Well just downloaded a movie from YT... "Free with ads". This is not supposed to dwonload the ads so I took a chance.

1: Took longer to download than the movie would have played for.

2: Just tried to see what it looked like... Yeah absolute rubbish. The first 5 seconds of the opening (the makers stuff) looked okay.

3: After that there was nothing but random, rainbow coloured, large, blocky pixels. There was nothing even remotely like a movie to watch... nothing like anything ... unless you're into rubbish psychedelic patterns...

That's a NO from me.

Just wanted to check on the license details. On this page it says under LICENSE DETAILS "1 year license." Opening the
README.TXT file, it says "Lifetime with 1 year updates." So, does that mean it's a lifetime of use, but updates for only 1 year? Thanks!

I downloaded it, installed it but everytime I tried to get an activation key it kept saying no internet connection which is wrong as I was able to surf the internet at the same time which means I do have an internet connection.

GGGG,
your antivirus or firewall might be blocking the outcoming connections,
so the program can't contact the server.
You may whitelist the program or temporarily disable those.

Helen, Bit late now I suppose, but the vendors of this app emailed me *yesterday* (08 Jan 2024) to say that they had originally sent the key for Mac not PC. And that's why it wouldn't connect. They sent a new key yesterday, and after a couple of quick clicks on the register button it worked this time. This was NOT user error, or AV/Firewall problem. It was a vendor problem - Just FYI.

One major disadvantage has such programs, you have to take all the commercials, especially if everything comes from YouTube.

TK, does a downloader like MovieJack pose as a media player to the web site? If it downloads the media content files too quickly or shares the wrong info with the web site, won't the site know that a download is occurring? This seems risky. No movie is worth having your door kicked in at 5 AM and all the associated repercussions.

Barry Hockey, The advantage or disadvantage that Frostwire has is that when there are few or no "seeders", you know that certain movies cannot be downloaded.
