Downloading MG Folder Icon Basic 7.0.0.15 went smoothly on my Dell Windows 11 machine. Installing ran into a snag when the software reported that the icon packs would not load. Even so, I was able to register the software successfully. However, when I tried to run the software it would not load. I have no other option but to delete the software.

Downloaded programme, tried to install it, and got numerous error messages. Programme opened and allowed me to register it. Closed it, used short cut to load it, showed it loading, and then nothing. Tried twice and then uninstalled it. Any advice?

Folder Marker is better and has a free version.

During installation it said it could not register about 5 file types. Said not allowed. Triggered antivirus as not signed. After allowing program, it installs in context menu but does not display as in pictures above. Not sure if this is how it is supposed to work. Yes I tried all of the buttons/menus at the top. Has promise but not quite sold on it yet.

I checked out the pro version and seems to have a lot of options with easier interface to work with.

It is a good software and if you like colored icons, it is an excellent choice. I used it in the past and like it a lot, however, after 100,000 icons created, I got lost, they started to look alike with very little difference from each other and the screen got so colorful that my eyes started to hurt and it was difficult to tell the difference between them unless you read the description.
If you have small amount of folders, this is an ideal software to use.
