Everyone who surfs the Net comes across information they need to keep. With CaptureSaver you can permanently save selected text, images, and complete Web pages, then edit, mark, organize, and search for information in your offline personal and portable knowledge base. CaptureSaver lets you arrange your data in a free-form hierarchical tree.
Using Presentation Screen Master is a great way to do the private works in one computer (your laptop, for example), while your audience views part of the screen on a different monitor (projector). You can present only selected area of the screen or an application on your computer, viewers will not be able to see any other content on your desktop.
TaskmgrPro enhances Windows Task Manager and provides powerful features. You can batch kill or resurrect processes in the Processes tab, batch stop or start services in the services tab, view all established TCP connections in the additional TCP/IP tab, manage the Windows startup procedure in the additional Startup tab, schedule shutdowns/reboots/... in the additional Shutdown tab and manage shared folders easy in the additional Shares tab.
The software installed and activated flawlessly. My comments here are based on trial and error use of the software and a quick read of the quick start tutorial.
First, under Tools/Tool Configuration then the General tab, there is a choice to prohibit checking for a new version. Since this is GAOTD, I checked it because I understand a new version will invalidate the license for it. I don't know if this was intended but under Help is a choice to switch editions to professional and ultimate. I tried it and it seemed to work. By going to ultimate, the window matches the tutorial and you end up with more features. Tools is found in the "main control panel".
When you double click the desktop icon the "main control panel" comes up. I found that to appear flaky in its operation (probably because I am new to this.) One example is that I set the view to hide on the left and it shifted over time to hide on the top or bottom. I found that if I left click on the icon in the system tray and then choose whiteboard, a screen comes up with drawing tools that actually work.
I was hoping this would allow me to add comments/pointers/sketches to other documents (pdfs, word docs, a scanned in document). I have to work with the program more.

Yes as stated plenty of free programs that will do more than today's offer
I use Faststone capture and demo builder portable
Don't remember if I had to pay for them though as I have had them for a few years.

Hi, I think Giovanni and Others nailed it today to the core! Giving away half-baked Product results in Testers spitting it out and never wanting to find out what the "real thing" tastes like. Especially when being nagged to do so! That's the psychology of it.
Promo Pop-ps, mail addresses grabbing and other such practices are time and time again in MAJORITY of cases Counterproductive! They are a massive TURN-OFF for prospective Buyers!
Giveaways here are "limited" enough as it is (no updates, chances of losing them altogether when changing computers, or in crashes), so anything less than a decent Versions presented here seems mean and shabby on Developers part. Never look a gift horse in a mouth? Sorry, care what you put in it in a first place! That's basically fair for All taking part in GAOTD Exercise?

Personally I despise software that is supposed to be given away only to find out it has built in NAG SCREENS to buy
So I say bye bye!
This is NAGWARE and not a Giveaway. Personally, I would much rather see real software given away all week long than to have different programs each day like this one.

This software's download package was suspicious after the automatic scanning with Microsoft Security Essentials.
Also Recently any software at giveawayoftheday.com seems to be trial versions with limitations or expiration time limits.
I am hoping giveawayoftheday.com does not miss that the original spirit of the site was GiveAway and if you like, you purchase it, because you can use it and appreciate the programmer's efforts. It seems giveawayof theday.com is becoming a Trial-Software site, or a time-limited site.
This is too bad for me because rather than looking forward to the next software to test, I am disappointed with a software that I can not fully use.
There is too much competition for the money to not make your software the BEST by having it 100% functional and 100% free you will get users to buy the software to get the improvements in the new, better version.
As the other posts said, not really worth the cost of $29.95 it is asking as a lot of these functions are already built into Windows or easily obtainable as 'freeware'. For me it is that the software is not 100% functional, and causes a Security Alert.
All offers of software on GiveAwayoftheDay.com should be Give-Aways.
Please programmers, be the Best with 100% availability of functions.

I think it needs to be able to play your presentation and allow for a little bit of audio and video in order to do my presentations I have to show it in motion and not just a still sideshow attraction that goes 1 fpm I am exaggerating a bit but you get the jist.

Re #7: "It is not only a limited edition, they also build in especially for GAotD a annoying promo-popup at program startup... "
For their software "Presentation Marker" (a GOTD in April 2012), they also used a very annoying popup to advertise their Presentation Assistant Pro on each program start-up. It was so irritating that I hardly ever used it.
So it is a big no-no for me for today's offer.

