Hi All!

There was an installer bug in the initial version so some of you may have installed the program in "Croatian" instead of "English", even though you selected the English during the setup.

We replaced the installer with the "English only" version in the meantime!

The current version available for download now is ENGLISH only!

If you already installed the multilingual version, you can change language through the program tray menu.

- Right-click the program icon in the Tray (looks like tiny landscape image, green, blue)

- Select "Odaberi jezik" (Choose Language)
- Select "English"

You'll get English right away.

Well, yes and no. Namely, those Tourist Board logos will disappear, but it will not be 100% clean as photographer's logo will take their place. Not as prominent as those two, but... Something is still there. Enough for me to mention since you directly asked about that particular feature. I think we'll re release it without any logos in November if not sooner, but for now... Sorry. Thanks for asking!

There is no .exe file in the zip file only a txt file. What do I do?

Keith, you have to open up the readme.txt file and from there you can download the program and activate it.

I'm using the new Chrome browser on a windows 10 pro x64. Everything went well and installed properly. I really like it :) I always forget my other calendars, but this one is always in front of me ;) It's easy to use, and very pretty! I got the extra free pictures. :) Got the duck up now! lol Thank you GOTD and Art Plus.

I cannot uninstall this program
I have used windows 8 control panel to uninstall - it removed most
then asked to remove leftovers manually which I did.
Wallpaper still loads up - I want this off my computer please help

I guess the program uninstalled but somehow left the wallpaper image in the background. Try replacing the wallpaper through Windows personalization options.

Dino, while our team is spread worldwide, the project was launched in Zagreb Croatia. Originating from ArtPlus Inc. software, ePix is now launching under a new brand, ePixEditions, again from Zagreb, Croatia. That's the current state but I can't disclose information about future developments. Anyway, straight answer to your question is, we're not American. Sorry if that's a problem for you.

After downloading I attempted to link to the site as directed but in Edge, Opera and IE, all refused saying the site is insecure.

Gave up at that time.

Followed the URL, entered the code, downloaded the program and installed without issue..beautiful pictures to use a desktop, and I must say, a number of them remind me of the northern portion of my province during fall. Have not had time to "monkey around" with other parts of the program, but its nice to have a big font calender ,off to the side, for quick reference. My display resolution is set at 1920x1200 already (Ive manually increased the fonts etc) so cannot comment on other posters replies as far as resolution issues.

Sounds like an OK program if you're into wallpapery, desktop stuff...will pass, but thanks for the offer.
Glad to see all the 'children' are back...all the ones whining about what language it's in and can't figure
out how to change it...and off course the ones that CAN'T READ to install it...and the special one that
thinks they are so awesome using a download manager for a Giveaway and don't know how to shut it
off...especially when everyone knows the official and most spoken language on earth is Klingon.

Download and installation went smoothly.
The program launched and changed my desktop background to beautiful scenery. A calendar appeared on the right. It also asked me to connect to the Internet to check for new editions. It found two new images which I chose to download and add to the list.
Now at the bottom of my desktop there was a transparent band with options to view copyright info, print, change image, show/hide calendar, notes and desktop icons, open list of images and app preferences. I chose the latter and saw a window with several available settings in Images tab: choose monitor, images to show, rate of selected images auto change (every 5/10/15/30 min/hourly/daily/weekly/monthly), image position on screen, thumbnail size. The Design tab allowed me to custom tailor Calendar and Quick Notes position on screen, change visibility and transparency, fonts and colors. The Options tab allows to configure desktop control band: show/hide icons, choose icon size and transparency.
The program also placed its icon in the tray with all necessary options available via right mouse click. There's an option to run at startup, which is checked by default.
After some exploring I found out you can add your own holidays and make entries to the Journal, which is useful, of course.
Interesting fact. Although the system requirements state Windows 7 as the minimum, I decided to try it on my legacy PC with XP and it was fully compatible. A small surprise.
Overall this program left a positive impression, but I couldn't help noticing a few drawbacks.
As all 12 default images are 1920x1280, I was having difficulty adjusting them to my non-standard screen resolution (16:9). The closest I could get to the desirable was by choosing the Center option under image position in Preferences, which cropped and centered the image to my desktop. Obviously, the devs should think of a better way of adjusting images to various screen resolutions. The default options do not really give you the best result.
Also, when I closed the program, it kept the latest used image on desktop. I'd rather had it returned to the wallpaper I was using before.
And I'm not sure why it keeps showing in Taskbar when running, shouldn't it be hidden?
After some playing around I decided to uninstall and it asked me if I wanted to keep its files (Calendar, Quick Note and Journal entries, images and settings). Uninstall also went quickly and smoothly, so there were no major issues with today's offered software.

The program can't be downloaded with IDM (Internet Download Manager).
I'm receiving a message telling that "an error occured while creating a secured connection with www.epixeditions.com".
Someone can explain why, please?.

But I could download with Internet Explorer and Google Chrome, disabling IDM. So, I think you only have a problem with downloaders like Internet Download Manager. What do you think about?.

Reussite Oisillon, actually, you may be onto something! I'll have to check. I think there may be something that may cause different behavior in browser as opposed to downloader! In browser all the http links are automatically redirected to https, so you get a secure download. Maybe the downloder can't handle this redirect instruction. One of the redirects in the procedure is http (no 's') so this could break in downloader.

We're not going to touch it now in the middle of the giveaway, but we'll check this tomorrow. Thanks for reporting!

You have to use the given link to go to the software web page: https://epixeditions.com/plitvice2rjug
Then you enter the given gift code, which is between quotation marks in the readme file, to obtain the link for downloading the program.

Under "Buy now at $9.95 USD", you can see "Do you have the Gift Code?". You click on it to make it disappear, and paste the gift code there. Then you click on "Get Your Gift", that will take you to another page showing the download link telling "Download Your Calendar".

after downloading the file (which was very fast download), I open it up to only get the info file. there is no program.

Then yes. But people on this forum are used to English and the program is advertised by the GOTD as English so... they're right to complain.

Though of course, you're right too!

Your point just isn't clear enough the way it's written. It sounds as if 96% of the people on Earth speak Croatian... Which, I guess... might be a bit exaggerated ;)

Terry, there was a bug in the installer as we released new version specifficaly for the GOTD and obviously made i mistake.

We fixed it in the meantime. If you download it again now, you will get only English language.

Alternatively, you can continue using the same version but change the default language through the Tray menu.

- Select "English"

You'll get English right away.

The ReadMe File provides specific, step-by-step instructions on how to find/download the program installer, using the given Gift Code. If you follow these instructions, as noted, you will be able to download/activate the program.
