I am delighted to be here to present to you, our honoured clients, my company's latest XXX product.

Had no luck at all with this software. When I connected an external monitor to my laptop, graphics card recognizes two monitors, but Presentation Screen Master does not recognize the external monitor. Played around with all settings on laptop to no avail. Get a message that says software is for use with more than one monitor, but only one monitor was detected. Disappointing!

Folks, this is CLEVER.

The problem with conventional screen sharing is that you may have documents, apps, etc., on your screen that you want to keep private. Doc names, for example, may reveal something you DO NOT want other people to be aware of (particularly in a business environment, but personal as well). Or, perhaps you may be less concerned about privacy but you don't want distracting clutter.

Usually, this would force you to clean everything off your desktop before you share your screen. With this app, you don't have to do that. You can demo or communicate something in a limited area.

That makes this app pretty useful.

@5 Sol

MS Windows can use a second monitor.
And I have used this function many times.
There are some restrictions.
You can clone the first monitor on the second monitor
Or you can expand/enlarge the first monitor with the second. Par examples: the whole desktop will expand from 1024*800 -> 2048 * 800
But when the second monitor has different ratio heigth/width, then there a little problems.

The software of today can put a part of the desktop on the second monitor and enlarge it/zoom. So the people in the back of the audience can also see it
Normal:

Zoomed-in:

Just with Ctrl+Mousewheel

I don't have a laptop with HDMI.

why is "multiple monitors" NOT listed as a system requirement? As it happens I have them but no need for this software now or in the foreseeable future

Ok found the trick to make it work. You need to select extend display from control panel, screen resolution. By default it is set to duplicate, which doesn't work

@#5 Sol:
You could use the "Extended" option to do the same thing as this program. Basically, you set your main computer as the host screen with the "make this my main display" option. Once you have set your properties and the screen is "extended" to the display screen, you would then move only the presentation program you are using in the meeting to the second display and keep all of your desktop and other programs on your "main" display.

I imagine this software simply sets these options for people who don't know about these choices.

That is correct. I use my laptop regularly to present onscreen and keep the laptop screen available for email, etc. I've not done it via HDMI, so I can't speak to that.

I have not tried this as my work laptop is locked down to prevent the user from installing unapproved software.

If this software does extend this functionality, $15 (the 1/2 off special for today) seems reaasonable.

I do a lot of office presentation during meetings and when presenting proposals. I downloaded and used Presentation Assistant given away before with the same developer, and i liked it...but lost it when i had my laptop crashed and restored. but then i got the MS powerpoint 2013 which has the same ability as today's giveaway, plus the animation of course....switch to office 2013 or at least install Powerpoint 2013 if you guys are looking for a more decent/reliable tool of this kind. I did not vote this down though just because it has no use to me, just to be fair with the rating system. Thanks as usual GOTD Team!!! Kudos!

For all people unable to test this software because they are missing a second monitor:
If you own a modern tv and a HDMI cable you have got a second monitor!

I myself don't need Presentation Screen Master 1.1.6.
If I need a second monitor it's for GIMP and other photo improvement software, tools on one monitor and the pic itself on theother and this windows can do by itself. I never need second monitor restricted to a selected area.

It doesn't seem to work using HDMI. Probably needs a VGA connection to the external monitor.

For those asking what good is it: This is a useful function for presentation to an audience, such as a class.
You can for instance run a presentation, meanwhile look for some other document (a picture, a movie, a pdf file) privately on your private screen, and present that when ready.

Just some questions for those who try this software, before I consider installing it:

This is software made for MSWindows, doesn't MSWindows already have the extended desktop function built-in for multiple monitors, to where one would only have to put the portion to be viewed on the extended desktop to the second monitor?

Also, if someone has tried it, does this "only display a portion" also apply to HDMI outputs, or is the HDMI output going to display the full desktop on the HDMI TV as it now does?

i don't have much use of this sw with my limited multi-tasking capabilities. having dual-core brain it would be nice to present slide-show and simultaneously write a paper or play solitaire...
;-)
in testimonials on the producer´s web some example of use is given, but for my presentations i cannot imagine need of this functionality.
company has also other presentation sw, i have their presentation pointer and it is really useful for me and it works well.

Installed and registered without problems: on opening it stated that it required two monitors to be able to function, sadly a requirement I was unable to fulfil.
Looks like an interesting program for teachers, it presents three options the ability to show the full screen, part screen or application window on the second monitor.
Would love to have a play with this program, maybe possible to connect an old monitor of mine to my system., would be useful when my granddaughter comes to see me, maybe I could get some work done and entertainer her at the same time.:-)
If you can fulfil the requirements, two monitors on your system, probably worth giving it a download.

Is it possible to make the portable version work with this giveaway ?
If so, how to save the registration file in a portable way ?

Installed and registered without problems on a Win .1 64 bit system.

A Chinese company without address, digitally signed Daoyu Liu.

Could not test the software today, because of the lack of a multiple monitor system.

The aim of this program is simple - it can display the whole screen on another monitor, a selected area or an applikation window, where you work at the moment (as written in the description above).

I have no use for this software. Have a nice s
Sunday - I would be interested in comments who really needs a software where he can do "private work" and display only a selected part of the screen.