Giovanni and others:
This website once started out as a good way to try a company's software. Now, it is a way for people to try SPAMWARE. In other words, this site makes its money off of YOU, which is ok because I am a Capitalist. However, this website also promotes 3rd party SPAMWARE. Once the software company has your email address, you are doomed.
The software offered here is not very good. It is better to visit BITSDUJOUR.COM for your software, where they offer QUALITY software either free or at a significant discount.

I really would have liked to try out the pro version. It is disappointing, to say the least, that it is a limited version.

As mentioned previously by Giovanni, this offering is pure *CRAP* in the purest sense (if that is even possible). I hope some of you fellow users refuse to download or use this severely crippled "standard" version. As a professional, I often purchase new software packages, but with these tactics, I won't even try it.
The GOTD! "nag" screen is also a BIG "no no" in my book. I can see this developer has a LOT to learn. A sign of the times I suppose. For being severely crippled *and* the presence of a website-specific "nag" screen, I would rate this developer and their software a big, fat zero!

im not buying it. I hate crippleware and a timebomb or subscription based that will convert to trial after expiration. I'll wait for american or german, russian developers for they can provide a not subscription base software.

don't expect a chinese company that will give you the not limited giveaway. It is there tradition to give a limited or crippleware.

Work-around for the bug with the On-Screen Keyboard on Win7: copy the osk.exe from the windows\system32 directory into the program directory of PA and put the new path into the tools-settings. That will do the trick.

Thanks GAOTD and GoldGinko for this offer.
I have been using Presentation Marker since it was offered here, and I was quite happy with it. This one is an upgrade to PM, having everything PM had plus a few more nice tools like different screen capturing modes, different modes of handling the captured images for further use in other applications etc.
The only thing which doesn't seem to work for me is calling the On-Screen Keyboard from the tools section. This will produce an error saying "Could not start the On-Screen Keyboard", no matter what settings I use. I tried running the prog as Admin, Compatibility mode, changing the address, using flags...
For what it's worth: I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium on a 64bit Samsung Notepad.

Re #4, “… just the standard (limited features) edition.”
It is not only a limited edition, they also build in especially for GAotD a annoying promo-popup at program startup. Really annoying and ugly. No way to turn it off and at every programstart. This is the case after registration!
Switching to pro or ultimate lasts only limited time and is just trialware.
This is really a cripled version.

Re #4, "... just the standard (limited features) edition."
You can switch to the professional and ultimate editions from within the menu (help/switch edition). I expect that will be possible for at least 30 days.
See http://www.presentation-assistant.com/compareedtions.htm
to find out what you can do with this giveaway in the standard edition.

I did not see it mentioned in the manual, but if you hold SHIFT, you can draw perfect horizontal and vertical lines.

Holy CRAP!
The PRO version is an excellent tool, but what is offered here is (once again) just the standard (limited features) edition.
Until developers use this website to give us only the crippled version of their main programs, I'll never make any review about their products, because this was not the main goal on the basis of which this marveloous service was launched a few years ago. Hope other people here do the same...too BAD!

Along with the Presentation Assistant, the same publisher has offered here Presentation Pointer and Presentation Marker. Judging by the prices, Presentation Assistant must be more complete. Here you can find the links:

Registers easy on Windows 7 and 8. It only asks for a name, not an email which is greatly appreciated. This version appears to only take screenshots and not record a video. The tools to create a prsentation out of screenshots are great but why this would not have a screen record feature is baffling. Am I missing something? IBM leads the market in presentation making. Fraps has been the leading product in screen recording for gaming but appears to have stopped improving it.
My suggestion is to make this capable of recording video of what we are teaching and edit that. Also, broaden your market with a gaming recording feature with voiceover capabilities.

Installed easily on Win XP SP3. When I copied and pasted the registration code it didn't recognise it, so I re-registered using a different name and this was successful.
Fairly limited amount of tools for presentations, and includes an on screen clock, quick links to the Windows on-screen keyboard and calculator, and a screen grabbing function. All in all a handy set of tools but not really worth the $29.95 it is asking as a lot of these functions are already built into Windows or easily obtainable as freeware (Zoomit, irfanview etc)
Un-installing it now.
