I would have liked to try this software but since I only learned of it from this morning's email (2/17/20) the offer had expired before I had the opportunity to download it. I do appreciate the opportunity to try new things and there are a number of programs I've tried via GotD and gone on to purchase the full version. I'm just a bit disappointed this time as it seems your wires got a bit crossed on timing.

Installed and registered. Windows 10, 64: the program doesn't start. Error: "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0150004). Click OK to close the application".

Note this is the same version that was given away in Nov 2020... the program is from Feb 2017.
It did install as a 64-bit program on my system.

FRANZIS is an excellent company and has excellent software about picture modifications, however, most of us like natural pictures and not an artificially filled spaces or objects being removed. I have tried this software before and the results are excellent, if you are into AI pictures that is, I'm not, I like all the shadows and movements, they represent a snap shot of the life around the object and all the vitality and figures around it, gives the object validity and value. Do not let this comment discourage you for not trying it, it is an excellent software.

NOT disagreeing, if/when you're working with an old photo print where portions are missing, e.g. faded or physically damaged, *sometimes* tools for removing objects can work better than alternatives like clone or stamp tools for restoration.

mike, this software can not repair damaged picture, they want you to have many snap shots from different angle in order to interpolate of what really is behind the object in front of it, otherwise the AI will fill it with gibberish and that is why is called a guessing game to fill the missing part.
There are different software for repairing a damaged picture not this one.

Ben, sorry, I meant these sorts of tools in general, like Inpaint or the object removal tools in many photo editors.
If/when part of a photo is missing, say from fading or being torn, you can paint in the missing portion, but that requires a bit of artistic talent & skill. You can try to use clone / stamp tools to copy parts of the photo from undamaged areas, or a different photo entirely, but that can give you sometimes very visible patterns -- you can easily see where each brush stroke or dab was applied. Wall or building textures, trees, foliage, & grass come to mind. An app like Inpaint OTOH tries to stretch &/or replicate the data surrounding the area you select -- in essence the area you're removing is the damaged portion.

Mmmm .. This caused a few problems. After downloading and right clicking on the file to unzip (virus protection on) I got a black screen which I couldn't escape from and had to do a restart. Tried a second time with anti-virus) off and same thing again after restarting I downloaded again just in case the download was corrupted. Tried again and same thing happened. Virus scan didn't detect anything. Wiped from drive I'm using Win 11 so might be a compatibility issue.
